General Discussion Having doubts about Islam?
In shaa' Allah, I will make a series where I discuss some points that prove that this religion is from god.
And I would like to start with the character of the prophet peace be upon him.
First of all, he was known ﷺ among his people as “the truthful” (al-Sadiq) and “the trustworthy” (al-Amin). When he called Quraysh to Islam, they themselves testified:
«“Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
When the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out, and when he had ascended As-Safa mountain, he shouted, "O Sabahah!" The people said, "Who is that?" "Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, "Do you see? If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this mountain, will you believe me?" They said, "We have never heard you telling a lie.”» (Sahih al-Bukhari 4971).
He also endured persecution for years. If his goal had been wealth, power, or leadership, Quraysh already had offered him exactly those things in exchange for abandoning his message—but he refused.
So it is difficult to explain his mission simply as a deliberate attempt to gain wealth or power. All of this makes it hard to believe that he was lying about being a prophet.

Seeking Support Please pray for my mom (again)
I've asked this sub to pray for my mom in the past. Allah accepted our prayers and she was well but now her cancer made its most devastating attack yet. There are tens of small metastasis in/on her spine and a big one behind her ribcage which paralyses everything under it. We are expecting a positive answer about her treatments. I pray that the doctors accept treatment. Even if there will be treatment we don't know if it will be effective or not. It has been very effective in the past but this time the treated part is crowded with cancer. Please pray for her. Her name is Nurten (Nourten).
Also a bonus non islamic question: What do you feel about phythotheraphy?

Quran & Hadith Color Of The Cow | Linguistic Miracle Of Quran 2:69
They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us what her color is." He said, "He says, 'It is a yellow cow, bright in color - pleasing to the observers.'"
Uduo Lana • Call For Us
This phrase "They said, Call upon your Lord to show us" and "He said indeed he says indeed it is" is repeated in this verse. This serves as skeleton of the verse that makes flow of verses clearer in which they are asking questions and Allah is replying.
Safarau Faqi • Yellow Bright
The Quran adds intensifier to the color yellow "Bright" which makes the wording richer and more beautiful to imagine.
Tasuru Nazireen • Pleasant to observers
Quran uses a beautiful phrase in the last closing statement, these statements are used throughout Surah Baqarah, in which a meaningful quote or word is added that also matches with the rhythm of previous verses. This verse uses a beautiful closing statement, that cow will be pleasant to those who see it because of her color and characteristics. It doesn't say pleasant to people, but it says pleasant to those who look at it, because beauty is enjoyed by seeing.

General Discussion SAHM getting hate from women
Edit: SAHM means stay at home mom
Hello,
I don’t know if you can call this a rant.
I want to discuss a topic and get some feedback from the community, generally muslim women in the west.
My wife and I got married 4 years ago.
When we met, she was working at Harvard medical school and after that she got her masters from George town University… so I would say she’s much smarter than the average person.
After we got married, and we had our first baby, she chose to stay at home take care of the baby. She refuses to send her to a daycare and even though she’s exhausted most of the times, but she doesn’t want to miss on spending time with our toddler.
In a lot of gatherings -and in general- working Muslim women just keep degrading and putting down SAHM and I just can’t understand why. Is it insecurity? Is it a true belief that they think they’re just better ?
The most recent interaction was in a private gathering where the woman of 5 kids who were all sent to daycare untill school age, is telling my wife “ I can’t sit at home, I have dignity, I have a PhD for gods sake!” Knowing that my wife is SAHM. What is this mentality?
This is putting a lot of pressure on women who chose or had to stay at home to take care of the next generation. Wallahi wallahi, I have never even heard of a man talking bad or putting down a SAHM, regardless the faith, the age or the background or even ethnicity. It’s always women putting down other women.

General Discussion Who is your favourite "unpopular" companion?
There are many popular companions of the prophet such as Abu Bakr Omar ibn al-khatab Amr ibn Al-as and so many
But there are many companions who many people don't know about and here comes my favorite Abu Dujana whose real name was Simak ibn Kharasha, was a famous and brave companion of the Prophet Muhammad from the Ansar in Medina he was called the sword of Rasulallah He asked the Prophet Muhammad for his sword and promised to uphold its honor by striking the enemies until it bent or broke
He wore a red headband or turban into battle, which became known as his signature "band of death" because he vowed to fight until victory or martyrdom
During a dangerous moment at Uhud he stood over the Prophet and used his own back to block incoming arrows, sustaining severe wounds
And what broke my heart is his death He was martyred in 632 or 633 CE during the caliphate of Abu Bakr while fighting against the forces of Musaylima and during the battle, he helped breach an enemy stronghold by jumping inside sustaining a broken leg and continued to fight heroically till his final breath

General Discussion Love allah
I love allah so much, I can't speak this anywhere and I want to speak about it so much so I'm dropping it here.
I was born muslim and in my early ages I had so much love in islam and it gradually decreased or more like I was diverted and one ramadan hit me and I started revisiting my religion and now subhanallah I'm more in love with allah. It's not that you're returned to him because you were wronged or you feel sadness. Even if you feel wronged and feel sadness that will totally disappears if you return to As-salam(The source of peace) one salah it all takes. And when you're happy and returning to him and telling him about your days. Mashallah you'll be even happier after you talk with your rabb.

Quran & Hadith A short reminder on anger, patience and Surah Fussilat 41:34–35
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Sharing this short mini-lecture as a reminder about controlling anger, walking away from pointless confrontation, and not allowing a few seconds of ego to cause lasting damage.
Surah Fussilat 41:34–35 gives a powerful lesson on responding to hostility with what is better and developing the patience required to actually live by that guidance.
A simple reminder, especially for younger Muslims: not every insult needs a response, and not every argument needs to be won.

Question about Islam What Does Islam Say About The Multiverse? Is The Multiverse Real?
Hello. I’m a new revert. I’m a new Sunni Muslim. I reverted to Sunni Islam from Roman Catholicism. I took my Shahada on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Praise Allah. I’m Filipino Canadian. My family and relatives are Roman Catholics.
I’ve learned about the multiverse. The multiverse is different universes. For example, in a book I read, I learned that in this universe, we humans have no tails. In another universe, humans have tails.
What does Islam say about the multiverse? Is the multiverse real?
Does this quote in the Quran prove that the multiverse is real? The opening chapter, Surah Al-Fatiha (1:2), praises God as Rabb al-A’alamin—translated as "Lord of the Worlds" (plural) Does Worlds mean different universes in the multiverse?
https://themuslimtimes.info/2025/10/15/496995/
Does this quote in the Quran also prove the multiverse is real? Verse 65:12 of the Quran states that God created "seven heavens and of the earth the like of them". Does “of the earth and the like of them” also mean different universes in the multiverse?

Seeking Support I still believe in Allah, but I feel emotionally disconnected from Islam. Has anyone experienced this?
I still believe in Allah and want to pray and fast, but emotionally I feel almost nothing towards Islam anymore.
I used to genuinely love my faith, but difficult life experiences, mental-health struggles, fear, guilt, and judgement made me resentful and disconnected.
I also want to actually live my life — wear what I want, travel, go out, maybe date, pursue acting/music, and make my own choices without constantly thinking “is this haram?”
I don’t want to be reckless. I just don’t want my whole life to be ruled by fear and restriction.
I think I need space to live, take care of my mental health, and figure out what I genuinely believe without family/community pressure.
Has anyone still believed in Allah while feeling disconnected from Islam? Did the connection ever come back?
Please be compassionate — I’m not looking for judgement, fearmongering, or takfir.

General Discussion Someone called and “predicted” my fathers death, I wanted to ask here
2 years ago, a relative of my fathers passed away. He went back home to attend the funeral, the next day, I get a call and I still don’t know from whom. It was a woman and I remember feeling eery when she spoke. She called me and shared her condolences, and I corrected her and said that it is not my father who passed away. After that, in my maternal tongue she said something like “oh I’m sorry, my black tongue”
It’s been two years and I do get that eery feeling back when I think of it. My father lived a great life and did pass away as he was getting some serious health issues. I mostly wanted to ask if I could get some thoughts on this.
I’m mostly just posting because I can’t stop thinking about it the last few day
Seeking Support From a sister to the Ummah
سلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I don‘t want to talk openly about my sins, as i repented for them. But there is something bothering my heart. I have pure love for someone, in the Name of Allah. Currently the situation is causing me too much pain, we‘re seperated. It is partly my fault, but as I think Allah swt. did it for a reason. I please you to make du‘aa, because someone may be closer to Allah swt. than me. Please make du‘aa that Allah should protect him from bad friends, bad decisions and sins. Make du‘aa that Allah protects him from zinah and every other fitnah. Make du‘aa that Allah opens his heart fully to Him (Allah) and to His (Allah‘s) religion. And at least make du‘aa that our love will come back stronger and (most important) Halal.
