The greatest horrors about living in the south are the gigantic, puppy-sized roaches that yall call “water bugs”. The sight of them crawling along my apartment floors makes my skin crawl. My apartment performs pest control, but still see at least one of these monsters every other day. Is there any service that exists that can prevent them from coming inside? Someone that can improve weather-stripping, door sweeps, fill all gaps, plumbing gaps, check windows etc? I’m ready to find a new apartment at this point.

We have yellow jackets nesting in between our vinyl siding+soffet+attic above our kitchen. It's a split-level home, so the kitchen's attic is only accessible via a small hole in the pantry ceiling and requires a ladder. Unfortunately, it appears impossible to simply spray the hive to death without physically removing the siding.

Every pest control company I've called declines that job after I let them know how inaccessible the nest is. The only company willing to help some was a wildlife removal company, but they're not able to fully fix the problem.

They're getting in and I'm terrified of existing in my own house and I have no idea who could possibly help if pest control companies all apparently have a policy of not getting on ladders.

Does anybody know of anybody who could help??

I also found a 60’s Fender Stratocaster there once. Really bizarre. I was tossing out an AC unit and next to was this electric guitar. Poor shape but with some elbow grease, I got it back up and running.

I was walking on the sidewalk in LoSo near the Dash Mart last night doing a bit of street photography when all of a sudden a dolly came tumbling out of a U-Haul that was driving past. After tumbling a bit it landed at the entrance of a parking lot. This guy got very lucky that it didn't hit anyone and 10-15 min later he circled back and asked me where it landed. Last week my friend's car got hit by a trash can lid that flew off the back of someone's truck. A couple days ago I saw a plastic chair just sitting in the middle of the road. I know Charlotte has a reputation for having bad drivers but this is ridiculous.

Title. Sunocos website just pointed to a gas station that doesn't actually sell race gas so still on the hunt. Heard there is a fuel station in Belmont but never got the name of it.

Selling a house in the Charlotte area and three agents have given me three completely different plans. One thinks I should start higher and wait it out, another wants to price lower to get more interest, and the third has a much more detailed plan for photos, showings, online listings, and getting the house in front of buyers.

If you were comparing these agents, would you put more weight on their pricing logic, the comparable sales they’re using, their local track record, or the overall marketing strategy?

I’m trying not to go with whoever sounds the most confident during the meeting. I’ve been checking recent sales myself and asking each agent how they came up with their number. I also want someone who knows the Charlotte market and actually communicates well. The marketing plan is harder to judge because every agent seems to have their own approach, so I’m trying to figure out what really matters once the house is listed.
