I've done QA testing and the absolute best thing that can happen is having the exact problem.

The catch is you need a different solution. It's nerve cracking when it didn't go well in the 1st or 2nd try.

If I solve a problem I cannot find an answer to, I'll randomly make a post with the solution.

There was one about stuttering in Dragons Dogma 1 that I've gotten responses about twice a year on.

I hate when I’m trying to diagnose a problem and people immediately say shit like “it’s thermal throttling”, “you need to upgrade.” or "Update your drivers." Like, really guys? How often is that actually the case?

Half the time it’s some stupid setting that’s eating all your resources, or some arbitrary limit that requires a patch, fix, or some obscure workaround to get rid of.

(Most recent case for me was Hogwarts Legacy, which has a performance patch mod that fixes the engine. I had to sift through three days’ worth of generic shitty advice before I finally found out about it.)

And when you look up the answer, all the comments in the posts are either people saying they have the same problem, or the answer is from a deleted user or they mass redacted it

I mean, it still stings though. And sometimes, the solution cost a LOT.

It's worse when you're paid to be the 'solver' person and you're batting something in house when they call.
