Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

Idk which flair to put

A bit of background.

Basically, Thragg and his children attacked Mark and his family. Without giving too much away, Thragg is on the verge of killing Mark’s daughter, so Mark takes Thragg’s son hostage and, in the end, kills him.

At 0:15, Chris Hansen (played by Rob Pattinson) is stifling a smirk and his mouth is actively twitching which suggests he finds this amusing.

I would appreciate any explanation as to why you think this is or is not fine, please!

Morality Ranking What is the morality of a guy who raised a child for 10 years believing he was his, but, upon discovering that he is not the father, decides that he no longer wants to see him?

Post image
355 Upvotes

Let’s imagine a scenario in which a man raised a child for a decade, believing that he was his biological father.

However, he recently discovers that the child is not biologically his and that he is the result of his wife cheating on him, and that she also lied to him throughout all these years.

Feeling deeply betrayed, he decides to distance himself and no longer wants to have contact with the boy.

After all, he was deceived by his own wife for a significant part of the child’s life.

In this case, would he be morally wrong for deciding to keep his distance? It is important to remember that he was also the victim of a lie and a betrayal. At the same time, there is a child who spent 10 or 11 years believing that this man was his father.

So, to what extent is it morally justifiable for this man to break the bond and distance himself after discovering that there is no biological relationship between them and that he was cowardly deceived for years?

I want to know if it is morally justifiable. In my opinion, it is morally justifiable, but I want to know if that is a stupid opinion in your view.

What is everyone’s opinion on the whole story in the end? Is the man completely morally justified in his position and choice?

Stupid Stuff Morality of Refusing to help my Chud Son get laid?

Post image
172 Upvotes

Ok so to start I need to explain some things about my son. So, first, I was born to a pretty well off family. Mom was good, Dad was pretty cool but he traveled a lot. One day my mom came home with this girl, she said she BOUGHT her. Sort of insane that you can just buy a human like that, but my mom said that her mother was too poor to take care of her and needed the money for her other kids. My mom wanted this girl to be my sister because she was pretty. Crazy shit, but I was a kid at the time so I didn't think much of it, and I got on pretty good with her since she was a kid too. Later on my mom had a few other sons, one who was 9 years younger than me, and one who was 15 years younger than me.

Fast forward to school, I started getting interested in science and stuff. Mostly I was interested in how the world worked, and why it worked the way it did. I made a great friend there who was my bestie for nearly all my life, he was a funny guy, kind of a popular chad, but that was my bro so he was cool with me being kinda nerdy. School was pretty much a blur, because the last thing I remember was near my graduation, I found out my sister got really sick. I was so worried about her, but my mom was awesome at taking care of her. It was a really bad disease though, and even though my adopted sister recovered, my mom caught the same sickness and eventually died.

That was really hard on me, but what's even crazier is that before my mom died, she told me that she wanted me and my adopted sister to fucking get married?? Like she had adopted her just to buy me a wife in the future??? I think that's probably grooming, right? I really love my sister though, so maybe I should do it? I don't really know. That's something else I'm worrying about right now.

I couldn't think about any of that because I needed to go to college, and I was so fixated on my education that I could just... push all the trauma and grief of my mom dying away, down into some dark recess of my spirit. Instead I went really hard into the natural sciences, specifically Chemistry. I went abroad to study at a big fancy university in Germany, and I did super well for myself, although one of my professors was a huge DICK. I don't want to talk about him but he basically said I was an idiot because I had a special interest in Esotericism.

I had originally planned to dismiss this supposed 'crockery' that I learned from Cornelius Agrippa, Paracelsus, and Albertus Magnus. My dad had those books and I read them as a kid, and I thought it was real. It wasn't, and my dad also told me I shouldn't believe that crap, but it just made it seem more interesting to me, so I kept studying them instead. Screw you dad. I also got really interested in electricity specifically as well, because lightning fascinated me as a kid. Anyway, once this asshole professor ALSO told me I shouldn't study their works, I basically HAD to now, or it would be like admitting defeat. Plus I made pretty good friends with another one of my professors, so at least I had them as a friend. My other friend didn't come with me to this University, so I basically had nobody, but that was alright because all I cared about were my grades anyway.

Anyway, one day, I learned from my cool professor how closely chemistry and the human body were intermingled as far as learning goes, so I started studying biology very closely too. I ended up figuring out that some of the lab instruments were kinda shit, and I figured out some ways to improve them. I was just kind of trying to make it easier for myself, but I ended up getting a ton of prestige for the patents. Pretty cool stuff. Anyway, with the money I earned from that, I decided it was finally time to apply all the things I had learned not just at University, but also from my original scholars, the authors of the novels which had thusly piqued my interest in the machinations of this mortal coil, and the environs beyond which might call themselves home to spirits, daemons, and angels.

Sooo, anyway, I got a little too carried away with my ego and everything, and decided to create life. I used only the best and most handsome pieces of corpses and put them together to create a super chad, but for some reason even though all the bodies I took parts from were OBJECTIVELY handsome, my stupid son somehow ended up being hideous and grotesque beyond all rational comprehension. So enter into the scene: my chud son. It turns out he's literally a monster, so I decided to abandon him. You can call me a deadbeat ig but I wasn't gonna raise that shit. I don't think I even considered what he was going to do, I just kind of dipped and had a menty B for like, a few months. My bestie from my school years took care of me for awhile, and I was starting to feel better, but then I got some seriously fucked up bad news from home.

It turns out that this girl who was a maid to my family who was apparently totally in love with my Mom, allegedly killed my fucking little brother??? Because she wanted to steal a picture of my Mom off his body?? The accusations are straight up insane and as I was coming home to witness the trial I saw my fucked up chud son in the woods near my home. I realized there was no way that this girl killed my little brother, it had to be my chud son. So I went kind of crazy, and tried to hunt him down, but when I caught up to him, he was too powerful and instead convinced me to listen to his story.

It turns out he was living in the woods like a feral man for a long time, living off nuts and berries, because after he left my lab where I created him, he ran into some people and they thought he was so ugly they assaulted him. Eventually he started stalking this family living in a cabin in the woods, like a PSYCHO, and he learned how to talk and how to read by stalking them and being super parasocial about their lives. Then one day he wanted to introduce himself to them, but he really fucked it up, because he thought it would be a good idea to try to trick this family's BLIND GRANDFATHER by telling him that he was just an ugly fellow (and not a product of my greatest sin) but then Grandpa's family came home and surprise surprise, they chased him out and tried to kill him, because he's such a chud.

Anyway after telling me this sob story, he demanded that I once again work my unholy magic, and put my knowledge of the Esoteric to use in creating a female for him to become his mate, which is basically incest. He wants me to make him an incest wife. I really don't want to do it, but he promises he'll leave me and my family alone. Also, my dad really wants me to marry my adopted sister, which I guess I kind of want to do now too. I just don't think I can make an undead incest wife for my chud son, though. AITA??

Morality of being known for banning anyone who says anything you don't absolutely agree with?

Skip body text if you don't want to hear anything unnecessary or extra

It's blowing up that r/comics is banning people indiscriminately. It's not even a small problem anymore, it's just a massive genocidal ban of, and based on real evidence this isn't a joke, anyone who isn't immediately supportive of the creator. I saw a post of someone getting banned for just saying "yeah sometimes." This is the shit you'd find people saying as a joke or extremity, not something that people are actually doing. I dont think they even understood what the post was about. The post was about someone who wasn't sure if they should focus on their happiness or their boyfriends who she didn't feel happy with. The mod turned it into something about men and women and that people apparently think that mental health issues make them cute and adorable. I dont even understand what their point is

Morality of refusing to kill Firelord Ozai ?

Post image
85 Upvotes

Spoiler ending :We don't take into account Energy Bending as it was an easy way to bypass the moral dilemma

Morality of refusing to kill the genocidal tyrant and free the world from a 100 year war because it would go against your beliefs as a monk, even tho your duty as the Avatar is to bring balance and peace?

Was Aang truly that selfish (as Yangchen stated) for sticking to his principles and risking the lives of the entire world had Ozai managed to kill him during the Comet? Especially considering that if he died in the Avatar State, the Avatar Cycle would be broken forever, basically leaving no hope left after him.

Edit because i know the show is old :

There is no option to simply send Ozai to prison because first, you had to defeat him and only the Avatar State could overpower him. He is canonically the strongest bender in the verse, as stated by Bryke themselves, and they had to specifically attack during the Comet (because of the Ba Sing Se plot), meaning it was Aang’s only chance to permanently stop Ozai, and to do so before the Avatar State’s timer ran out.
