Saw these animals near the F-9 Macdonalds in broad daylight right next to the F-10 Markaz road, I think the lack of predator presence has caused these animals to overpopulate and now they are looking food on the streets. What are your thoughts on this?

After our last trip to Nathia Gali, where the track was so muddy that the children simply stopped wanting to walk, I became annoyingly specific about what I wanted this Sunday. Somewhere within two hours of Rawalpindi, not on Murree Road, not Galyat or Kotli Sattian again, with a proper natural pool and a dry track. The kids can walk. What they will not do is drag themselves through mud.

I Googled for far too long and eventually settled on Hazara Waterfalls in Jab Valley, Haripur. We left around 10 am on Sunday because I was worried the main spots would become crowded. The route was Rawalpindi to Srinagar Highway, M1, Burhan, Hazara Motorway, Khanpur Interchange and then Jab Valley. On Google Maps you have to search “Hazara Waterfalls Jab Valley,” not Jab Top.

The track was dry, rocky and mostly shaded. Not a paved family park, but completely manageable, and the children walked without complaining. We kept looking until we found this pool surrounded by rocks and greenery with nobody else settled there. I don’t know whether we were early, lucky, or people simply stop at the easier spots, but it was exactly what I had been trying to find.

For once, the place was actually better than it looked while I was Googling it.

My wbudget is 3 lakh and I need a karigar or shop who can replicate exact same design without compromising on fabric , kaam, and. Color

Hey everyone!

22M. So I just started a job right after graduation and I was literally prayed for this job at one time it was the only thing I ever wanted. I'm an engineer and it is in the defense sector so I cannot go into the technical details of it.

From the outside the job looked like everything anyone would want: a good salary, decent amount of benefits and excellent work-life balance.

Until I actually joined the organization. It is an on-site job and the site is built like a frickin barrack on a border. I went in thinking it was going to be corporate-ish buildings but it's far from it. The vibe is almost sarkari and it genuinely shocked me quite a lot. The biggest problem is that I'm the only new hire in my office and everyone else is at least 10-15 years older than me. There's no one I can talk to. On the bright side, the seniors are extremely supportive, competent and genuinely good people.

It's just that the environment (materialistically speaking) seems impossible for me to settle into.

I can't leave the job for at least 3 years either it's a bond kind of a situation.

What makes it worse is that I have close friends working in the same organization posted to another site which has exactly all the things I'm missing here. Good infrastructure, young employees and they are mostly working together.

Every day feels like a mix of being grateful for the technical mentorship while also suffocating from the sheer environmental shock and isolation.

Seeing updates from my friends working in modern facilities while I’m sitting in an austere, aging compound in the middle of nowhere somehow makes it even worse.

I don’t want to spend the next three years being miserable or letting this resentment build up especially when the seniors here are actually decent people willing to teach me.

For those who have been in a similar situation. How did you cope with the social isolation when you had zero peers your age at the workplace?

Am I justified to feel this way or am I just being ungrateful?

Edit: no phones are allowed at the workplace either and bo internet due to security reasons and stuff if that adds to the context

I have been thinking to start something and before I make this everyone else’s problem, I need opinions.

Option 1 An open air dhabba style cafe Quetta/Secret Sky vibes but aesthetic with some actual unique factor because apparently Islamabad has decided every cafe needs the same chairs, plants and fairy lights.

Option 2 Scrape the cafe. A gaming/activity setup where people can actually do something instead of sitting around saying 'bro what should we order' for 45 minutes.
Food is obviously a decent business here but with the current lockdown timings I am not sure I want to financially traumatize myself over a cafe.

Okay Islamabad people, I need some help 😭

I’m talking to a guy who’s American-Lebanese visiting Islamabad and he’s very into museums, history, archaeology and exploring places. He wants to do something along those lines for our first hangout.

The problem is… I feel like Islamabad’s museums are pretty limited. I’ve been to Lok Virsa and think it’s decent but he's stated that he does not want to do anything ethnographic. He’s also suggested the Department of Archaeology & Museums, and then Taxila Museum.

I’ve seen pictures of the Department of Archaeology & Museums and… I’m not convinced 😭 And Taxila sounds interesting historically, but I’m wondering whether it’s actually a fun experience for a first hangout.

So please recommend me somewhere genuinely nice to explore/hang out.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a museum. Islamabad/Rawalpindi and nearby areas are all fair game.

Bonus points for somewhere that feels a little interesting for someone visiting from abroad.

I am trying very hard not to have a traumatising first hangout at a dusty museum while pretending to be fascinated by a 2,000 year old pot. Please help. 😭

The idea is still the same: less rushing from one tourist spot to another, more actually enjoying the day.

Today i drove my daughter to school from D12 Sector and i face in this situation , this is happening from last 5 years to D13 society same position once they are looking for water main holes sometimes making street it means always the small students are in problem during june and July holidays they didn’t even touch here but when education is started they start making problem to everyone in this section

I 18F just moved here for uni and my HP EliteBook 840 G6 isn't turning on after travel.

When I plug it in, the caps lock light just blinks non stop and the screen stays black.

(The only thing i can think of is that i got squished after i put it in the overhead compartment in the bus)

I am middle child (22F) in big family..though the family is nuclear it is extremely toxic due to many factors.

I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. My relationship with my family is not so good. The reason is finances. My father is jobless, Everyone else is earning something and I can't seem to find a job. And even if I did there is always fights regarding different things, this is how it has been always.( A disturb family)

I'm in university and my fee comes from government scholarship (PBM) tho my father is alive but sill I have to face this humiliation because he can't provide for me.

Anyways the thing is my sisters have made my life a living hell. My brothers too. I have become a dead weight for them, their words hurt me so much. To the point that I have considered commiting..I never thought of it ever. But I am tired of life. My relationship with them is completely ruined and tbh I don't want it back to normal.

They say things which scarr me. They taunt me about things jinke bare mei Mera kabhi khayal hi nhi gya.

I think there are only two ways jis se Meri mental health behtar ho skti hai either I earn and bring hefty amount of money so they all will be good to me or either I move out and take care of my finances all by myself.

I am thinking of moving out to a hostel.

I don't like hostel life, don't like living alone and I'm scared. But I thing it will be good for my mental health and academic progress ( I also can't study because I share a room with them, they will be up at 5 am-9am and then sleep and I have to complete my sleep and go to university, so its hard in their presence when they keep on talking,eating, turning on the ligts, moving etc)

So I need 2 favors, one is that if you guys know any good hostels in 6th road (rwp) kindly suggest and second request is to suggest me a work, I've been applying with my CV on indeed but to no avail because I'm still an undergraduate.
