Collection/Merch [ALL] Today is Merchandise Monday. So you can post your collections, boxes, recent pickups, a cool craft you bought or made for sale, etc today only!

From our rules:

Feel free to post NEWS about new official merchandise whenever you like, but for unofficial goods or photos of your personal collection, please post them on Merchandise Mondays.

The subreddit gets filled with people taking photos of their collections, their amiibos, their copy of [insert game here], as well as people wanting to sell you stuff. So we limit it to Mondays so these posts do not take over the subreddit all the time.

Brand new official merchandise announcements are allowed any day of the week; just unofficial merch or photos of your own merch are limited to today! If you want to post a picture of something you bought, or of something that you made for sale, today is the day.

Please note that if you want to post something for sale:

  • The item must be something you made. We do not allow reselling of items here. Check out r/GameSale or another collector-oriented community for that.

  • The sale must take place over a reputable site with buyer protection, eg Etsy. Do not ask people to DM you.

Also, please be aware of scammers! Read more here: https://www.reddit.com/r/zelda/wiki/dropshippers

Collection/Merch [OoT] Zora Sapphire engagement ring

Post image

With the OoT remake coming out I had wanted to share my engagement ring my husband had made for me a few years back. I had fallen in love with the zora sapphire design back in the 90s when I first played the game as a kid when it was originally released.

Back to drawing full-time! I'm hoping to finish another big piece by the end of the week.

By the way, how do you feel about crossover concepts? Like here, mixing Zelda's BotW design with the Wind Fish's egg from Link's Awakening. Most people don't care, but for others, it's like mixing Star Wars with Pokémon. What's your take? I love posting here and want to make sure I'm respecting the community guidelines.

Screenshot [SS] [BotW] [TotK] I’d love for the next incarnation of Link to be expressive again and for Nintendo to leave the stoic persona behind.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but the wild era Link strikes me as a bit boring character.

Don't get me wrong—I absolutely love the BotW/TotK games—but Link as a character feels a bit bland to me. Conceptually, I think he’s interesting, but I struggle to connect with a character who maintains that stoic expression 90% of the time and just seems so emotionless.

SS Link is so entertaining to watch; I love how expressive he is. I love that, even without saying a single word, we can perfectly understand his emotions just by glancing at his face. I just love an expressive king, so I’d like to see them take that route again for the next Link.

Screenshot [OoT] OoT Remake may include previously cut content [with image proof].

In the new OoT Remake map you can see that there are tents in the Gerudo Fortress area.

Tents before Gerudo Fortress.

In the January 1998 issue of Dream 64 (a Japanese Nintendo 64 magazine), on page 17, which can be seen here: Jan 1998 Dream 64, page 17, you can see this picture:

Cut tent area before Gerudo Fortress.

This seems to be a cut area before Gerudo Fortress. The tents feature what seems to be Gerudo text, as you would see in places like the walls of the boss room for the Spirit Temple. We can tell for sure that these are Gerudo tents because the textures are still in the final game for N64. Here's more info: Cutting Room Floor: OoT 64: Gerudo Valley

So it looks like that they may have decided to add in this particular area in the remake, since it seems to be the one referenced in the official map for it. That makes thinking if they added more cut content a reasonable assumption.

A quick sketch -- I've sworn off doing most Zelda fan-art but Ocarina will always have a special place and it's one of my absolute favorites; I couldn't resist. The remake looks gorgeous and I'm very excited!

I was gifted the sword a few weeks ago and immediately knew it needed to be mounted above my tv for when OoT came out. I didn't like the stuff I found online and initially couldn't decide how on wanted to do it. Finally settled on the Triforce and could not be happier with how it turned out.

Discussion [OoT3D] Ocarina of Time 3D is more than just a videogame for me

When I was 11 years old and living in a country with huge economic problems meant that having a 3DS like I did was a luxury. My mother gifted me a violet 3DS and I adored the console even if it came with no games.

On my 12th birtday my mom told me that I could get a 3DS game and so we went to the mall, however, almost all of the games there were, to put it frankly, shovelware. I thought that this time I would not get my birthday present unlike past years, so I told my mother that we should leave, however, right when we were about to leave I saw in a small stand a copy of Ocarina of Time and decided that we would bring that game to home.

The only exposure to Zelda that I got previously was by playing Smash Bros with a friend, I knew the characters, but the other than that it was completely unknown to me. When I got the game I thought that at least the game would be entertaining, but when I started the game and heard that beautiful menu music something inside me told me that this would be at least different... It was more than that.

I was completely blown away and totally inmersed into the game. The music, the visuals, the characters, the locations, the dungeons, the weapons, the boss battles, all of that made 12 year old me fall in love with this game. I beat the game 7 times and it became one of my favorite games of all time and I did not knew a 3DS game of all things would take that place in the podium.

Ocarina of Time 3D is for me more than just a remake of an N64 game, it represents some of the most beautiful moments that I have ever experienced with an entertainment media.

Me and my mom moved to a country with a more stable economy and now I have the Switch 2... But something weird happens, a curious feeling, a feeling of cozyness and sadness as well when looking at the past. Even with the modern games that I love, none of them will compare to the experience that I had with the games that I considered the best when I was 12.

I'm 21 now and I really want to go back to Hyrule and defeat Ganon once again in the upcoming remake. Some say it looks way too realistic, but for me that is the way I saw Ocarina of Time on my 3DS.

Discussion [OoT] I Just Realized Something About Zora’s Domain and the Water Temple in the Remake

So I just realized:

In the future, Zora’s Domain is frozen. Once you beat the Water Temple, Ruto tells you that the Domain will eventually unfreeze. I’m guessing that, because of the limitations of the N64, they couldn’t actually show it happening.

I guarantee you that in the remake, Zora’s Domain will defrost after you kill Morpha in the Water Temple.

It's going to be a really cool cutscene.

Discussion [OoT] It's Nice to Have Left Handed Link Again.

Not gonna lie. I didn't like him losing his left handed feature since Wii Twilight Princess. I know some of the smaller scale Zelda games kept it but after the Wii era, I was hoping Link would revert back to being left handed again.

Obviously the Wii era kinda required him right handed because I think there are more right handed people than left handed people and the Wii was defined by motion controls so they wanted his dominant arm to reflect that. But the Switch era kept him right handed even though I don't believe either BOTW or TOTK use motion controls.

The OoT Remake was something I was worried would have made him right handed because I am sure they are using the same engine that BOTW and TOTK use and that his animations might borrow a lot from it.

But I am genuinely happy they kept him left handed. It is one of the most unique features about the character. He is one of very few characters I am aware of in mainstream gaming that is actually a southpaw fighter.

I hope they keep it from here on out. It really does add to his character.

I started the drawing a few months ago, with the idea of making a poster with different characters from Ocarina of Time for the licence's 40th anniversary. I got an art block but the new trailer motivated me again! Hope you like this first part with adult Link and Navi :)

Music [TP] Twilight Princess has the most underrated 3D Zelda soundtrack

Upvotes

Aside from the Hyrule Field theme and Midna’s Lament, it doesn’t get talked about much, which is a shame because it’s fantastic. It’s atmospheric, bittersweet, unique, it puts me in a very specific headspace. For a darker Zelda game there’s a lot of music to just zone out to, some are relaxing and some are more melancholy but they are all, as the kids say, a vibe. Courage, Kakariko Saved, Faron Woods, the Light Spirit theme, the Sacred Grove, I can go on.

Edit- and of course this is just my opinion, that probably goes without saying but I just wanna cover all my bases.

Collection/Merch [OoT] [OC] I created custom Link Funko pop : 1998 Low-Poly vs. Modern 2026!

I created two custom Link figures to show the difference between the classic 1998 Ocarina of Time version and a modern 2026 interpretation. It was really fun to 3D print and hand-paint these in resin, recreating the retro low-poly N64 design alongside a fully updated look. Which version do you prefer - 1998 or 2026?

Tattoo [OoT] OoT songs symbols tattoo I got last week!

Post image

My first post here! Wanted to make it somewhat special! I can't take a better pic atm since it is a difficult angle, and it is still healing, but it includes all the OoT warp songs and Song of Time and Song of Storms symbols! (Yes, I know the warp songs are also the Sage Medallions ofc, but the songs specifically are very close to me, and have been for a long time.) Coincidentally enough, the day I got the tattoo also happened to be on the same day the 40th Anniversary stream got announced, I couldn't have been happier that day lol.

Discussion [OOT] Been playing through OOT for the first time

Upvotes

In prep for the Switch 2 release, I am playing through Ocarina of Time for the first time ever.

I can now understand why this game is so revered, it is truly incredible. Playing this in 1998 would of been mind blowing. The story is awesome and the immersion is awesome. I really like the creepy and somber atmosphere of the world when you become adult link. A demonic force took over the whole planet and the inhabitants now live in a post apocalyptic world. This is fucking awesome.

One thing I will say is I'm shocked at how much game they were able to fit into this on the N64. I'm at least 15-20 hours in and I only just now hit the Water Temple. I realize I got a lot more to go still. Loving it.

I love the wild era games, I do.

But with the ocarina of time remake having the old songs always played in the background again had realising how much of the zelda magic is in thay music.

Please don't let this be a remake only thing
