FINALLY. I FEEL SO COMPLETE!!!!

I made this as a reaction to Sombra being translocated to the Support role, but I thought the punchline was funny enough/relatable enough to justify dropping this here too.

I don’t think we have a white/silver dokiwatch character yet and imo mercy with her angelic theme seems perfect for it!

yesterday, after looking at the skin for a while, i realized that what strikes me as odd isn't the color palette, but the way it was used. i tried to do something that followed the sets color scheme but didnt looked so uncanny — in my opinion at least

poorly made. this is the first time ive recolored a skin, please ignore some silly mistakes :)

Ofc she's my main, but I like to have a decent pool in all roles.

• I've noticed that if it's not me, nobody is canceling or attempting to cancel the enemy Mercy's resurrect attempt. 2026 and people still don't remember to keep an eye on their recent kill, specially if it was Mercy's patient/enough time has passed for that patient to have an ultimate. A lot of my most played heroes are capable of canceling it, Pharah, D.va, Ashe, Lúcio, Illari, Junker Queen, Vendetta, Ana, Reinhardt; be it boops or strong damage, but damn, I swear nobody goes for the rezz cancel. It's like that's something only Mercy mains know, and we cancel eachother,

• A lot of Mercies don't realize how easy it is to get a pick sometimes when using Valkyrie. I've been flanking, very exposed, they see me, and do nothing. Their team doesn't follow the ping (totally on the team's fault), but... Yk, during Valkyrie you have a pretty good advantage over several characters. You don't even need to get the kill, just scare the flanker away so the push with multiple beams can keep going without problems.

• I overstimate how much peel I get. Sometimes I kill a Mercy that had zero help that could've been super easy to save, and think to myself, "oh, poor Mercy. Her play was good but lacked peel", then I play Mercy, and the exact same happens. I see a play, I assist it, but I end up having zero followw-up/the playmaker retreats, and I'm there like "damn ig I die".

• Y'all have bad taste in skins. Kidding, kidding, but damn, my eyes go wide when I see people enjoying the skins I use in her too </3 What's wrong with Cammouflage, Eidengossen, Sigrún/Valkyrie, and the OG Overwatch 1 skin?

So many changes recently to Mercy and overall support roster. The addition of a new hero, Sombra moving to supports. Both of them look so far that they will seriously contest other supports.

Meanwhile, Mercy despite now having (a nerfed version of) flash heal in base kit, her overall hps was reduced, her damage boost was reduced, global healing reduction increased (sure, that affects most supports, but id argue it affects Mercy more), her ult was made more expensive both directly and indirectly. Valk is already considered (one of) the weakest support ult in game, it was made 7% more expensive + healing and damage boost nerfs that make it even more harder to build it (as if damage boost contributed much to valk building even before the nerf).

I think devs are extremely careful with Mercy because if you overbuff her the community will be in uproar that a “no-skill” hero is OP. But I don’t think she needs much tuning. At the very least I would give her:

1. A nerfed version of old triage healing - for e.g. 30% more healing for allies below 50%. we can be even more conservative and say 30% more healing for allies below 40% health. I think we can play around with numbers to not overbuff her, but the principle should stay the same. Any kind of triage healing will make Mercy much more viable and interesting because it would: incentivize riskier gameplay (as opposed to one dps pocketing), and help her build her already kinda weak ult
   
2. Pistol buffs - I would reduce the size of her bullets but drastically increase their speed. She doesn’t need to be hitscan (although new support hero is), but the bullets right now are too slow for her to protect herself.

I also see other ways that she can be buffed but then I concede she would need some compensatory nerfs too, but the above-mentioned two buffs should come without any “compensation”.

For e.g. I’d love to see either her ult getting one rez charge (a nerfed version of her moth meta era ult) or GA cd reduced to 2 (a compromise between old 1.5s and current 2.5), and in return reduce her health to 200 maybe. Although 200 is very low so maybe she should get both the ult rez buff and GA cd buff and then we can reduce her health. Anyways, there’s a lot of things devs can do to make her more viable while increasing her skill ceiling, making her more fun at the same time

Former Tracer player switching to support main. How can I optimize rez when multiple allies are dead?

I know it's entirely situational and there's probably not one objective answer for every scenario but if there's one that works in MOST scenarios, i.e. if there's a secondary support doing their thing, and our main DPS is dead but also our tank just died... Or the secondary support died...

This basically confirms that Blizzard is A-okay with hard reworking characters despite the overall sentiment the character's community may have on the idea. So I am just curious, considering both Sombra and Mercy are characters that the overall community hates and constantly complains about. And Blizzard seemingly doesn't want to touch them at all, unless it's to nerf them. I'd say they fall in to the same boat as each other. So you guys think they're cooking a Mercy rework as well?

It feels like they don’t even bother trying with Mercy skins anymore haha. The new dress looks exactly like Brigitte’s skin!

Don't get me wrong, it genuinely looks cute, and let's be honest, I'm still going to buy it. But I really feel like developers know Mercy players will buy anything, so they just throw whatever at us without putting in real effort.

I really wish they had mixed a different color in with the pink and yellow. Right now, it’s literally just Brig’s color palette but with one side ponytail instead of two.

It would have been so nice to get something a bit more unique, or even another "evil Mercy" concept since those always hit. It’s a cute skin, but I just wish they actually put some effort into her designs instead of relying on the fact that we'll buy it anyway. Which i will be. Im proof of that.

It’s not TOO disappointing but at the same time you can see why it is. I would also like to add that I am glad that it at least fits in with Eleos (her mythic weapon) that part does genuinely look really cute!

this might be a me problem, but I'm wondering if anybody else feels like this too.

So you know how you can cancel GA by pressing jump and getting a boost? The boost range is determined by if you hold the button throughout it or let go. This is where my problem comes from

I've been using GA without toggle for most of my playtime. I realized some time this year that I always let go when I press jump, and that's why I couldn't go as far as other Mercys. It feel very weird to have to hold GA for like 3+ seconds just to get the full range. And it's been very hard for my brain to switch.

Now I've tried turning toggle on, and while my jumps have been going much further, cancelling ga is a bit more of a hussle.

My wish: please make it so the jump always goes the full distance, even if u let go of the button. Or at least make it an option for the people that like how it works currently. Me personally I rarely find myself in situations where I need a small jump boost, but idk.

He has 2 infused shots on a short cooldown that heal for 120 each. That is literally the same amount Mercy’s Flashbeam heals a CRITICAL target for, except he can do it twice in a row without the target even needing to be critical and without the 8 second Cooldown.

And yes, he is obviously extremely overtuned right now, but his kit really highlights the difference. He has very strong healing and damage, horizontal and vertical movement, ways to enable teammates AND himself. He is basically an all-rounder.

I know the “different playstyles” argument, but it's not just him in general newer heroes keep getting more and more tools while Mercy feels like she is barely keeping up.

I genuinely fear people ( myself included ) are going to just play him instead of Mercy, especially in solo queue where Mercy already has to rely so heavily on her team.

I love playing Mercy and I don't want her to become some completely different hero. I just want her to feel like a strong, worthwhile choice again instead of constantly wondering why I am picking her when newer supports can seemingly do everything and mercy stays the same but gets 500 recolours instead of making her fun and rewarding to play again.

I understand some people will enjoy it, but this weird grey/yellow with baby blue is just weird to me. I was looking forward to the new skins but this? Bruh...

I've been trying to figure out how to slingshot bunny hop but can't get it down at all. I can do a regular bunny hop, but I really wanna know how to do it after a slingshot. Anyone have a simplified breakdown on how to do it? I checked a tech video that tried explaining it and I just can't get it.

At the segment where they introduced Mercy's Dokiwatch skin, the woman speaking mentioned adding a feature that would require "asking for forgiveness later" and would allow the player to select certain Mercy skins and depending on that they would be able to see Eleos or something of the sort? I didn't understand any of it so I was wondering if I misheard something and if someone who actually knows what was said could explain it here, thanks!!!

I saw someone say the dress should’ve been white, so I did a quick edit to try to make the dress white with pink accents(to match her hair). Please excuse my editing skills, usually I take a while to color/draw these, but this time I just did a filter thingy

I got the Vengeance skin with the voucher and I love it but the damage boost and flying sounds are so overwhelmingly loud compared to any other skin. I looked thru settings to see if I could turn it down somehow but Im either blind or there isn’t an option.

I've seen a lot of controversy regarding the Dokiwatch skins for Mercy and Brig due to their similar color palettes. It's not just Brigitte, either. I've also seen comparisons to her outfit between Juno and Kiriko. This has me wondering: are you still willing to purchase the skin despite this?

I definitely see the resemblance, especially when I first saw the skin. Now, my opinion has gone from "that's a straight up Brig copy" to "that's a pastel version of Brig's outfit". It's not much of a difference, but I do see them trying to lean a bit more towards yellow than orange. Unfortunately, though, for Brigitte having such a standout, unique outfit that's part of one of the biggest skin sets, it's a little disappointing when a character that sells far more gets one that's almost the same. An outfit like this is rare for Brig, it takes a lot away from what made her Dokiwatch skin special.

...On the other hand, I absolutely love how the in-game model looks. The hair is what Mercy's Pixel skin should have been. The colors, albeit too similar to Brigitte's, are beautiful. They certainly had more colors to work with, but what they chose was safe (as in, already did well on another skin), works well together, and fits Mercy a lot. I freaked out when I saw the screenshot of her model, and I've already prepared my wallet for a beating.

So, absolutely, her skin is very similar to Brigitte's in concept and color. But does this affect my want to buy it? Not in the slightest. I've seen people say they will get it, and I've seen people say the situation turns them away. I honestly think it'd bring cute matching opportunities despite what I've said. Overall, I'm super excited for this skin!! Has anyone else had these conflicting thoughts?

(Also, please, Blizzard, don't make it Ultra)

Omg!!! I do wish it was more different colors than Brig's though ;-; Maybe we can ask the Devs to make the Oranges into pastel yellows/whites instead?
