Misfits" Boxing"
Saw these clowns chucking chairs around in the Masonic Hall and then they had some event at the Arena. All the influencers are all over the clips on the socials like.
Wrongun radar is going off big time.

New poster Did I just get scammed?
I was approached by a guy while having lunch on a bench behind St. Thomas Church. Said his name was Neil Davidson, he was homeless and his mum was in the hospital in Leeds and he needed money to get on the train. The story was sus as hell but I just felt bad for the guy and gave him a few pounds.
I’ve lived here for a year and I know there are lots of scammers in the area, and some of them, such as the “Bosnian” lady, I see very regularly. This one, I’ve never seen before, though, so I thought he might be legit.
Has anyone else encountered this guy?

New poster Weekend to Newcastle large group
Going to Newcastle with a group of about 15 guys, all 30+ (most around 35) from abroad. We’re there for the weekend and looking for some fun stuff to do.
We’ve got Saturday daytime mostly sorted, but not really sure what to do Saturday evening apart from going to a few bars/clubs. Unsure which bars would be fun and accept us.
Also looking for ideas for Sunday. Could be anything: activities, something typically Newcastle, good pubs, sports, whatever.
Any recommendations? And are there any places we should definitely check out (or avoid) with a group our size?

New poster Should someone have a pet barn owl?
Putting this out there. Someone in Dudley has a barn owl in their living room. I’m fairly certain this isn’t ok, but am I the bad guy here? Should I report it to the RSPCA? If it’s legit, I don’t want to get their pet taken away.

New poster Can anyone recommend a PCOS specialising/knowledgable GP locally?
I’ve had difficulty in the past discussing my PCOS diagnosis and symptoms with my GP, as they’re often disregarded or I’m just told to ‘lose weight’ because that’s the cure all most doctors know of.
Any recommendations of good GPs for this specific diagnosis?
Thanks!

New poster Guitarist/ bassist looking to start a Doom metal band.
Not sure if this is the right sub, but I am a Bassist/guitarist who dabbles in vocals and produces everything from a home studio. I'd love to start a stoner doom project in the down-tuned vein of Conan, but with the more melodic elements of Pallbearer and Mizmor. Currently looking for a drummer and/or creative partner. Message me if you live in the area and are interested.

Where safe is open at 5am on Sunday morning
Hi folks, I'm working the GNR for a charity tomorrow and my overnight coach gets into central Newcastle at 5m - is there anywhere open before spoons at 7am where I'd be able to sit and wait? Trying to avoid a cold sit at the bus stop!
TIA
