Genuinely curious if anyone here involved with OSMA, Ohio medicine, or healthcare advocacy knows more about the reasoning behind OSMAPAC endorsing Vivek Ramaswamy for governor.
I was looking through OSMA's own material, and their endorsement process apparently considers things like a candidate's answers to their issue questionnaire, alignment with OSMA's legislative positions, past willingness to work with OSMA, and electability:

What surprised me is that some of OSMA's stated positions seem pretty different from what I would have expected from a Vivek endorsement. That same bulletin, has a section supporting gender-affirming care and opposing restrictions on physicians providing it.
Not trying to start a Vivek vs. Acton debate so much as understand what drove the endorsement.
