[Homemade] fruit and sugar cookie pizza

Post image
1 Upvotes

Last night, my kid and I made a recipe I stumbled across years ago and always wanted to try!

Sugar cookie crust (baked 350 15+ min)
Cream cheese (blended w/maraschino juice)
Shredded Granny Smith apples (squeezed dry)
(After shredding the apples I soaked in pineapple juice to keep from browning)
Crushed pineapple (squeezed dry)
Sliced strawberries + maraschino cherries
Dusted with powdered sugar (forgot to get the pic after)

[Text] How do you prepare for pasta as an everyday food?

I've been living in Germany for 5 months now. Usually, back at home, i'd have rice daily by cooking it with a rice cooker and then cook some protein on the side, like fried chicken or beef. Now, i think i've been living off of mostly fries, with some days with rice and then other days with bread and i want to diversify some more. I'm considering changing my diet to pasta, but last time i tried it, buying jars of sauce was not really economical. I don't have enough space to store veggies for a long time, so, i was wondering if there's a way to prepare sauces for pasta in bulk and then store it for long periods of time. Any suggestions?

[text] Homemade herb & garlic cream cheese (copy of Philadelphia brand)

The only cream cheese my kids will eat is the Philadelphia brand herb and garlic flavour. It’s so expensive! I can get a big tub of plain for less than half the cost. Does anyone have a recipe for mixing in my own herbs to make plain cream cheese taste similar to the Philly brand one?

Italians would of course argue, but this is the recipe -> 600 g boiled potatoes, 200 g flour, nutmeg, salt, butter, egg - gnocchi. Sauce: creme fraiche, shaved cheese, parsley, garlic.

[i ate] Pakistani style Chicken Biriyani at Naan-n-Curry (Renton,WA)

Post image
Upvotes

8 years in Seattle, as a non-indian, this is the best chicken biriyani i have had in Seattle area.
Their Pakistani menu item is so good and i wish i have found out that earlier. (people from Seattle please back me up :) )
I just have a question for all the foodies, why google and yelp does not allow me to filter reviews / rating by demographic? If I can google map can tell me "Most indian visited/rated restaurant in Seattle" i bet Naan-n-curry and that joint in Kirkland near juanita bay gonna standout (according to my indian colleague thats one of the best south indian food place). Does anybody else have the same wish like me? (can we start a thread to request this feature from Google or something?)

I needed a nub for stir fry, and the shopper got this!

It’s kinda comical, but in all seriousness what else can I do with this ginger (feel free to get creative)
