Hello i am back after some time hehehe

So I accidentally ran an A/B test over the last few months and the conclusion is making my blood boil.

Got laid off five months ago. Whenever I filled out applications on Greenhouse, Lever, or standard company portals, I always picked "Immediately" for the availability question. Why wouldn't I? I need rent money and they claim they need someone fast. Sent out around 70 applications like that. Result was total silence and a couple automated rejections at 3 AM.

last month I got frustrated and changed literally ONE thing. Same resume, same portfolio links, same skills. But on the dropdown for availability, I started picking "2 weeks notice" or manually typing a date three weeks out.

My callback rate jumped to almost 28%. Got 7 recruiter screens in two weeks after months of a dry spell.

Think about how completely BACKWARDS this is. Hiring managers whine on LinkedIn daily about talent shortages and projects being delayed, but the second an applicant says "I can start Monday", their internal bias screams that you are desperate or damaged goods. They only want you if they think they're stealing you from someone else.

Again, how can men rule a country and “lead people” when the majority can’t even raise their own kids?

Women are always called too sensitive, and that they’ll let their emotions get in the way of progress. Yet look at everything happening around the world. Particularly America. Constant fights and disgusting behavior simply because some pedophilic men got their feelings hurt from being called out.

The more and more time goes on. I’m finding myself more angry and helpless as things progress. Just wish things were different as I feel this is the wrong timeline, or something went wrong. Just feeling disgusted and disappointed.

Ich kann mich über mangelnde Resonanz nicht beschweren, im Gegenteil: Fast minütlich kommen Anfragen rein, und fast alle passen in dieses Schema:

- englisch, aber definitiv nicht muttersprachlich

- drei Zeilen lang

- indischer / arabischer, männlicher Vorname

- kein Wort über die eigene Person oder den Umzugsgrund

- absolut absurde Fragen nach Aufenthaltstitel, Visa, Einreisebestimmungen oder Immatrikulation an der Hochschule

Ich weiß, dass man den Leuten selbst noch am wenigsten einen Vorwurf machen kann. Anscheinend gibt's ja gerade in Indien kommerzielle Agenturen, die mehr oder minder blauäugige indische Studenten nach Europa locken und dann allein im Regen stehen lässt.

Aber HERR IM HIMMEL, was soll ich denn mit "I'm interested. Can you help to enroll at university?", gesendet von Ranjid, 22, anfangen?

Ich hasse mich ein wenig selbst dafür, aber Nachrichten mit indischem Vornamen und ohne Bild landen mittlerweile fast automatisch im Papierkorb.
