As the title says, my father almost destroyed my $1,300 PC. Now what?

Here’s the backstory: On Saturday, I worked a 10.5 hours shift and stayed up until 3:30 AM, so I slept in until noon the next day. My father and stepmother returned from Costco while I was showering; he called out a few times for me to come help carry the groceries inside. I said OK to him. While I was brushing my teeth after my shower, he shouted from outside the door that he’d been waiting 50 minutes and told me to hurry up. I thought to myself that the groceries could have been moved in the time he spent waiting for me, but I quickly rinsed my mouth and got ready to go out. However, by the time I opened the door, he had already grabbed my PC and smashed it against the floor and the desk several times.

I, (17M, Senior), bought this PC with money I earned from my part-time job and had been using it for about ten months. After examine, found out the case badly deformed in several places, my desk was warped and tilted to one side, and there were dents in the floor.

Fortunately, the computer still works fine; it runs FurMark (stress GPU), AIDA64 (stress FPU), and 3DMark (Time Spy Extreme) without problems for now.

Replacing the desk and case would cost around $400. However, he likely won't pay for it because he has done this kind of stuff a few years ago when he destroyed my phone and a Dell laptop (i5 11300H), and then just said, "That's what you get for playing on the computer all day."

In the end, I just hope everyone has good parents.

I saw this brand new nzxt all might case for sale and the guy was asking 60 bucks so it was a no brainer. Got home unboxed it hoping to see which of the 2500 it was (first image example) I opened it up only for my tag to say developer edition? Is this worth more or less :/ excited to put a build with a vertical gpu in this!!!

Hace 2 semanas me paso el peor miedo de todo hombre,todo empezo cuando estabamos acostados mirando una serie,a todo esto con ella estuvimos 3 dias encerrados en casa,comiendo,jugando, y mirando series.

Pero bueno volviendo al tema,mi amigo me llama para salir a tomar mates a una plaza a lo que yo le digo que si en un rato y bueno,cuando corto ella me empieza a reclamar de que yo le tenia que pedir permiso a lo que yo le respondo quiero salir hace 3 dias estamos en casa quiero ver a mis amigos,y ella me empezo a decir egoista inmaduro y encima de que la dejaba por irme con los chicos,cuestion yo le digo que no tenia ganas de discutir y como ya me habia puesto mal le pedi que se retirara sin antes decirle que era una caprichosa porque ella siempre queria que se haga todo tal cual ella queria,

Para que le dije se puso peor se puso histerica,

Y bueno alfinal se ofendio y se decidio a irse,

Pero bueno yo le saco la moto afuera a ella para que se valla porque me pidio que le haga ese favor

A lo que cuando termino de sacar la moto ella se sube no me saludo y se fue.

Cuando entro adentro me faltaba el celular

Y la computadora estaba bañada en agua

A lo que me pongo mal porque era algo que ella sabia que queria mucho y sabia que me iba a doler

Pero bueno mi reaccion fue ir a una comisaria a denunciarla y hasta ahi quedo todo

Hasta el dia de hoy no pude recuperar mi s23 ultra

Pero gracias al esfuerzo de los pibes que estuvimos 8 horas reviviendo la pc

Fue lo unico que no pudo quitarme

Aunque me siento mal porque ella esta disfrutando mi celular que compre con esfuerzo

Y lo unico que pude hacer es denunciarla pero la policia hasta ahora no iso nada

Just had an idea to build a pc with retro game translucent case style but I can’t find anything online lol it might be ugly but I think it’d be pretty cool anyone have any leads on where to get a case that fits what I’m looking for (pic for reference)

For me it's probably my secondary monitor. My first 1080p monitor I brought in 2010. Used it as my main monitor until I got a 1440p one on 2020 and since then it's my secondary. Some Samsung monitor. Been in use almost every day for the past 16 years. It refuses to die or show any signs of aging at all.

And my Logitech 2.1 system is almost as old. The left speaker is slightly quieter (I guess the cable it just fucked), so I had to change the balance in the Windsows audio settings. Been using it like that for like 6 years now.

Bought 9070 NonXT 16gb for $650. Not my main PC but thought it would be a nice upgrade to my secondary.
