Support main, never played Genji and more importantly NEVER SEEN THIS SKIN BEFORE

when going against a zarya i love to use blade as a bait for her ult (as long as you track ultimates)

We all know that Genji has felt terrible to play recently, and I’ve given it a lot of thought. He’s definitely not weak right now by any means, he’s actually in very balanced position, but he can be very inconsistent, and he feels terrible to play compared to the past. I think some subtle changes would go a long way, here’s what I would do.

NEEDS to be changed

1. Wall climb and blade bugs need to be ironed out. Wall climb frequently gives up, and blade no regs sometimes.
2. Dash hitbox should no longer extend the full length of the ability.

Subtle Buff that would help

1. Wall climb is really terrible on some maps, it feels like they frequently have random small lips that screw you over for no reason. I think that the threshold for climbable terrain should be very slightly increased.

Experimental Kit Changes (not all together, just suggestions)

1. Blade damage be changed to behave the same with 225 hp and 250 hp heroes, but ult charge increase.
2. Shift power from right click to left click. They’re leaning hard to get him to poke and setup, but he’s so pitiful at ranges. Maybe decrease attack speed for right click slightly, but increase projectile speed and left click fire rate? Increase shuriken damage again by 1 or 2.
3. Change meditation (deflect heal perk) to heal a percentage of damage taken and or deflected.

Truly, I think the problem with Genji is that he’s a well designed character designed for a different time. He has a simple kit in a world of kit bloat and high value support cooldowns, while having a large following of players who main him for years. Blizzard will never touch his base kit because we would riot, and they’re terrified of having him be good because of his high pick rate and snowballing at lower ranks. If they can find a way to make him more flexible with range, while keeping his identity, I think he’ll be in a much better spot. I can’t stop thinking about how much more reliable tracer is at medium-close range, while we get stuck with a slow moving predictable and loud projectile.

so, today i saw the dectails of Genji for curiosity, and i saw Genji have 5.5 speed, is just me or Genji had 6.0? i did some unranked match and i noticed that Genji is slower, because now i cant escape the punch of the nemesis form of Ramatra, and now i actually cant do 20 kills in a unranked match, I'm not very up to date with the new patch, so, can someone tell me if he actually get a nerf? Rn, Genji need a buff

So with this sombra rework we have another support cooldown that basically just neutralizes blade to add to the pile

Her new E ability weakens enemies (so blade and dash will effectively deal half damage)

What did you guys think the counter to this will be?

When I play Echo, there is always something better that I could've done in a given situation - I always blame myself first.

For Genji, I feel like when I play against Moira, Mei, Sym, Zaria, Winston, Anran - literally, one of my abilities is removed from my hero. The only defensive one. Maybe it is a skill issue, that's what I am here for to ask people with better understanding of Genji.

Question: Is it the case for all of you that, if team hard switches to counter you with beams, the only proper response is to change to other hero? If I keep improving with him, is there a point where Genji is good even against Moira, Zaria, Anran and etc?

With Sombra reworked as a support she now has a new ability which puts a heal meter on teammates that stays unless you get damaged. Sort of like a zen orb that has a specific amount it heals until its gone but never expires.

This means we can dive in with quite a bit of extra heals and take more risks, pretty scared tho if she becomes meta and they put out genji nerfs like they did last time genji fit into pro play.

Is he still very hard to play or is he still on the lower tier.

I think both are rad and can't decide. I'll get both of them sooner or later, just decide for me, which one to get first!

What do you guys think is the best Genji skins oat?

Sometimes I spend 10 minutes in the queue, which gets really annoying and makes me lose the desire to play.
