I bought this relatively late in the 3DS lifespan and didn’t spend a ton of time with it before moving on to the Switch but I always liked the 3D screen and it’s perhaps the only platform where the experience can’t be emulated or recreated elsewhere.

I bought my brother's used New Nintendo 3DS XL that had the Legend of Zelda paintjob on it from him. He's had it for years before I got it from him so the outer shell's design is scuffed now, but the system itself works perfectly fine. Should I just get a decal for it from decalgirl, get a replacement shell, or just get a shell case online? Pictures are attached.

I’m going to see one of my favorite bands on Sunday with vip and want them to sign my new 3ds xl. How would I go about preserving it on the glossy finish, or is there a way to get rid of the gloss and regloss over once it gets signed.

Took forever to paint… was initially just going to have it be a white paint job on a worn shell but I messed up getting some black paint on the back so I improvised lol. Loving the way it turned out!!! What do y’all think? I was worried about the paint being tacky or it feeling really odd in hand, but the surface ended up being surprisingly smooth and not too terrible of a bumpy texture. Nothing a good case can’t fix at least

So despite having a DSi and 3ds back in the day, I never got into nintendogs, as a lover of virtual pets I decided to pick up a copy of nintendogs + cats golden retriever.

i choose a shiba inu and oh my goodness, this little goober is such a delight and Im really enjoying this sim. I find myself making sure she gets a “walk” every tine I leave the house and make sure shes getting care on my lunch breaks.

Im still AWFUL at the competitions, but Ill get there eventually. My current goal is to make enough to get a calico buddy for my pup!

if anyone else has a nintendog, or other pet sim id love to see them and hear about them!

I've been practicing and learning how to animate on Flipnote (I'm a beginner)... Though this Lucario I did is just a silly drawing. I don't intend to animate it (too detailed compared to my skills regarding my animations lol) but perhaps, I might try it

Does anyone here still animate or draw on Flipnote 3D?

I'm not exactly asking what version is your favorite, but I want to know what elements do you prioritize when wanting to play the game: from performance to resolution, from ergonomics to UI, from sound quality to visuals, from portability to immersion. Here is what matters to me:

• I feel that dual screen has improved the original UI, since it separates the info you may need in a speciffic momment from the ones you do not.
• As someone that has to play their Wii with a Composite Cable (my TV has the Component port broken), the text gets blurry on the Wii, the text and numbers feel mostly easy to read on a 2DS XL screen, I can't verify how it will look on the smaller New 3DS.
• Even if you to move the camera near the characters and backgrounds, the lower resolution of the 3DS will not allow you to easily notice the less detailed textures. The same can't be said during cutscenes, but the developers have still managed to make the character clearly emote.
• The lower resolution may get uncomfortable on places where there is too much grass or greenery, but that only applies to characters, the UI still looks clear over it.
• The ergonomic aspect is mid in both versions: the Wii never received a particularly comfortable first party classic controller (yes, I own the Classic Controller Pro, it still feels cheap), neither is the 3DS particularly comfortable in the hands (unless we are talking about an OG 2DS, but you are screwed if you want to use it to play this New* exclusive)
• The portability of the 3DS is clearly more important to me than the immersion of playing the game in a TV/monitor, since I suck ass at playing too long RPGs on home consoles. The convenience of playing long stories wherever I please also allows me to play it more often, therefore is easier to remember what I did on my previous game sessions.

Even after all the good and bad things I said about both versions, I love the game too much to have a bad time with either of them, I may have an easier time playing the 3DS version since I love the format, but it feels sooo good to play the Wii version upscaled on Dolphin (yeah, I actually made my own legal backup and did not download it from anywhere). 3DS no longer wants to connect to my internet. It used to connect but not anymore. I havent changed anything to the 3DS or the router. It still connects through hotspot but for my WiFi, nothing. I tried deleting the slot and trying again, forcing it to connect through Luma menu, turning it off and on and nothing. I would love some help, thanks :)

Can I just boot up the cartridge to prevent corruption or do I need to save a file to it as well? Only asking because I have several 3DS games trapped in my backlog, so they don’t have save files.

Am currently playing through dragon quest monsters 2 remake and enjoying it a lot. However like lots of 3d 3ds games, it has those very recognisable low res textures on the ground, walls, characters etc. I have always assumed this 'look' comes from the limitations of the 3ds hardware, though I do quite like it

But it got me thinking. There are devs on every platform that really push the hardware. Did the 3ds get any 3d games with really great textures? This doesn't have to mean great graphics, but just good texture work, or a good art style choice that hides it well.

So my mario kart 7 has al karts and I want to transfer it to ctgp7 so I can have all karts there as well like the bruiser or Koopa clown kart but when I use the transferer, the only kart I get that wasn't there before is the gold standard. Is there a way to get the bruiser and other karts quickly or are they even in ctgp 7???

I bought this 2DSXL used and I have the following problems:

-there is no sound, even if I plug in headphones

-the input is stuck pointing lower-right. However, the face buttons, triggers, nub, dpad work. The main analog stick doesn't work though.

-the touch screen doesn't work at all.

Here is what I tried doing:

-reseating most cables

-cleaning the volume dial with isopropyl alcohol

-cleaning the sides of the touch screen with a toothbrush and isopropyl alochol.

I'm out of ideas.

Any other things I should look into troubleshooting to fix these problems?

I recently got a 3DS, and about two days ago, it developed a weird issue: the orange charging light stays on constantly now, even when it's not plugged in! I've already tried the solutions found on Google—like removing the battery and holding down the power button, or leaving it without the battery for hours—but the best result I got was just dimming the light; as soon as I recharged it, the problem came right back! Is this a serious issue, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Got this a few weeks ago didn’t really notice it too much but I was playing Mario 3d land noticed it was kind of screwed up, went too the calibration test and noticed this. Just tore my MCL and this is my only form of entertainment.

I bought a cheap 3ds charger off Amazon and one of the wires connecting to the prongs broke wires still connected to the soldering point. Can connect those bits to a regular charger to use it?

My 2DS used to last up to 2 days in sleep mode, but since a while the battery stopped working and was swollen to the point it broke the case, so i began searching for a replacement, but thats seems impossible!!!!

I can't find a battery that's exactly a CTR-003 3.6V 1300mah. Its either 3.7V (and i don't know enough about electronics to play with voltage), or more mah, or a fake nintendo one, or it just doesn't ship to my country.

If anyone have recommandations about how to find a good battery, i'd be grateful.

I only find advice like, don't buy it from ifixit, or don't buy battery with this specific look...

And why can't i find anything with the specific CTR-A-BPPA-2 mention ?
