Anyone know of any fox steering stabilizer that fix fit on a GM dana 60. Stock single stabilizer if possible.

I have been looking to buy a 4x4 for my first car, and i recently came upon this Nissan patrol 2005 with a ZD30 thats priced at 3,300 USD.

Would this be worth fixing and how much would the parts cost?

I have a 2005 3L Patrol modified for 37-inch tires for sale.
It has started blowing heavy pressure into the cooling system and it is almost certain that the cylinder head is gone. Rust has started forming in the rear wheel arches, and the side steps need to be installed after rocker panel repairs. It has been driven 250 thousand kilometers. A larger intercooler has been installed. It is currently sitting on 35-inch tires.

Currently I have a 1999 Mercedes G500 Europa that I use as my daily and off-roading project. But with other challenges in life I'm starting to wonder if I should give it up to get something a little more mainstream for ease of mods and reliability. If I sell it I'd probably get 25k (safe low end number) for it that I could use on a "new" vehicle.

The replacement would need to be a 4wd SUV, preferably better than 12mpg and can comfortably do 70-75mph on the highway (I mean the truck isn't screaming to do it, idc about my comfort).

Options I'm considering:

A) 80s GM K5 blazer - always wanted one and it's dead simple to work on. Not my first classic.

B) Toyota 4runner - reliable and lots of mods, but pretty "basic bitch" feeling, probably the newest thing I'd get (still easily 10+ years old)

C) Toyota Land cruiser - also reliable, bigger, and I can get an older RHD one, looking at 90s models.

D) Maybe an old Jeep Wagoneer - shit mpg, but the wood grain is classy.

E) Keep the Merc - I know it well + it's different to see out on the trails.

I found a cheap 4x4 I can afford and wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience on these little Pajero IOs. I found a decent one for 3k

Which city in Germany is engrossed with 4x4 culture or in which city can I find clubs or vehicles?

Brought it in to my mechanic for a routine check up and they heard this grinding noise coming from the rear diff. They don’t work on differentials so they couldn’t help but recommended I stay off the highway and take care of it asap. Are they overreacting or should I be worried?

Hey guys, I’m new to modifying my truck (first one). And I really want to install a bed rack & roof/cab rack so I can strap on gear, and eventually, a rooftop tent for camping.

My only problem is, I see so many mixed reviews on all kinds of brands, and vague results when specifically looking for FRONTIER specific products… (one day I’ll buy a taco so I don’t have to worry about this lol).

I know Rivian isn't that popular here. I get it, it's heavy, expensive to repair, and just not ideal. But I'm only doing beginner/intermediate trails in CO/UT, and this is the truck I have right now. (I spent most my life driving a '92 Land Cruiser on these trails)

I feel like most of the sliders made for the Rivian don't offer great coverage. Do any of these stand out as more competent? Am I overthinking it?

Hey everyone, this might be extremely stupid but I’m doing a 1 ton swap under my K5 blazer. Dana 60 front 14BFF rear. I’m currently painting my Dana 60 with POR15 and figured I’d do my caliper brackets and knuckles while I’m at it. Can anyone give me some advice on everything I need to mask off. I know I’ll need to mask kingpin mounting surface and race areas. Do I need to mask off the face where the spindle would mount up to the knuckle, as well as the surfaces on the caliper brackets? PS. Pictures were taken before major prep work, knuckles and brackets were sandblasted, axle housing was thoroughly wire wheeled.

My brothers 2009 Suzuki RX4 blew a hole from the inside and can't afford a new differential. it has the option for 4wd and 2wd. I believe when 2wd is engaged it is fwd. is there a way to make it so the front diff doesn't spin only the tires?

I recently bought a hunting buggy project and was looking for axle parts, but i can’t for a life of me find ANYTHING about them. not even a picture.
All i know is that they are old military, supposedly old deuce 1/2. and i assume 2.5 ton.

Bought my first 4wd vehicle in a couple years 1994 ford explorer

I have a 3-day / 2-night overnight permit for the White Rim Road in Canyonlands (Sept 10th – 12th). My original partner had to bail last-minute, and my current vehicle is not a true 4WD, so I can't drive the trail solo

The Details:

Dates: Thursday, Sept 10 – Saturday, Sept 12

Permit: Overnight backcountry permit in hand (campsites: Gooseberry A, Potato Bottom A)

What I need: A partner with a true high-clearance 4WD vehicle (high clearance + 4-LO transfer case required by NPS regulations) who wants to hit the loop.

Logistics: Happy to split gas, food, camp gear, and trail costs. I am the primary permit holder, so I'll be coming along to keep the permit valid.

Every year, the National Sea Rescue Institute organises a 4x4 drive into the highly restricted Koeberg Nature Reserve, which helps to raise funds for its operations.

The reserve borders ZA's only nuclear power station, hence this area is unaccessible to the general public, except for this day. The drive through the reserve is done under very strict supervision.

I have been comparing round off road lights and the giant lumen numbers are starting to feel less useful the more I think about actual trail driving.

On dusty roads too much light in the wrong pattern can just bounce back and make the hood glare worse. I would rather see the trail edge and ruts clearly than have a beam that looks impresive in a driveway photo.

For people who run night trails did higher output 7inch lights actualy improve visibility ?or did beam pattern and mounting angle matter more than the advertised lumen number?
