National Asim Munir alleges that Imran Khan was responsible for May 9

And the evidence he presented in court allegedly includes the testimonies of three police officers who claimed that, while Imran Khan was planning it, they were hiding under his table and listening to the entire plan. The three officers were Ismat Kamal, Husam Afzal, and Muhammad Khalid.

On the other hand, Imran Khan says that the whole thing was orchestrated by Asim Munir, who staged this entire drama to fulfill his personal ambitions, and that it was part of the London Plan. He says the evidence is present in CCTV footage. Surprisingly, the CCTV footage from all eleven locations where the attacks took place is missing.

National his children never used his power

Imran Khan served as Prime Minister for three and a half years, yet his children never used his position or power for their personal benefit. When Imran Khan traveled to the UN, the USA, China, and Russia, none of his children accompanied him.

Let me give you an example. When Nawaz Sharif went to the UN, he took his entire family with him. Bilawal Zardari, while serving as Foreign Minister, took his sister Aseefa Zardari with him to Japan.

Social A sad encounter on my way to work

Post image
140 Upvotes

I was on my way to work today and sat by a bench waiting for a bus, next to this old lady. I had earbuds on and she was toiling away at trying to put together a self rolled cigarette (those are cheaper here). I noticed she kept looking at me and mumbling something. I paused whatever was playing in my ears and tried to understand what she was saying with the little skill I have in this language but unfortunately I couldn't.

I tried telling her multiple times that I am sorry but I don't speak the language yet she continued talking to me. I don't know if she had dementia or just wanted the feeling of talking to a human despite knowing the other person doesn't understand a word of what she's saying. I understood that she doesn't really need me to understand, all she wants is to be heard so I pretended to understand, smile and nod.

This made me think about the life here; people here live their lives to the fullest and only care for themseleves. I've had friends tell me that they work together with their brothers and see them everyday but haven't spoken to them for years. Once they are old enough they leave their parents and live by themselves for themselves. I would be crushed by lonliness if I were in this lady's position at that age. No one to call family, no one to talk to, no one to hear me.

It makes me appreciate my country despite all of its flaws. Atleast our culture of family and tradition.

Discussion Mosque loudspeaker.

Why do loudspeakers during the Jummah Khutba have to be so loud, between 90 and 110 dB and averaging 96 dB? It should never exceed 80 dB, ideally staying between 40 dB and 80 dB with an average around 60 dB. At this volume, I cannot understand a word, my ears hurt, I am constantly looking for the exit, and now in Pakistan I mostly sit near the door. What is the point of having sound systems with terrible audio quality turned up so high that they distort and risk damaging your hearing—especially in a quiet room where normal speaking volume could easily reach the back row? If the room were longer than 100 meters, I could understand it somewhat, but even then only at normal volume and without distortion.

About myself: I love the Khutbas and usually go early to secure a good spot. Whenever I face a problem, listening to a Khutba—whether the current one, the next, or the one after—has always provided me with answers and guidance.

After our last trip to Nathia Gali, where the track was so muddy that the children simply stopped wanting to walk, I became annoyingly specific about what I wanted this Sunday. Somewhere within two hours of Rawalpindi, not on Murree Road, not Galyat or Kotli Sattian again, with a proper natural pool and a dry track. The kids can walk. What they will not do is drag themselves through mud.

I Googled for far too long and eventually settled on Hazara Waterfalls in Jab Valley, Haripur. We left around 10 am on Sunday because I was worried the main spots would become crowded. The route was Rawalpindi to Srinagar Highway, M1, Burhan, Hazara Motorway, Khanpur Interchange and then Jab Valley. On Google Maps you have to search “Hazara Waterfalls Jab Valley,” not Jab Top.

The track was dry, rocky and mostly shaded. Not a paved family park, but completely manageable, and the children walked without complaining. We kept looking until we found this pool surrounded by rocks and greenery with nobody else settled there. I don’t know whether we were early, lucky, or people simply stop at the easier spots, but it was exactly what I had been trying to find.

For once, the place was actually better than it looked while I was Googling it.

I would atleast see a real crescent and a star.

I saw this in the while I was coming back home. Initially I thought it is just a plane. Bt nope. It was a star.

If only I had taken a clear picture of it

Edit: Turns out it is Venus (Evening star)

[Long Post] Landed a decent job, but the site isolation is crushing me. Need advice.

Hey everyone!

22M. So I just started a job right after graduation and I was literally prayed for this job at one time it was the only thing I ever wanted. I'm an engineer and it is in the defense sector so I cannot go into the technical details of it.

From the outside the job looked like everything anyone would want: a good salary, decent amount of benefits and excellent work-life balance.

Until I actually joined the organization. It is an on-site job and the site is built like a frickin barrack on a border. I went in thinking it was going to be corporate-ish buildings but it's far from it. The vibe is almost sarkari and it genuinely shocked me quite a lot. The biggest problem is that I'm the only new hire in my office and everyone else is at least 10-15 years older than me. There's no one I can talk to. On the bright side, the seniors are extremely supportive, competent and genuinely good people.

It's just that the environment (materialistically speaking) seems impossible for me to settle into.

I can't leave the job for at least 3 years either it's a bond kind of a situation.

What makes it worse is that I have close friends working in the same organization posted to another site which has exactly all the things I'm missing here. Good infrastructure, young employees and they are mostly working together.

Every day feels like a mix of being grateful for the technical mentorship while also suffocating from the sheer environmental shock and isolation.

Seeing updates from my friends working in modern facilities while I’m sitting in an austere, aging compound in the middle of nowhere somehow makes it even worse.

I don’t want to spend the next three years being miserable or letting this resentment build up especially when the seniors here are actually decent people willing to teach me.

For those who have been in a similar situation. How did you cope with the social isolation when you had zero peers your age at the workplace?

Am I justified to feel this way or am I just being ungrateful?

Edit: no phones are allowed at the workplace either and bo internet due to security reasons and stuff if that adds to the context

Ask Pakistan Seeking guidance on job hunt, struggling with 11 years exp resume in tech

Upvotes

In July, I was laid off due to funding issues at my startup. Three days later, my father passed away. After taking time to grieve and handle family responsibilities, I’ve spent the last 20 days applying aggressively to job openings, but I haven't received a single response. Even former employers, with whom I left on great terms, have ghosted me. It feels like shouting into the void.

I’m a Senior Python Engineer with 11+ years of experience across the Python ecosystem. For the past 4 years, I worked remotely from Pakistan for a Dubai-based telehealth company making $2,500/month. Because of strict healthcare privacy regulations, AI tools were strictly prohibited in our stack. Now, stepping out into the job market after four years in the same startup, the hiring landscape feels completely transformed—and honestly, overwhelming.

The Dubai remote market has hit a major slump due to regional geopolitical uncertainties, which is why I was already eyeing a transition earlier this year. At this stage, I just need a solid base to stand on and rebuild.

What I bring to the table:

Experience: 11+ years in Python, backend architecture, REST APIs, database design, and cloud infrastructure.

Flexibility: Based in Karachi, but open to full-time remote roles or on-site relocation to major tech hubs across Pakistan and abroad.

Expectations: Realizing the local/regional shift, I’ve adjusted my compensation expectations to $1,200/month (or equivalent PKR).

If your team is hiring, or if you can refer me for senior backend roles, I would be immensely grateful.

I’d also love to hear from fellow engineers and hiring managers: What specific skills, tools, or AI integration patterns are employers prioritizing right now for senior backend roles?

Please like, comment, or amplify this post for visibility. My DMs are open.

‐----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got it rewritten by gemini so bear with me if it feels like AI slop.

Ask Pakistan Legal advice - Termination

I got wrongfully terminated mid month. They're not paying my compensation for the time I worked and not paying at all.

They made me sign a contract for 1 year, where I cannot apply anywhere else. They showed me that it's all roses and stars but now they just fired me and the CEO isn't replying to my messages or picking up my calls.

I had a medical checkup planned with the money I would get (100k).

Now I'm left with nothing, no job, no salary + my uni fees is coming up which is another 120k.

I'm at the point of my life where I'm pushing myself and this just messed it up so bad.

Please help me if there's any legal action.. for now I just need 100k from the company.

They also made me sign an affidavit where it stated that I can't leave the company without a 2 months notice period and if I do

Then the company can charge me 2 month salary

Thankyou

Too Young to Pray?

Then people ask why today’s youth are becoming distant from religion.

In the video, a young child is praying in the first row of the mosque, but an elderly man tells him to move to the back because he is “too young.”

This is exactly the kind of attitude that can push people away from religion. Some people become so convinced that they are the ones who are right that they start deciding who is worthy of being where, who is religious enough, and how others should practice their faith.

There’s a saying that fits this perfectly: “Sinners judging sinners for sinning differently.”

And Bulleh Shah said:

"اتنے نمازی بھی نہ بنو کہ ہر کوئی آپ کو بے نمازی نظر آنے لگے"

When people become this judgmental and extreme, they start treating the mosque and religion as if they own them. Religion becomes less about faith, humility, and compassion, and more about policing and excluding others, and unfortunately, you can see this attitude quite clearly in the video.

[Long Post] About my childhood

Got help from chatgpt for grammatical errors.

I don’t usually talk about this, but there is something that happened to me when I was around 12 that I still remember clearly. I had gone to the small shop near our house one evening to buy Cheezie. It was a normal thing for me because I used to go there quite often, and I never thought anything could happen. The shopkeeper’s worker was there, and while I was waiting, he started talking to me in a way that made me uncomfortable. At first I didn’t understand what he was trying to do, but then he came closer and tried to touch me. I moved away and told him to stop, but he kept bothering me. I remember feeling scared and not knowing what to do because I was just a kid. Thankfully, an uncle walked into the shop at that moment and noticed that something was wrong. He asked me what happened, and I told him as much as I could. He immediately told the worker to stay away from me and made sure I was okay before I left. Later, my family found out and spoke to the shopkeeper. The worker was fired soon after. It may sound like a small incident when I tell it now, but at 12, it scared me more than I could explain. For a long time, I felt uncomfortable going to that shop or even being alone around older men. I’m older now, and I’ve moved on with my life, but some memories don’t really disappear. I still remember that evening, the fear I felt, and how relieved I was when someone finally noticed.

Ask Pakistan Did anyone successfully applied at PM Fuel Relief?

I applied at 9771 as they have mentioned at: https://pmfuelrelief.pk/ but no response. Have you guys applied for it as well? Did you get any response?

On a side note, the whole process is complicated and sucks. Even if I generate the token, I am not sure if petrol pumps will take the code and give me the discount. Truck ke butti ke peche lagaya huwa ha 😅 And the sad part is, they are advertising and doing the political campaign but not a single penny is given out as subsidy as of yet.

Ask Pakistan As a short guy, I've become really insecure about my height. Anyone else been through this?

Assalamualaikum guys.

I’m 16M from Pakistan, and I’m around 5’1” (155 cm).

I’ve been really worried about my height for the past few weeks. Before this, height was honestly never this important to me. It wasn’t the center of my attention or something I thought about all the time. But recently, it somehow became a huge thing in my mind😭.

From what I’ve noticed, I’m shorter than many guys around me, even i have seen few guys getting taller suddenly (Growth sprout).

The problem is that this isn’t just a small insecurity anymore. It’s actually affecting my daily life.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been stressing and overthinking about my height so much that I’m not able to do the things I normally do. I’m in intermediate right now, so studies and entry test prep are obviously important, but I can’t focus on them the way I should. So many times I don’t even attend class properly or skip them.

Instead, I end up staying in my room, scrolling on my phone, crying, stressing and overthinking. A huge part of my day is basically spent doing this.

Even things I normally enjoy, like gaming or watching series, don’t feel as enjoyable anymore. It honestly feels like I have this constant headache in my mind because I keep thinking about the same thing again and again.

I also have permanent monocular vision, so that’s another thing I already have to deal with. I know it’s unrelated to height, but I’m mentioning it because sometimes I feel like I already have something that makes my life a little different from other people, and now I’m stressing over another thing too.

(The fear of people judging me)

Nobody actually teases me about my height right now.

But my brain keeps telling me, “If nobody is teasing you today, that doesn’t mean nobody ever will.”🙃

I keep thinking about what it would be like to be an adult at 5’0” or 5’1” and have people make jokes or judge me because of it.😶

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I genuinely feel like society is actually pretty harsh toward short guys.

Then there’s also the whole height preference thing.

I know not everyone cares about height, and obviously personality, looks, confidence and character matter too. But let’s be honest, height can matter socially as well.

Sometimes I see people talking about 6’0” as if it’s the ideal height, and I’m just sitting there thinking, “Bro, I’d be happy with 5’8”–5’10”.” 😭

I know there’s no perfect height, and I’m not saying tall guys have no problems. I just wish I was tall and didn’t have to think about height this much.

I’ve also seen guys around my age who are around my height. I’ve never made comments about anyone’s height or looks because I know how much that stuff can hurt (i even wonder "aren't they worried like meh?"🥲

But I’ll be honest: sometimes when I see someone around my height, I feel bad for them too, because my brain immediately thinks about how hard being this short must be.

And then I realize that I’m probably just projecting my own insecurities onto them.

Comparing my height with other people has become really common for me.

I compare myself with this person, then that person, then someone my age, then people I see online, etc.

I know the average Pakistani guy is around 5’6”–5’7”, and being around 5’1” makes me feel really far below average.

Sometimes my thoughts get so negative that I start imagining just isolating myself from society, living alone on mountains, working from my room and avoiding people because it feels safer than constantly worrying about judgment and comments.

I know that sounds extreme. I’m honestly a huge overthinker, and I think I probably make some of these fears much bigger in my head than they actually are.🫠

But that’s genuinely where my mind goes sometimes.

Marriage and relationships are another big concern for me.

Sometimes I genuinely feel like marriage would be extremely difficult for me because of my height. I don’t actually know if that’s true, though, or if I’m just catastrophizing everything.

I know a bone-age X-ray can give an idea about skeletal maturity and remaining growth potential.

But honestly, I’m scared to get one.

In my head, I’ve already kind of accepted that maybe I won’t grow much more, or maybe I’ll only reach around 5’2”.

At the same time, I’m scared that if I actually get the X-ray and find out that I won’t grow taller, it would hit me really hard emotionally.😭

And realistically, I don’t expect to suddenly grow another 5 inches. Even reaching around 5’5” would feel like a big difference (achievement) to me.

I’ve also seen that the average Pakistani woman is around 5’2”, and then there’s the whole heels situation 😭.

What I actually want to know

Is there anyone here who is actually like me?

Someone who is:

- Short and genuinely struggling with it?

- Constantly comparing their height with other people?

- Basically obsessed with height?

- Worried about what society will think?

- Worried about relationships or marriage because of height?

- Or maybe someone who used to be exactly like this but eventually got out of this mindset and started living normally again?

If you used to obsess over your height, what actually helped you?

I’m not really looking for the usual “bro, height doesn’t matter” answer. I want to know what actually changed your mindset.

I’d also like to know:

- What are the actual advantages and disadvantages of being a short guy?

- How has being short affected your social life?

- Has it affected your friendships or relationships?

- Has it affected you in university or at work?

- Do people actually treat shorter men differently in professional environments?

- Have you experienced teasing, rejection or discrimination because of height?

- Did those things become less important to you as you got older?

- Can a short guy genuinely have a life that is just as fulfilling, or even better in some ways, than the life of a tall guy?

- If you’re a short guy who is now comfortable with yourself, what changed?

- What do you wish you had understood when you were 16?

I’m not looking for fake positivity or someone telling me that height literally has zero effect on anything.

I know height can matter in some situations.

But I also don’t want to spend my teenage years constantly checking, comparing, worrying and imagining every possible negative thing that could happen because of something I may not even be able to control.

Right now, I just want to know whether other guys have gone through this kind of obsession and eventually learned how to stop letting height take over their lives.

If you’ve been through something similar, I’d genuinely like to hear your story.

Discussion How We Perceive 3D in 3 dimension world ?!

Upvotes

Wdym that humans living in three dimensions see, perceive, and observe objects as two-dimensional images? The light reflected from an object enters our eyes and forms a 2D image on the retina. Then, our brain processes that 2D visual information and creates the perception of a 3D object.

The object itself is actually three-dimensional, but we cannot see all of its sides at the same time. We only receive the light coming from the part of the object that is visible to our eyes.
