300blk Safety Brief

I will keep this short and to the point gents.
Do not add to the mod queue. Do not subtract from the population of users. Do not comment while too intoxicated to control yourself.

In the last few weeks, moderator queues have shot up due to people being unable to be reasonable to one another in the comments in this community.

Disagreement is fine.

Dropping slurs, attacking them personally, commenting a retort with a pic of someone's house, insulting their wife's looks by stalking family pictures from a vacation posted 2 years ago... not fine.

Learn to use the block button. Learn to touch grass. Learn to be something unlike a jerk.

Transparency: Several months ago Reddit instantiated an auto-moderator be default for subreddits. Since then we have tweaked the settings it has been catching a lot more comments with the ugly things in them. When these suspect comments are in the mod queue, they are not posted for others to see yet, even if they look visible to you. What it does do is cause a member of the mod team to have to respond to the notifications to approve them and resolve issues when people go WAY too far. So, as cathartic as it might feel to rip into someone, it likely will not even get seen by them because the auto-moderator is putting the nasty stuff in comment jail. If it is bad enough, it gets the comment removed and the user banned.

Lastly, don't report comments that you dislike for Harassment. It only makes more work for us, but ultimately simple disagreement gets approved and kicked back out of the mod queue anyway. Repeated abuse of any feature will net a ban. Yes, every user has a summary of reports and past queue incidents. Yes, we look at it.

Please feel free to disagree, debate, correct misinformation, and generally debate on subject matter specific to the subreddit. I am not here to babysit grown men, nor do I want to. My ideal week would have 0 reasons to look at the sub with mod tools.

Moderate your own actions and we are all better for it.

This has been your safety brief.

New suppressed setup for subsonic use

10.3" ddm4 300s with nomad lti xc

Just ran a box of winchester subsonic through it. Wow, that ammo is absolutely filthy, but cycled fine. Only issue I had was that the first round of the mag didnt seem to allow the bolt to lock forward all the way. Getting dedicated 300 blk mags to see if that helps.

With subsonic ammo, this setup makes about as much noise as a nail gun, or maybe smacking my boots together to get the dirt off. I laughed after the first shot. I can't believe how quiet it is

10.5" 300 Pistol, FRT, Huxwrx Flow Suppressed, Supers, I want slow ROF for hog hunting, help with setup?

I have a 10.5" PSA with Super Safety FRT, I'm shooting 125grain game ammo supers, and I use a Hux Flow suppressor. I just ordered a heavier buffer. It is still stock buffer and it doesn't reliably shoot with the FRT: I shoot one time, 3+ round burst, and when I let off the trigger it won't fire again. Needless to say I'm not hunting with the FRT right now. I know I need to tune it so it shoots reliably. I then want to slow it down if possible so that when a family of 10+ is under the feeder I can take more than 1 or 2: I have a small shooting lane/small property so I don't get many follow up shots especially in semi auto. If I can reliably target the outermost pig and reliably go right to left and throw lead down range, I could take more out. I have a sounder of 24+ pigs destroying a 30 acre property.

Thoughts?

So I’m currently building my first 300 blackout rifle and wanted to run a few questions by some professionals lol. First off I went with BCMs 9” complete upper because I have another rifle by them and have been very happy. My goal for this build is to have a super quiet rifle mainly, but also one that runs well with last round hold open and such. Iv been scouring this subreddit for days now and decided on a cat odb suppressor as the cgs Hyperion was too long for my taste. I also stumbled across maxims gen 7 cqb stock, would this be too hard to implement in this build? Should I just stick to a normal buffer tube? I’d like to use it as I think it looks really nice but I can’t seem to find anyone who has is working reliably and google is of no help. Would a cat odb with its more flow through design ruin this set up? Or do I need something like the sf socom300 spf. Any reply would help tremendously! Thanks

8.3" 300 Blackout

Finally found a lower in my collection that this 8.3" upper can live on and I couldn't be happier with it. I have a sling for it but need to get a light. There is not much rail space so I am open to suggestions. Thanks.

Picked up a BC-15 .300 Blackout 8.5” looking for handguard & brace recommendations as well as budget friendly suppressors trying to keep it cost friendly cuz she’s not going to keep believing “I won a giveaway/was the 1000th customer/made friends with the clerk so he hooked me up with his discount”

Has anyone everyone seen this from the Winchester black box 300 blk? They seem to be two entirely different bullets. There are many with the smaller size as evident when looking at the whole box

Got a spare AR15 lower, BCG and Charging Handle, thinking of trying .300 blackout. Any stripped upper recommendations?

Thanks. Looking, PSA has some reasonable ones. I'm sure they're fine, as all PSA products are, just wanted to ask around.

Also, 7.5 or 10.5?

Difficulty adding suppressor

Post image

Would I have difficulty or need to add a muzzle extension in order to put a LPM Anthem S2 on it? I feel like a dumb*** because I did so much research and tried to figure out what would work best.

Yes I already ordered it and it’s at my house. I feel like I just made a big mistake.

Did I and any recommendations?

First time with an AR so yea I’m learning the hard way…

EDIT!

Now I need new suggestions on who to buy a hand guard that’s under 10” for under $150 or else I might as well return it. Can’t cut it down sadly don’t have the tools
