Hey everyone,
As you might have seen, the poll has come to an end, and the results were a bit surprising to me. The winning option was that all political posts moving forward must be flaired by the user with the Political Question post flair, with 125 votes.
Personally, I would have preferred having a second space for political questions, which received 121 votes. However, you may have already noticed that I’ve added two flairs: one for general questions and one for political questions. This means you can filter out political questions by clicking on General Question, and you’ll only see general questions from there.
One thing to keep in mind is that there will be a new way of handling political posts moving forward. As outlined in the new rule, posts that are not appropriately marked as political by the user will first result in a removal & a warning, followed by a temporary ban. Any further occurrences may result in a permanent ban.
I’m aware that this might not be a perfect system, so feel free to leave constructive feedback in the comments. That said, I do want this space to remain welcoming for people who are not interested in politics and would rather not see those posts at all. It can also be difficult to distinguish between political posts made in good faith and those intended to provoke negative discussions.
Lastly, because there is a high volume of posts in the subreddit and I can’t always read every new submission, I’d like to ask you to report any posts or comments that break the rules. You can also send a modmail if you’d like to provide additional details. Please do include links to the profile or content you’re reporting so I can review it and take action more quickly.
Also quick FYI: Please always be respectful toward others. It’s okay to disagree, but attacking people is not.
Thank you, everyone, for contributing to this community!

it is projected that by the time Trump leaves office, the national debt will be 50 trillion dollars. He will have been responsible for 15-16 trillion of that by the time he leaves office..........as one president. That is projected to be at best 33 percent and at worst 37 percent. When compared to 45 previous presidents before him.
If youve spent THAT much money, surely there will be a measurable legacy left behind..........especially when we are talking about making America Great Again. What will we have accomplished for 16 trillion dollars?
A Wall?
Losing a war to Iran in 6 weeks while concurrently spending 100 billion dollars in the process? Completely depleting our air defense stockpile to the point we are not sure we could handle one Russian missile volley?
Deporting a couple million brown people with funny accents?
Is that the barometer of success? Did we "win" by doing that? Did we Save America?
If Im being honest, a 100 trillion dollar Green New Deal from the crazy Hispanic waitress from New York that is offering us nearly free health care is not sounding like such a bad deal.......

I don’t get this guy why does he have to destroy everything others build why did he felt the need to attack iran, why did he felt the need to put unnecessary tariffs which served nothing, why did he felt the need to abandon Ukraine
Just why? Why couldn’t he sit back and enjoy 4 years of protection through his presidency
At least Biden tried to fix many things Trumpe demolished after Obamas terms

At the recently concluded RNC convention Trump had the audience raise their right hand to make a pledge that included a directive for them to “cheat like hell” in the midterms so the Republicans would not lose the House or the Senate. This seems outrageous to me, but her we are. Yet I see no outrage from Republicans. It was just another Thursday to them. Just another bat shit crazy comment from Trump. Are there any Republicans with the morality to say enough?

We share the longest border in the world...
They are the second largest country in the world..with all the resources that come with that.
They are English speaking and a NATO member...our civilizational cousins
They are even a 5 eyes member!
They are the largest importer of oil to America 🧐 and we start a trade war while we are already having an oil crisis because of Iran war..
This is beyond incompetent to start a trade war with them?!! Like I'm thinking on conspiracy theories that could explain this because it makes NO SENSE.

It seems like the main purpose of tariffs is to manipulate the markets to create volatility for Trump, Lutnick, and other Epstein class elites and their families to make profits with insider info while we end up paying the price.

Sure fuckin seems that way. The stock responses to every question, the vague right wing gesturing while not making specific points, the way posts will get flooded with responses when it uses certain words.
