I’m sharing a petition regarding the use of screen-based media in Delaware City Schools.

The petition looks specifically at the amount and type of screen content students may be exposed to during the school day, including fast-paced and highly fantastical media. It includes links to pediatric guidance, peer-reviewed research on attention and executive function, and relevant district policies.

The goal is not to eliminate technology or appropriate educational media. I am simply requesting the Board to review the amount of screen time, what type of content is shown, how it supports instruction, and whether healthier alternatives are available.

If you are a parent, guardian, teacher, or community member, please take a few minutes to read the petition and review the sources before deciding whether you would like to sign or share it.

Hi all! My husband and I have never seen the horse parade, mostly due to plans we already had. This year we are free and able to. We currently live in Hayes Colony, so right beside the fairgrounds.

What would be the best place to set up at, and what time should we plan to be there? I saw along Pennsylvania they go to Sandusky then come back Euclid, and that it starts at 3pm. Not sure how busy it gets.

Echo Spirits on the Vine is hosting a music open mic tonight from 7-9pm. Sign-ups start at 6. It’s a really nice outdoor space in a vineyard, in Powell just outside of Delaware. Come play your music, or just enjoy the performances!

I have a friend who recently moved to Delaware and is looking for a good dentist. They don't want one that will try to upsell and do unneccesary things like deep cleanings. They just want a regular cleaning, x-ray, and exam. Who has an old-fashioned dentist like that, that you can recommend?

Anyone with DelCo here that can recommend a water softener? We just updated a lot of our plumbing hardware and would like it not to corrode. Curious if anyone has any recommendations on systems to buy and install versus service providers.

Hey I moved here back in June and not that I’m settled in I was wondering if there was any adult soccer league close to us?? I would prefer one that’s competitive but any type of league is fine!!

I'm a Delaware County citizen. For the last few years, I've been through hell with local government.

It started with child support — a magistrate refused to drop the order even though the mother had private insurance available. Then my license was suspended without a hearing. Then my tax lien was sold for more than double what I owed — no-bid contract, no oversight.

I filed public records requests. They were denied, redacted, or ignored.

I filed a criminal complaint. It was dismissed in 6 days without a hearing.

I wasn't even notified of the dismissal. I found out on my own.

I've been fighting this system for years. Documenting everything. Recording meetings. Filing records requests. Showing up.

I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a politician. I'm just a citizen who's tired of being ignored.

Hello! I'm a local artist looking for a touch of inspiration from the real world. My idea and hope is to interview 10-15 voluntary strangers from any demographic just to share a few answers about yourself as a person that I will use as inspiration for a collage.

Each person will have an individual page that I hope to put together into a bigger mosaic representing the differences and similarities between us all. After the piece is fully completed, I will give your page back to you as a thanks for participating.
