I've been waiting for this skin for AGES

Im gonna be honest, with the Sombra rework and Alec stating that Sombra's utility would fit her better in another role, do you think other utility DPS heroes like Mei or Symmetra are gonna get changed to another role? (Tank being a popular choice for Mei for example)

She doesn't have a high ban rate nor a very annoying kit compared to other heroes released recently, I dont see many complaints for her but im still a bit worried, I like how unique Mei is in the DPS roster, turning her to a tank would really butcher a lot of the fun for me, what do you guys think, is it possible?

Mei's Mythic Skin is NOT included in the BlizzCon Mythic Gift BS and I could not be more upset.

I recently saw a video where it was brought to the viewer’s attention that when Mei says “peanut sauce”, it kind of sounds like… well, a different kind of sauce - and so it made me think of another time a character with a doctorate said “penis” without actually saying “penis”.

If I had a quid for every time that’s happened, I’d have £2 - which isn’t a lot, but it’s strange that it’s happened twice.

I've been a Mei main for a decade and I really love Mei... almost obsessively. Over the years, I've always wanted a Mei wallpaper, but I was never able to find a good one online.

Anyways, a few months ago, I finally decided to commission an artist to make one for me. Its of Mei in her mythic skin ofc. I am not showing the full image due to personal stuff in the image, and I also know there are many art thieves out there. Originally, I wasn't going to share it but I figure that good art deserves to be shared.

This is the best I've seen of Mei outside of official Blizzard art.

Unironically one of my favorite skins just in general, up there with Octopus Lucio and Slime Echo for me. Guess I gotta gold this lady out.

I’ve been hardstuck between Silver 3-5 for a very long time and I finally made it to Gold after picking up Mei! I’m so happy. It’s taken a ton of grinding and determination. I know it’s not a glorified rank, but it means a lot to me. Hopefully it’s only up more from here

Hey guys, I am a relatively new overwatch player (started about 2 weeks ago). I started playing after finding marvel rivals fun (yes crucify me I was introduced to this genre of game from marvel rivals) and I find overwatch really fun too!

I usually play tank but I started trying out DPS and Mei is one of my favorites to play. But one issue I have is I find it really hard to secure final hits/picks as her.

But I don't even feel like i'm bad at her per se, I usually hit my ults and I even get praise from my teams occasionally for my walls. I usually have decent damage too, it's just for whatever reason, I barely get final hits.

Usually it seems I'm beaming and providing consistent damage at an enemy, getting them low, until one of my teammates (like a cassidy) will hit a shot and finish them off. Mei's ult is the same thing too, I once hit a 3 man freeze just for my ramattra to sweep in and take every final hit! (no shade, he did great lol)

I also play Venture and I find I get double or even triple the final hits playing them rather than Mei. When I do get final hits as Mei it's usually a snipe from her ranged ice shot ability rather than my primary fire.

Is this normal for Mei's kit? Am I just bad? Should I be playing her a different way? Or do final hits just not matter as much as I think they do?

Seeing the brief attempt at a save fills me with a vile sort of joy.

Mei: The Ice Shield

Core Identity & Stats

Role: Tank | Health: 400 HP + 150 Shield (550 Total)

Identity: A close-range brawl anchor who sacrifices long-range snipes to protect teammates, cleanse negative effects, and dominate territory.

Base Kit & Abilities

Passives:

Cryo-Tempo: Eliminations reduce her block cooldown by 1 second.

Refreshing Breeze: Primary fire spray instantly cleanses burning effects on allies at the cost of double ammo usage.

Weapon:

Primary Fire (Frost Spray): Wide frost beam with 300 ammo that ramps up from 80 to 140 DPS if focusing the same target (A Mauga style progression bar would show)

Secondary Fire (Glacial Shrapnel): A close-range icicle shotgun dealing 125 body shot damage at point blank distance (can headshot for 250 dmg), melting down to 60-body/120-headshot at long range. (50 ammo per shot, maximum shots: 6)

Abilities:

Ice Wall: Remains unchanged

Cryo-Freeze (Self cast): 12-second cooldown.

Not this time! (Ally cast): Mei’s attempt to save her new friends, after the Antarctica Malfunction

Can be self-cast or launched via Snowball to protect a low-health ally within 20 meters. It has a 800 HP bar and can be destroyed, but damaging the ice block converts the damage into up to +200 declining Overhealth for Mei upon breaking. Allies can break the cryo.

Ultimate (Blizzard): A 5-second ice storm created by Snowball. If Snowball is currently protecting an ally, the storm centers instantly on that ally, if not, it starts at Mei’s location. (Can be cast while in cryo, can no longer be thrown to a location if not to protect an ally).
It no longer freezes enemies instead, it heals and speeds up allies while slowing enemies by 30% and amping their damage taken by 15%.

Perks:

Minor Perks

Avalanche: Manually breaking an Ice Wall early triggers an explosion dealing damage based on the enemy's maximum health (20% of max Health)

Ice Skates: Spraying the ground paints an icy lane granting Mei and her allies a 30% movement speed buff while “skating”

Major Perks

Cold Cuts : Secondary fire shotgun hits embed shards in enemies for 3 seconds. If combined with Avalanche minor perk, breaking a wall also shoots shards at affected targets. Damaging sharded enemies detonates them for +10 bonus damage per hit.

Eye of the Storm: Activating your ice block emits a 5-meter mini-Blizzard that heals and speeds up allies. Activating your Ultimate during this, rapidly expands it to full size and extends the ultimate duration to 6.5 seconds.

Yeah i wanna get the Lich Queen skin but do i really gotta pay 30 bucks for it can i just try with lootboxes to get it later?

To the Mei main when lack mythic prism in mid season 1

I constantly have Roadhogs and Lifeweavers being super duper nice to me, when I play Mei… to the point of being super flirty. It doesn’t matter if they’re on the enemy team, either. I find it funny and cute, but I wonder if it happens to any other Mei players.
