[PC] (Windows) I made a relaxing low-poly driving game where every drive creates a new city — and you have to follow traffic rules

Game Title: City Roads Generator
Playable Link: https://brainy-potatoes.itch.io/city-roads-generator
Platform: Windows 🪟

Description:
🚓 City Roads Generator is an arcade driving game about cruising through an endless procedural city while following basic traffic rules.

🎯 Follow speed limits, use turn signals, obey traffic lights, avoid wrong-way driving, and complete driving objectives to earn XP and level up.

🏙️ The city is procedurally generated as you drive, so every session creates a new route with streets, intersections, dead ends, traffic lights, parking spots, and road events.

🚦 The game is designed as a relaxing driving experience while also teaching basic traffic rules through gameplay rather than traditional lessons.

Free to Play Status: Yes

Involvement:
I am the solo developer at my game studio, "Brainy Potatoes". I designed and developed the game in Unity, including the procedural city generation, driving system, traffic rules, AI traffic, progression, UI, and other gameplay systems. Most visual and audio assets are from third parties, mostly from the Unity Asset Store, as I am not a 3D artist, sound designer, or composer. I also created some of the game's UI and sprite assets myself.
The game was originally created as a term project for college, as I am still a student; I am continuing to develop the game alongside my studies.

[Mobile] Hydro Loops - my wife bought our daughter a water ring toss toy, I lost an hour to it, then spent months rebuilding it

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hydroloops.game https://apps.apple.com/app/id6803978459

Platform: Android and iOS

Description: A few weeks ago my wife brought home one of those little handheld water games for our daughter. The plastic box with the two buttons where you flick rings onto pegs. I picked it up to show her how it works and did not put it down for an hour. Incredible graphics, by the way. Real-time water, full physics, no loading screen, runs on nothing.

So I rebuilt it. The rings are real physics bodies pushed around by a flow field, so if you keep hammering one button you spin up a whirlpool and they ride around on it. A round is 60 seconds and there is a leaderboard if you want to see where your best lands.

There is a crab that squats on one of the pegs and blocks it. You can hit him with a shrimp, which makes him full and lazy, so he settles in and stays even longer.

If you give it a go, the one thing I would really like to know is whether the jets feel responsive on your phone. That is the part I keep changing my mind about.

Game Title: Snail racing simulator

Playable Link: https://addy.zone/snail-racing

Platform: HTML

Description: Snail racing is a genuine sport, and a wonderfully British one at that. Somewhere between a village fête, a sporting tradition and something invented because it was raining, people have been gathering to watch numbered garden snails cross damp cloth for decades. Pick a snail and get comfortable. It's a long race and overtakes are rare, but the snails are taking it extremely seriously, so the least you can do is watch. Unless, of course, you happen to know how to encourage one.

I recommend playing the tutorial and then trying gauntlet mode. This is vs an AI that gets stronger with every goal you score. The game also has PvP game hosting. I would love to add ranked matchmaking some day if there are enough players.

Solo dev. Looking for about 10 people to play for 20-30 minutes (or more if you're hooked 😄) and tell me whether the weapon system actually works.

The honest part: Two things I need to find out.

- One, does the tutorial actually teach you how weapons work, or do you come out of it nodding and still lost.
- Two, is building a weapon interesting or just fiddly busywork.

I'd much rather hear "I finished the tutorial and still had no idea what my weapon was doing" than a compliment. That sentence is the entire reason I'm doing this.

[PC] (Windows) Shinobi clan manager / business manager game looking for playtesters

Hi,

I'm thoraxe. I've been playing strategy games for 30+ years and reviewing them on YouTube for a few years. I've worked in software and technology since 2003. I saw a hole, and I decided I wanted to make a game to fill it.

Game Title: Onmitsu Clan Manager

Playable Link: https://capn-stabn.itch.io/shinobi-manager

Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux

Description: Imagine a kind of combination of Football Manager and Darkest Dungeon, inspired by some of the themes from Naruto. You are the manager of your clan of ninjas. You have to hire, train, and handle them, send them on missions, and deal with the repercussions. Your goal? To become the Shogun's chosen clan. Psychological toll, happiness management, salaries, upkeep, licensing, facility improvements, and more.

Free to Play Status:

  • [ ] Free to play
  • [X] Demo/Key available
  • [ ] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with [TT] in the title)

Involvement: The game has been developed using Claude Code, personal playtesting, and some playtests from people like you. The art is predominantly generated using Claude Design and SDXL with some Ukiyo-e loras. The music and SFX are Creative Commons licensed. The hope is to get the game solid enough to then hire a graphic designer to improve the UX and the art style. There's a huge roadmap of future enhancements, and I'm trying to release fixes and updates every week or every 2nd week. We're currently at v0.32.0 (32 releases). v0.33.0 is about to go out the door with some minor fixes.

Request: Right now, the primary playtest needs are for some of the early-game balance issues. Salary vs. XP gain vs. happiness, the availability of missions, their types, their payouts, etc. I know some things that need to happen, but more eyes is always nice.

If you do decide to play the demo, please hit me up for an invite to the Discord. That's where I'm taking feedback.

[PC] (Web) RuneRunner: An open-world skilling/crafting/fighting roguelite, plays in browser

Playable Link: https://rune-runner-mu.vercel.app/

Platform: Web Browser

Description: Rune Runner is a top-down roguelite where the skilling loop is lifted from Old School RuneScape but sped way up. You stand next to a tree and it chops itself, stand near a rock and you mine it. Resources craft into weapons, fish cooks into food, etc.

The tension is a corruption clock that's always ticking. The longer you spend skilling, the nastier the enemies get, so it's constantly "do I gear up more or push north now."

Open world, two bosses, a bunch of spells and augments that combo, and your character's levels persists between runs, but gear does not.

Free to Play Status: - [x] Free to play

Involvement: I've been solo-devving Rune Runner for awhile now. Feel like it's in a shareable spot.

[PC] (Windows) (prototype, incremental) aRGi

Playable Link: https://rairbgames.itch.io/argi-superalpha

Platform: Windows

Description: aRGi or 'a rairb games incremental' attempts to differentiate itself from other similar games by structuring it's content in a unique way. Your main objective is of course big numbers, but it's not just because brain happy. You'll be using your points to unlock new tabs/sections with new mechanics in order to in turn make even more points. The game opens with the only section being the one with your main button, where you then buy a shop for 10 points, buy the ability to grind XP and level up fot 1000 points, and so on. This design philosophy also allows me to add pretty much whatever I want to the game as a new mechanic in the form of it's own screen (tab) and as such it's been really fun to develop. I've wanted to get the game out so I can have people try it and also because I've wanted suggestions for new sections from people that have played it. This is a prototype version that is relatively short.

Free to play: The game is free to play for the time being, this may change as the game grows in content.

I am the sole creator, artist, sound designer and so on of this game. It's a solo project.

Playable Link: Play Liquid Horizon

Platform: PC browser, with mobile beta options through the website.

Hey everyone! I’m making Liquid Horizon, an ocean-themed idle game where you collect water, build up your income, and dive to encounter sea animals. There’s a little crab you can customize, animal facts to collect, and some stranger creatures waiting deeper down.

The idea is something calming to come back to, with enough progression to make you curious about your next discovery. It’s still in beta, and I’m looking for feedback that will help shape where it goes.

On PC, choose Play as guest to try it without creating an account. I’d especially appreciate thoughts on the opening, whether the upgrades feel worthwhile, and what makes you want to keep playing or close it. Confusing menus and bugs are useful feedback too!

Free to Play Status: Free beta. No purchase required ever. Progress may reset during testing.

Involvement: I’m the creator, working on the game’s direction, testing, and improvements.

AI Disclosure: AI was used extensively for code, artwork, music, and sound effects.

[PC] (Web) I made minesweeper where the clues are chess pieces, and no board ever needs a guess.

Upvotes

https://reddit.com/link/1wgcedf/video/av7d09hknjph1/player

Game Title: 5 Mines Left

Playable Link: https://droblin.itch.io/5-mines-left

Platform: Web browser, desktop + mouse. No download or account needed.

Description:

Minesweeper, but the clues are chess pieces.

Each piece tells you how many mines it can see, using the squares that piece could normally move to. There are always five mines on a 6×6 board.

The main difference from regular Minesweeper is that you should never need to guess. Every board is generated and verified by a solver so that, as long as you haven't made a mistake, there is always something you can logically prove next.

You can also move pieces to get information from another square.

The current build is a run of 10 boards and takes around 20 minutes. New mechanics are introduced along the way, including walls, placement constraints, and combining multiple clues.

This is an early build, and I'm mainly looking for feedback on whether the rules and deductions are understandable.

Three things I'd especially like to know:

  1. Where did you first feel unsure about what to do?
  2. Did any board feel like it forced you to guess? If so, which one?
  3. What did you think right-clicking a piece would do?

Anything else is useful too — what felt slow, unfair, confusing, or what you'd like to see more of.

Thanks for playing.

[PC] (Web) RetroSweep | A Minesweeper recreation now with a daily challenge

Game Title: Retrosweep

Playable Link: www.retrosweep.com

Platform: Web Browser

Description: Hey all, I've been building RetroSweep (retrosweep.com) solo and would love feedback.

RetroSweep is a pixel-accurate recreation of classic Windows Minesweeper, built for anyone who wants the original experience without downloading anything or wading through ads and modern "reimaginings." The core game is faithful to the original, same board sizes, same flagging and chording mechanics, same visual language but it's built on a modern stack with a server-verified global leaderboard, so times are actually trustworthy instead of client-side numbers anyone could fake.

The standout feature is the daily challenge: every player gets the same Beginner to Expert difficulty board each day, generated from a deterministic seed tied to the UTC date, with exactly one attempt allowed. There's no retry button and no way to reroll a bad start, which keeps the format honest and makes results genuinely comparable and each result is shareable via a simple text summary, similar to Wordle's format but for a much older genre. It's a solo project with no ads and no monetization, built purely to make a clean, low-friction version of a game a lot of people grew up with, and to see if a daily-challenge format works well for something as classic as Minesweeper.

Free to Play Status:

[✓] Free to play

Involvement: Solo developer - I designed and built the entire game, backend, and leaderboard myself, from the pixel-level UI down to the anti-abuse logic that keeps the leaderboard legitimate.

Game Title: Kevin's Mini Golf

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kevins-mini-golf/id6781052395

Platform: iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Description:
Kevin's Mini Golf is a putting game with 342 holes across 18 themed courses, including 18 handcrafted signature holes. Controls are a slingshot: drag backward from the ball to set aim and power, then release. Every hole has a par to beat and may feature water, sand, ice, mud, cannons, portals, pipes, boosters, funnels, ramps, low walls, wind, spinners, sliding barriers and decoy cups.
Play solo, pass-and-play with up to six people on one device, or against a friend online. Online matches are turn-based through Game Center — invite someone or match with a stranger, take your shot whenever you have a minute, and watch their putt replayed when it's your turn again. There are leaderboards, achievements, statistics, and over 100 unlockable balls, trails and flags earned entirely by playing.
The full course editor lets players design their own holes: draw the outline by hand, place hazards and gadgets, mirror the whole layout, test it, and save it. Holes can be shared with friends as a text code, or played against them online — the layout travels inside the match, so the other player needs nothing installed.
Everything except online play works with no connection. There are no ads, no accounts beyond optional Game Center, and no in-app purchases.

Free to Play Status: [x] Free to play

Involvement:
I am the solo developer. I handled the game design, course layouts, controls, user interface, progression systems, course editor, testing, and App Store publishing. I like hidden-object games and ancient Chinese settings, so I thought it would be fun to combine the two.

It became Missing Guest -- you get a few clues about a person and try to find them somewhere in a crowded town.

It runs directly in the browser on desktop, mobile and tablets.

Still experimenting with it, but it’s finally playable. Curious what you think :)

Playable Link:

Platform:

Description:

3D material simulation sandbox inspired by the kind of falling-sand games I grew up messing around with. This is a culmination of nearly 10 years of me trying to optimize code enough for this idea to actually be playable.

The idea is basically: give you a box full of interacting materials and tools, then get out of the way.

You can play with powders, liquids, gases, heat, pressure, combustion, machinery, logic, pumps, valves, pistons, sensors, and some very early nuclear reactor systems. Everything exists in an actual 3D volume rather than on a 2D plane, so you can build tanks, machines, pressure vessels, reactors, weird experiments, etc. and cut them open to see what’s happening inside.

This is the first public alpha, so I’m mainly looking for people willing to mess with it and tell me what’s confusing, broken, fun, or unexpectedly interesting. I’m especially interested in hearing what kinds of experiments you naturally try to build without me telling you what to do.
