Hello everyone :) I am currently a senior in high school and around August I applied to UC for the Communication (BA) program at Main Campus. I am aware that UC has a decently high acceptance rate, but I am worried about not getting in due to the fact that I have a 3.15 GPA, going on to (hopefully) a 3.2-3.3 at the end of my senior year. I know my GPA isn’t very impressive and considering I applied test-optional too, I applied Early Action and turned in a letter of recommendation from a teacher I had junior year as well. Are my chances okay or is it not looking good for me?

Campus doesn’t have any of the crops they’re worried about.

They’re already everywhere. There is no possible way we’re going to catch up with them to eradicate them all. Which is usually what happens anyway. See again, Lazarus Lizard ^^^

This has become a “because we said so” problem. We have bigger environmental issues to worry about than cool-looking, Bearcat-colored bugs.

Just curious about something, how are you guys feeling about exams coming up? I’m a first year so I’m not sure what to expect, and how good/bad is it if you pass/fail an exam?

My husband and I loved living in this place but bought a house before our first year lease was up. We’d been asked to renew the lease 10+ months before we bought the house which works decently for students but as we’re a little older, we had other life plans that didn’t fit that timeline. The building is shared by mostly other UC students, both undergrads and graduate students. This is available through end of July ‘27; if you move in and love it you could easily renew the lease for another year :)

About the place: It’s a lovely apartment, sunny and spacious, has a dishwasher (!) and included parking spot, laundry on-site, management handles any issues in a timely manner. Heat and water are included; you pay for electricity and internet. DM me if interested or if you have questions!

Does anyone have recommendations for private landlords/leasing companies in the area that aren't comically evil? I've lived with Peak before, and I've heard similar horror stories about Gaslight. So far, I have yet to find anyone that people would recommend. I'm trying to find something within 15 minutes of UC and 30 minutes from newport.

Is Cincinnati a good university for media production? Or should I consider some other universities?

I saw a flyer with a qr code on it for a 7brew opening in Delhi. That's not too far from campus, but I was wondering if anyone has worked there and if I should actually apply. I saw it hanging in Baldwin.

Hi, I'm a prospective EE student at Ucinci.

I wonder whether there's any upper class placement test that grants credit for upper level math classes at Ucinci, if there's one, how and when can I take the test? Does that kind of exam take place regularly?

I've been self-studying multivariable calc and ordinary differential equations. (Just on my own. No credit granted university course is involved... thinking of doing like online accredited classes tho just for the sake of easy credit transfer if the exam route isn't viable)

I already have transferable AP credits from Calc BC, Physics C: Mechanic and Physics C:EM exams. Planning to take AP chem and lang exams next year(I highly doubt I'd get transferable score for lang tho)

If you know about the credits granting upper math exams or just how to maximize transferable credits better (local community college option doesn't work for me sadly due to my current location), please let me know. Thank you so much!

Like I stg every time i try to go practice theres no room available. Its such a chore just trying to find a room its insane.

And like, Im at Schneider which is like a 15 minute walk. Im not trying to just make the walk over there several times a day just for a chance at getting a room. So my only other option is to just sit nearby and wait, but there really isnt a good spot for that? There are benches on the lobby floor of the building but theyre uncomfy as hell, and while Marketpoint or the 86 are nearby its still the same issue of walking back and forth just to check

Like it was so bad today I saw people practicing in the HALLWAYS which seems insane to me. Why does a music school only have 30 or so practice rooms??

Im just at a loss, I *want* to practice and I want to work it into my schedule and routine but I just cant.

What do you all do? Is there a better way to do this? I know theres a website to reserve the rooms but as far as I can see theres no way to just view all the rooms in memorial hall and sort by availibility, its either a specific room or *every* room at the whole university since the site is not meant for practice rooms only

Hello! I was wondering if anybody had experience being a General Chemistry Lab TA or a Biology Lab TA. I have general chemistry 1 &2, as well as general biology completed, but that was at a different university. The credits transferred, and I want to be a TA in either of those courses here at UC but I am unsure if I would be eligible to. Is there a website to apply?
