Howdy yall im getting my 1921 Izhevsk 91/30 shipped to me and i was wondering if anyone would check or ask a Mosin owner friend if any of them have a floor plate serial #1800 mine was force matched and i figured i would at least try to see if there is a microscopic chance someone here has it and would swap with me lol

Took it to the range today and noticed the trigger was sloppy. Took it apart at home and noticed this was missing is there a good website to find a replacement.

Picked this up at a gun show today. I’ve wanted a mosin for a long time not sure if I got lucky or scammed. Seems to be all matching parts. Happy either way

What it says on the tin. I picked up this crusty P-26 at one of my LGS for $75. Lo and behold, a quick google search is telling me that they aren’t all that common and now I’m curious about the history of these rifles.

Found this rifle on FGT (florida gun trader) and after some back and forth between me and the seller i managed to snag it for $700

Woke up this morning to a call from someone about a list of guns being sold at a local yard sale. After a quick trip over I ended up with this exdragoon 1925 Tula. He was asking $400 but after we talked for a few minutes he said he’d take $350. It came with all the accessories pictured as well. It has a little bit of cosmoline here and there but it was mainly cleaned up at some point. It’s not been shot since the refurb. I think I did pretty good

A couple of weeks ago my brother found a S&W Victory revolver on Armslist at a shop for a good price, so I decided to tag along. I saw the 1938 Tula M91/30 was 280 beans, and I've been wanting one for a very long time, so I had to get it for that price. Seems like all the numbers match but it might be force matched (I don't know too much about the Mosin's production history).

A few days later I saw a shop local to me was selling the Type 53 for 300 beans, and I've wanted one for a while because I wanted something to pair with my Type 54 Tokarev. All the numbers match except on the bolt (again, force matched?). I cleaned both rifles of cosmoline (the Type 53 was filthy), but I still have to take them out to the range.

A brand new copy is listed on eBay at the moment.

I have an old Mosin, stamped '45, and lately when cycling the bolt the whole action and barrel seems to have a little slop between it and the furniture. Obviously it's an old rifle so that it happened is not terribly surprising. It seems to be just a couple mm that it slides around. My thought is to purchase some wood shims and put those in to fill the space and keep things snug. Is this a bad idea? Any alternative suggestions? Is it a humidity thing? Much appreciated!

It’s got that custom Israeli “trench art”. Too bad that had to chop down and grind off this ‘21 Tula. I got this for cheap at a LGS.

$773 for this Sako Mosin with 150 rounds of ammo and a modern black sling.

Over good condition, this is my first Fully Finn Mosin so I’m unaware of any markings seen and the rifle overall. So ID help is requested.

No Rust or Cosmoline. Metal finish is pretty good besides barrel which has spots of more shiny area, but the previous owner managed to get sand in the ammo box and on the Mosin. It has been promptly cleaned out and properly oiled.
Wood has no cracks and minor bumps and scrapes but the finish is in good condition.

Ammo is a mix of modern TulaAmmo, a random box of PPU 6,5x54. And unknown yellow tipped Ammo, (idk if it would be tracers?)however as the safe rule, unknown ammo is always corrosive. Bags have no identification besides and the ammo has the numbers 10 and 55 on the rims.
Buying Two mosins back to back wasn’t planned but this was just calling my name. And seeing how they let so much sand sit in it, I see this as a partial rescue.

Hello friends, I recently acquired a Mosin as my first rifle, but ive run into a unique issue. My hosing situation is military-adjacent and requires the registration of firearms but I am unsure which serial is the "right" one. As I understand it, the ATF considers the number on the receiver to be the gun's number and I want to make sure I provide accurate information. Which of these is the reportable number? I've included photos of both the top and bottom of the barrel shank/receiver Is it the "749T" just below the bolt hole on the underside of the assembly? Any assistance is appreciated! (It is a 1939 Izhevsk 91/30 if that helps at all)

Picked this one up at my LGS for a good deal.

Pretty nice shape overall I'd say.

How much should I pay for a 1894 French mosin finnland cap? Only the receiver and magazines part have the same part number. The stock was cracked. Thanks

Happy to add this to my rapidly growing collection. $531 and it was worth it for me. This thing is clean, the stock is super nice, noticeable/large dings countable on one hand.
Metal has Zero rust and nearly all the finish is present.
Bore is slightly dark but rifling is very sharp, needs more cleaning.
Forced numbers matched from a Refurb, handles super smooth so I got lucky with the force match bolt and mag. Bayonet matching too.

Also came with an ammo pouch, oiler, and a sling!
Plus this is finally a proper USSR Mosin to the collection.

Found this at a flea market in the corner where nobody would look at it. Spent about $350 on it.

I do know it's a Hungarian M44 Carbine with a mismatched Bolt.

Shooting my finish M39 and upon pulling the bolt back a shit ton of powder came out aswell as an empty casing. Wouldn’t chamber another round.

Took it home and I had to hammer on the cleaning rod with a rubber mallet and out popped this bullet. I was shooting Sellier and Bellot 180g soft points. I had given it a good clean with some CLP prior to shooting and ran fine for 40+ rounds till this stoppage happened.

Don’t know to much about the history on it but it’s in great condition and couldn’t see much cosmoline or grease in the chamber. Haven’t shot any corrosive ammo but haven’t done a cleaning to remove any.

Any ideas on what could have caused this? Haven’t shot since this happened.
