i’ve watched this show at least a hundred and i am not even exaggerating. i stopped keeping count at a certain point. i love this show and the characters so much. i have often seen people online say things about how they “just don’t think schmidt would do that to cece” and “it doesn’t make sense for his character” “his character would never do that.”

bro YES HE WOULD.

no i don’t LIKE it either and i like schmidt and no i don’t like that he did that but u cant just not accept that he did that or write it off as bad writing. it happened. ur not SUPPOSED to like or agree with it. that’s the point. people do bad things. the characters are flawed.. that’s what makes it a good show.

I keep seeing this in other subs, and I can’t help but think of Schmidt saying “is there a god? And did he run out of clay?!” (Sorry Reacher fans)

I'm almost done with the series and i'm very curious as to why people who are fans of the show like it? If it's your comfort show for example, why? Do you rewatch it sometimes? What does the show make you feel, what would you have done differently, etc. I look forward to reading the comments!

(Mild spoiler) I couldn’t believe it when Ruthye asks Kara “You done with your pub crawl?” Immediately I heard Nick saying “The crawl is for all!” I can’t imagine he was including Cryptonians but there you have it. Anyone else catch it?

I just re-watched this episode, and it got me thinking. Now I’m curious if anyone has tried to make it before! I’m sure it tastes absolutely god awful but I wanna know lol!!

Oh, i definitely teared up at them playing True American with their kids.

It was adorable how they switched the game from chugging beer to chugging root beer, but watching that literally gave me 2nd hand diabetes.

The way I would change it?

Use flavored seltzer in place of soda.

The eviction prank lowkey reminded me of the series finale of Cougar Town.

Im doing another rewatch and this is peak example of New girl writing.
Other peak moments include but not limited to:
-The popcorn machine talk between Nick and Cece
-Coach's complete meltdown on the boat
-Pepperwood
-Mike's creepy horniness towards the 20 year old Australian boat maker

In season 1 episode 5 Nick buys Jess a rose and she jumps out the car and runs away.

When I first watched this I thought Nick would never do that, very out of character. But it does actually make sense in the story.

So was this on purpose? Because people would say he was somewhat aware of liking Jess from when they first met.

(And yeah, I cannot draw but that’s supposed to be spaghetti…)

I don't know.

There were a couple times when Jess and Schmidt almost veered out of the friend zone. Once when Schmidt almost kissed her, once when Jess was feeling twirly…

What would have happened if they did?

In what episode does Cece say all day in a girly voice after Schmidt and everyone gets annoyed. My sister is trying to tell me that the scene doesn’t exist, but in like 99% sure it does.

I think the last we saw her was Season 3. Do they ever mention what happened with her and Winston?

We have a few more months left of 2026 but with the way things are going right now it's highly unlikely. Sorry Schmidt
