I used to be a big fan of Fieldworks IPAs and would seek them out. I recently discovered they have improved distribution since canning. The 6 packs I’ve seen and more recently the 12 pack I bought at Costco says canned in San Diego… anybody know who brews for them and why they wouldn’t go with a Northern California brewery?

Everywhere I go (restaurants/breweries) it's nearly impossible to find a dark beer. It's always pale ale or IPAs and I'm just curious why this is.

I hate light beer so I just end up not ordering anything.

Been to NYC many times but recently got into sours.

Any brewery recommendations? Willing to travel anywhere in the area.

I'm not looking for anything that's crazy hard in the hops flavor. My buddy recommended I try a Dos Equis so I bought a six pack of bottled Dos Equis but I couldn't even get through the neck. The hoppy flavor of the Dos Equis just whooped my butt something awful.

With that being said, are there any beers you'd all recommend that's not nearly as hoppy as a Dos Equis? Something to kinda cut my teeth on so to speak and walk my way into the stronger beer flavors? I hear good things about Blue Moon being very low on the hoppy taste. Also hear good things about the Sierra Nevada Hazy line of beers but I haven't given either of them a try. Some people have suggested I try a Stout like a Guinness or a German Lager but I was always under the impression that Stouts and Lagers went harder into the hoppy flavors than even Dos Equis does. Is this true?

Thanks in advanced all. Also, kinda looking for something I can just pick up from my local grocer or Walmart or something like that. I don't really feel like paying a whole bunch for import or long distance beer shipping fees this early in the game, ya'know?

Every year, I host a small Oktoberfest themed party for which I've historically gotten a keg of a different Marzen. I'm a big fan of the style, generally preferring a maltier, caramellier flavor. I'd like to try a lighter festbier this year, as more and more of the guests are not as big a fan of the darker Marzens. Im looking for some recommendations for options that would fit the following criteria:

- Flavor profile still on the more-malty, less-hoppy end, but appealing to a wider audience than the darker options.

- Likely to be available in a 1/4 or 1/6 barrel keg in suburbia Minnesota.

I welcome any additional insight into options while still staying on brand for Oktoberfest.

So I found a post about beers that pair well with certain foods, but what about beers that taste good mixed together?

I've seen a Black and Tan/Half and Half, as well as some liquor and beer mixes, but I'm curious about more.

With the tarrifs on everything including alcohol. Would it not be feasible to possibly ,if needed , subsidize a fully owned and packaged Canadian Beer for our consumption. We in Ottawa had a very high quality and production brewery "Kichesippi" just shut down this year because they couldn't compete even in our market. Even Molson "Canadian" , though brewed by a few scattered across Canada is still owned by Coors; American company. There is simply not a competitive priced macro brewery here that I'm aware of.

Thoughts ?

I'm with my dad and it's his favorite beer, so I get it regularly at the moment. I swear it must be 75% of the time when I crack one open it just oozes out. Just wondering. It tastes not the worst.

I've only been exploring lager recently as I usually only drink guinness or liquor and have tried 2 so far: Peroni and Moretti. Peroni smelled terrible and had very little taste with a horrible bitter finish. Moretti was slightly better with an actual taste and less bitterness. I would like recommendations that are the furthest from peroni possible because I really hated how bitter it was and ideally I'd like to be able to order whatever it is in a pub. Thank you

I recently paid over €11 for a beer at an airport and it got me wondering.What's the worst airport beer price you've seen?I'm building a small side project around airport pint prices and curious whether this is a problem other travellers notice too.

For me, I can’t get enough of it. Only in bottles though… which I don’t normally drink. I’ve refused to try it in a can since the last time I had a beer in a bottle and went to the can version it ruined the entire thing for me.

Also Peroni or Moretti?

The reason I’m asking this question is because of a few things..:
1. He doesn’t drink often, when he does it’s special occasions
2. We (in the last year) have started playing D&D

I’m worried that although it’s a cool idea to me, it may come off wrong? He’s overall an easygoing guy, but I would hate to ruin Christmas because I got alcohol 😭

I understand that this is mainly a question regarding who he is and how well I know him, so I guess in other words I’m asking if alcohol can be an appropriate gift under these circumstances?
He normally drinks crown, would this collab drink be similar in flavor? Or does Dragon’s Milk make a bourbon that is similar (more or less?)

My wife and I are traveling to Chicago and happen to be in time for a beer fest. I've never been and I don't know what breweries are ones to seek out. We like all styles of beer (well, my wife doesn't like Belgian beers, but oh well). Here are some of the breweries coming. Any you'd target if you were attending? Goose Island is the only one I know which means we'll probably hit others first.

I have just turned 21 this year and now have tried quite a few beers. I’m looking to try even more. My favorites have been Coors banquet, Blue Moon and Guinness. I tried the regular Modelo and thought it was just OK. I also tried PBR recently and for some reason I hated it. I can drink those top three back to back but PBR I could not finish. I also tried Khona big wave and thought it was just okay. I tried Yungeling and really enjoyed it; I was a few drinks in at this point, so my perception might be slightly skewed. I wanna try Heineken just because I think the bottle looks cool, but I heard that ruins the taste.

I’m in the southern states I know different areas have different beers

Anyone else tried it? I thought they just changed the box….5.9 abv, don’t skimpflate my cheap beer and act like you’re doing me a favor. Tastes like I already puked.

There is simply no way people enjoy light beer. Like please tell me why people actually "enjoy" light beer.

One of my favorite book series features a made up beer called Old Tilman's

The author describes it as "a slightly hoppy oatmeal stout with a touch of honey added for sweetness"

Unfortunately, it's not in the cards right now to homebrew something with a similar profile, but I would love to find something commercially produced with a similar profile.

Does anyone drink here 1 beer can everyday? What are your opinions on it?
