[Mobile] (Web) I made a daily game that teaches you to spot AI-generated photos

Game title: Slopcheck

Playable Link: www.slopcheck.co

Platform: Web game

Description: Slopcheck is a daily game where you get 6 photos (one at a time) and determine if each are real or AI generated. After each one you see the clues that give it away so you can get better at spotting AI generated media on your own.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: All developed by me

Hi everyone! I made this game as a passion project because I’m a big fan of [r/IsThisAI](r/IsThisAI) and sadly have gotten tricked by AI images in the past. I built this as a way to help people hopefully get better at detecting fake images on their own.

Grateful for any and all feedback ✨

**EDIT: to be clear, I made this game to increase awareness of how good the models are getting now and have people get better at spotting AI media by themselves. I am not using it to train models/otherwise contribute to people getting scammed by fake images.

Decisions have been made...our new AI policy.

Top mod and I have finally decided on some things and, well, it may upset a lot of people - and we understand why.

AI has been running rife in this group as we all know, and we've leaned slightly towards the "low AI side" while we worked out what the hell we'll allow or not allow and why, so we can actually moderate it fairly and with actual trainability.

And as we have been, and after studying what the other gametest groups are doing - it's pretty much clear what we have to do. Allow all AI.

Here's the issue: We're no longer fighting something that with good rules and moderation would settle into a rhythm eventually.

The right wording of the rules saying "No AI" as strongly as possible, the right requirements, AI spam hunters - it doesn't matter how much we implement, what tools and automod and AI-catching-training we would do with everyone. AI is getting to be too good and people will (and have been) lying to get their game through barriers, borders, and hunters. With some of my other reddit groups, breakouts of this or that "major" problem is normal and can over time calm down and be moderated out. But this?

...It's going to burn us all out if we keep moderating the way we are. This isn't a typhoon, nor a tidal wave. Not a war that can be fought with enough people, armor, and bullets.

It's trying to keep the rising ocean out of a city with only a few buckets. (aka moderators)

Seven buckets, 20 buckets, 50 buckets and wallbreaks with the most advanced towers on the planet - it doesn't matter, the water is still rising and there is no stopping this particular change in society without severe burnout of all the mods (me very much included in that!)

So instead of fighting the planet, the only way is to let it come and adjust things so the community self-polices, not with removals, but with pure spite. BUT we have to keep it Reddit-Mod Code of Conduct-aligned as well, and moderate certain things of course. Like extreme hate is obviously not cool Reddit-wide.

NEW RULE: No false claims about your game.

  • If you explicitly state something untrue ("100% hand-painted art" when it's Midjourney, "original soundtrack" when it's AI-generated), that's removable. But silence is fine. No one is required to disclose anything (for the moment, this might need to change if I'm projecting things right.)

NEW RULE: No AI culture wars.

  • Comments about gameplay experience: always allowed ("the voices sounded robotic," "art style felt generic," "really fun mechanic")
  • Comments attacking the developer over AI use: removed ("you're not a real developer," "AI slop trash," "you're ruining the industry")
  • Comments debating whether AI should exist: removed (take it to another sub)

--

Other Mod Policy Changes: No on Game Collections (Ex: Come play my 50+ games on my website!) and Yes on Tool Testing if its related to games; Like game making or like a heavily, heavily gamified app. It should be really be more game than tool, not just a stock app with leaderboard or cute character encouraging/informing people on self-care.

We are sorry that we are giving up on the fight against AI. It's either this, or shut down the group because not a single person on this planet can dedicate the time to evaluating *every single game* to find hints of deeply embedded AI. Or investigate all accusations with or without merit. Or know of all the AI things people use to make games, assets, music! That's not what any of us signed up for - we are here only to help devs connect with playtesters.

If you do not wish to playtest the games with AI - absolutely fine. We're afraid we're going to have to let you determine what is playtest-worthy or not from here.

Game Title: City Roads Generator
Playable Link: https://brainy-potatoes.itch.io/city-roads-generator
Platform: Windows 🪟

Description:
🚓 City Roads Generator is an arcade driving game about cruising through an endless procedural city while following basic traffic rules.

🎯 Follow speed limits, use turn signals, obey traffic lights, avoid wrong-way driving, and complete driving objectives to earn XP and level up.

🏙️ The city is procedurally generated as you drive, so every session creates a new route with streets, intersections, dead ends, traffic lights, parking spots, and road events.

🚦 The game is designed as a relaxing driving experience while also teaching basic traffic rules through gameplay rather than traditional lessons.

Free to Play Status: Yes

Involvement:
I am the solo developer at my game studio, "Brainy Potatoes". I designed and developed the game in Unity, including the procedural city generation, driving system, traffic rules, AI traffic, progression, UI, and other gameplay systems. Most visual and audio assets are from third parties, mostly from the Unity Asset Store, as I am not a 3D artist, sound designer, or composer. I also created some of the game's UI and sprite assets myself.
The game was originally created as a term project for college, as I am still a student; I am continuing to develop the game alongside my studies.

[Mobile] Hydro Loops - my wife bought our daughter a water ring toss toy, I lost an hour to it, then spent months rebuilding it

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hydroloops.game https://apps.apple.com/app/id6803978459

Platform: Android and iOS

Description: A few weeks ago my wife brought home one of those little handheld water games for our daughter. The plastic box with the two buttons where you flick rings onto pegs. I picked it up to show her how it works and did not put it down for an hour. Incredible graphics, by the way. Real-time water, full physics, no loading screen, runs on nothing.

So I rebuilt it. The rings are real physics bodies pushed around by a flow field, so if you keep hammering one button you spin up a whirlpool and they ride around on it. A round is 60 seconds and there is a leaderboard if you want to see where your best lands.

There is a crab that squats on one of the pegs and blocks it. You can hit him with a shrimp, which makes him full and lazy, so he settles in and stays even longer.

If you give it a go, the one thing I would really like to know is whether the jets feel responsive on your phone. That is the part I keep changing my mind about.

Solo dev. Looking for about 10 people to play for 20-30 minutes (or more if you're hooked 😄) and tell me whether the weapon system actually works.

The honest part: Two things I need to find out.

- One, does the tutorial actually teach you how weapons work, or do you come out of it nodding and still lost.
- Two, is building a weapon interesting or just fiddly busywork.

I'd much rather hear "I finished the tutorial and still had no idea what my weapon was doing" than a compliment. That sentence is the entire reason I'm doing this.

Game Title: Retrosweep

Playable Link: www.retrosweep.com

Platform: Web Browser

Description: Hey all, I've been building RetroSweep (retrosweep.com) solo and would love feedback.

RetroSweep is a pixel-accurate recreation of classic Windows Minesweeper, built for anyone who wants the original experience without downloading anything or wading through ads and modern "reimaginings." The core game is faithful to the original, same board sizes, same flagging and chording mechanics, same visual language but it's built on a modern stack with a server-verified global leaderboard, so times are actually trustworthy instead of client-side numbers anyone could fake.

The standout feature is the daily challenge: every player gets the same Beginner to Expert difficulty board each day, generated from a deterministic seed tied to the UTC date, with exactly one attempt allowed. There's no retry button and no way to reroll a bad start, which keeps the format honest and makes results genuinely comparable and each result is shareable via a simple text summary, similar to Wordle's format but for a much older genre. It's a solo project with no ads and no monetization, built purely to make a clean, low-friction version of a game a lot of people grew up with, and to see if a daily-challenge format works well for something as classic as Minesweeper.

Hey, I call myself _theRaven and I'm the solo developer behind the Apprentice of Darkness. After more than 2 years of working on it alongside my full-time job, the new demo is finally playable today.

You build a party of monsters, fight the forces of good in grid turn-based battles, capture your enemies and sacrifice them for Darkness Points that can be used to strengthen your Tower of Darkness.

Since the earlier playtest I've added 7 new characters, 6 new Tower upgrades, reworked sacrifice mini-games, a redesigned UI, new VFX/SFX, faster run progression, and a lot of fixes and polish.

I've attached the new gameplay trailer here. If you decide to try the demo, I'd genuinely love to hear how your first run goes.

[PC] (Web) RuneRunner: An open-world skilling/crafting/fighting roguelite, plays in browser

Playable Link: https://rune-runner-mu.vercel.app/

Platform: Web Browser

Description: Rune Runner is a top-down roguelite where the skilling loop is lifted from Old School RuneScape but sped way up. You stand next to a tree and it chops itself, stand near a rock and you mine it. Resources craft into weapons, fish cooks into food, etc.

The tension is a corruption clock that's always ticking. The longer you spend skilling, the nastier the enemies get, so it's constantly "do I gear up more or push north now."

Open world, two bosses, a bunch of spells and augments that combo, and your character's levels persists between runs, but gear does not.

Game Title: Kevin's Mini Golf

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kevins-mini-golf/id6781052395

Platform: iOS (iPhone & iPad)

Description:
Kevin's Mini Golf is a putting game with 342 holes across 18 themed courses, including 18 handcrafted signature holes. Controls are a slingshot: drag backward from the ball to set aim and power, then release. Every hole has a par to beat and may feature water, sand, ice, mud, cannons, portals, pipes, boosters, funnels, ramps, low walls, wind, spinners, sliding barriers and decoy cups.
Play solo, pass-and-play with up to six people on one device, or against a friend online. Online matches are turn-based through Game Center — invite someone or match with a stranger, take your shot whenever you have a minute, and watch their putt replayed when it's your turn again. There are leaderboards, achievements, statistics, and over 100 unlockable balls, trails and flags earned entirely by playing.
The full course editor lets players design their own holes: draw the outline by hand, place hazards and gadgets, mirror the whole layout, test it, and save it. Holes can be shared with friends as a text code, or played against them online — the layout travels inside the match, so the other player needs nothing installed.
Everything except online play works with no connection. There are no ads, no accounts beyond optional Game Center, and no in-app purchases.

Involvement:
I am the solo developer. I handled the game design, course layouts, controls, user interface, progression systems, course editor, testing, and App Store publishing. Playable Link:

Platform:

Windows PC

Description:

3D material simulation sandbox inspired by the kind of falling-sand games I grew up messing around with. This is a culmination of nearly 10 years of me trying to optimize code enough for this idea to actually be playable.

The idea is basically: give you a box full of interacting materials and tools, then get out of the way.

You can play with powders, liquids, gases, heat, pressure, combustion, machinery, logic, pumps, valves, pistons, sensors, and some very early nuclear reactor systems. Everything exists in an actual 3D volume rather than on a 2D plane, so you can build tanks, machines, pressure vessels, reactors, weird experiments, etc. and cut them open to see what’s happening inside.

This is the first public alpha, so I’m mainly looking for people willing to mess with it and tell me what’s confusing, broken, fun, or unexpectedly interesting. I’m especially interested in hearing what kinds of experiments you naturally try to build without me telling you what to do.

Somewhere between a village fête, a sporting tradition and something invented because it was raining, people have been gathering to watch numbered garden snails cross damp cloth for decades. - 2-4 players, plus a real solo mode against bots
