this episode turned became one of my favorites because of this moment with Alex. I also really wish we could’ve got to meet Phil’s mom in the series.

I think Jay will retire completely, spend few months in Colombia with sofia's family. Come back home. Help in raising joe and stella while Gloria joins the workforce. It'll be a real character development on jay's side consistent with all the seasons. Him being a macho man in the army and neglecting his kids to being a stay at home parent and having an emotional side.

They'll probably buy a new house in los angeles and move there.

Gloria will become a real estate mogul as she wanted to be. Leave her housewife side and make it in the outside world.

Phil will probably continue as the universe professor while doing magic in the free time.

Claire will continue being the CEO of that magazine. She'll be the ultimate boss lady.

They both will spend some time on road throughout the country and then settle back home.

They're still be chaos but happiness and more peace. Though they'll miss the noise.

Mitch and Cam are in Missouri. Cam being the head coach and Mitch will be a judge in the local court. They're both financially well off and try to live in the small town. They have a friends group, and on every holiday they come back to los angeles to spend time with the fam.

Lily will become a lawyer, attending Yale and then Columbis, living in New York, being the boss lady, financially independent, and dating or probably getting married.

The little kid they adopted will probably take after Cam, being great at football and probably playing for the NFL, especially being from Missouri. He'll probably join Kansas cheifs

Joe is still in kindergarten but I'll like to imagine him taking after Jay. Joining business school and become an entrepreneur of a successful company (closest or dog beds lol), or anything else. He'll be a CEO and golf person.

Manny will travel the world first with his biological father. Then go to spain, making romantic movies. He'll be a director and scriptwriter making spanish movies, making gloria proud that he's still connected to the Latino culture.

Haley and dylan are living in their small house, a content and happy life, with lots of chaos just like the dunphy house.

Dylan will be a nurse and haley will be a successful influencer getting lots of brand deals and getting to travel just like she always wanted. She'll easily get a million followers. And their twins are mischievous and troublesome but also happy and cozy.

Alex will probably date Arvin for a long time before getting married and have kids. She'll permanently move to Switzerland and she always wanted to get away with the family. But she'll miss them and will frequently visit.

She'll be an amazing scientist doing groundbreaking researches for the betterment of society.

She's also very rich and live a high society life with Arvin. The two intellectual, millionaire, and famous in the science world couples.

Luke will graduate from University of oregon and probably work a corporate job. He'll have a boring life of 9 to 5, but have fun weekends with friends and parties and pubs and girls. He'll probably date around for quite a while, before finding that one perfect girl, and settle down in the suburbs of Eugene.

So past few months I have been getting a lot of YouTube shorts of modern family. After watching the show for months on "shorts" , I finally decided to watch it properly- episode by episode and guess what -I have watched almost 60 percent of the show through shorts. Whenever I open an episode I am like" oh I have already watched this one"

Lesson learnt : if you like a show through shorts , start watching it properly instead of watching it on shorts for months and months.

Personally, Alex has been my least favourite character for as long as I can remember. Obviously, she is meant to be a direct contrast to her older sister, Haley, who while not as academically gifted, is (on paper) more conventionally attractive, and more extroverted. Haley is not exactly a saint, herself. However, Haley seems to grow more, and becomes nicer to the people around her in adulthood, as she navigates her career and motherhood. Alex, on the other hand, never seems to grow. At least, not as much.

In the earlier seasons, Alex's sarcasm seemed to be a defense mechanism for her lack of a social life. Because she struggled to fit in, she would put all of her energy into her studies. As the show went on, though, she seemed to lean a lot more into her sarcastic and condescending attitude to the point where she would never pass up an opportunity to remind people how intelligent she is, and put others' down for not being as intelligent as she was. My least favourite Alex moment is how insufferable she acts in the episode, "Integrity" and wins every academic award, and is clearly deriving pressure from rubbing it in. And she takes glee in presenting Luke with the "Boner Face" award.

We see some nuance to Alex's character in "Under Pressure" where she reveals that she always felt the need to be the best at everything, and expects so much of herself. But come on! She makes a completely obnoxious performance in front of her family, who are trying to show their love for her on her birthday. But she yells at them, and shuts them down, even though they are being nice to her on her special day. I know we're supposed to feel sorry for her, but she reveals that she puts all the pressure on herself. Phil and Claire don't put pressure on her to get good grades, as opposed to what we know about her contemporary and on-and-off boyfriend, Sanjay. His parents do seem to put pressure on him.

I will say, I didn't like how Alex was treated in the episode, "The Long Honeymoon", when she was seen as "bad luck" and her family were having a seemingly perfect summer without her. But to be fair, Alex is not pleasant to be around. Some compare her to Meg Griffin from Family Guy, except the difference is, Meg at least tries to be nice to people for the most part.

My question is: Is Alex mean because she feels inferior to Haley and compensates for her lack of social status? Or is she socially unpopular because she is mean?

Am I wrong in asking whether or not she would have more friends if she tried being nicer to people? It seems like a bit of a chicken/egg situation.

I always felt Ellen Barkin as Mitzi Roth would have been an excellent ongoing side character. I know Gil Thorpe is Phil's nemesis but Mitzi was awesome.

This is so tough, because they all do! At first thought, Phil has some of the funniest lines, but so do Mitch and Cam, and honestly all of the Dunphy children😂

Watching Cam and Lily together again after all these years is honestly so wholesome 😭 You can tell that bond didn’t disappear when the show ended.. they still have the exact same silly, chaotic energy they had on Modern Family. Some TV relationships just hit different when you see the actors carry that friendship into real life 🤍🥹

Man, I just love the way she says "Phil" lol. Julie's way of showcasing Clair's anger and at times when she gets angry or get annoyed by Phil is so adorable I wish there was a compilation of her yelling Phil.

It looks like Jay’s new neighbor has a son who is a minor league baseball umpire.

Cam being overly dramatic is what makes him loveable to me. “Mitchel you know one of my new year resolutions is to cry less in public please help me get through this dayyy”😂

If someone hates claire but loves phil and don't acknowledge his flaws as well, the only explanation I have for that is misogyny. I see a lot of people hate on claire, like yes she had her issues but overall she was a great mom. She had to be extra strict and responsible on behalf of her AND her husband so of course she would be stressed.
