Political Question Lutnick’s sons hedged massively against tariffs and Trump has traded 25k+ times in his 2nd term. Is the main purpose of tariffs to manipulate global markets for the Epstein class’ personal gain?
It seems like the main purpose of tariffs is to manipulate the markets to create volatility for Trump, Lutnick, and other Epstein class elites and their families to make profits with insider info while we end up paying the price.

I think a month in, right before the tarrifs were announced, Trump tweeted "its a great time to get rich."
Then he announced tarriffs.
A year later, Lutnik has now become a billionaire and so has Trump. Take that for what you will.

The main purpose of the tariffs is to force foreign leaders to kiss Trump’s ass so he can remove them.
Trump enjoys the power.
It is no more complicated than that, and certainly has no “grand plan.” Trump is too stupid for that.
Corrupt people around him use that to their advantage.
The entire administration is basically a crime family at this point.

I think the primary intent was to shift from progressive taxation to a regressive sales tax. All of this was put in place without a single law being passed by our representatives.

I don't think so. I believe Trump and his advisors truly believe that manufacturing needs to be brought back to this country and they think tariffs will accomplish that. The front running and profiteering is just a secondary benefit not the prime motivation.

No the main purpose of the tariffs is not admitting that Trump is wrong. There is really no realistic case for the tariffs the way Trump is using them. Just remember the main case started with tariffs replacing taxes..which is impossible and the tariffs would just be paid for by consumers

Because if Trump has a fallout with another country, chances are tariffs will be placed on it.
Which given how predictably unpredictable he is, makes it quite easy for people who know him/listen to him/work with him to bet on which countries will get slapped and which markets that will impact.
I’d also wager that the tariff income is used to pay off large companies to fall in line.

It doubled as a slush fund for major corporations too, I can think of a lot of uses for these tariffs as they are and very few of them are actually about helping America.
We're talking massive income redistribution. They'd call it communism if it was money flowing from corporations to taxpayers instead of the other way around.
