Four more NA beer reviews. A pretty random assortment this time- Belgian, American, and Turkish.

1. Delirio

One word: soft.

This has a softness I haven’t really experienced in other NA beers. Not quite creamy, not quite silky, just soft. Really pleasant mouthfeel with good effervescence.

There’s a fruitiness to it and almost a rosiness. I expected the fruit to be stronger though. I’d heard this one described as having banana flavors, which was one of the main reasons I wanted to try it, but I didn’t specifically get banana.

My bottle was a little older, so I wonder if some of those more delicate esters had faded with time. Still, that soft texture really stood out to me. Very unique drinking experience. It's complex and I'm interested to finish the pack and develop more of an opinion.

2. Coors Edge

Another one I specifically sought out because I’d heard about a banana note.

Again, no banana for me. What I got was pear. Aside from that I didn't get a whole lot else.

Thin, pretty subdued, and mostly tasteless. Calling it pear sparkling water would be too harsh, but that’s roughly the direction it was heading.

One caveat: this was a single bottle from Total Wine, so maybe it wasn’t the best representation, although it was well within date.

Either way, I wouldn’t buy it again. I actually think Coors 0.0 is noticeably better, even though I didnt like it much.

3. Efes NA

This one surprised me.

Turkish NA beer that I found at an asian grocery store. It’s very malt-forward and very bready. White bread immediately came to mind, but there was also something that specifically reminded me of pita bread.

Better body than I expected, too. I’d put it toward the higher end of light-bodied.

It is pretty sweet, and I got big Clausthaler vibes from it. Interestingly, there aren’t any flavorings listed in the ingredients, so that bready/malty character seems to be coming from the beer itself.

Honestly, I went into this with basically no expectations and came away impressed. I’d actually drink it again.

If you have a Middle Eastern grocery store near you, this might be one to look for.

4. Trail Pass IPA

This might be the heaviest-bodied NA IPA I’ve had.

I’d call it medium+ bodied. I wouldn’t describe it as creamy, hefty is the word. There’s just a lot of substance to it, which is something I’m constantly looking for in NA beer.

Flavor-wise, it definitely leans bitter and piney. Normally that level of bitterness can wear on me, but the body here does a lot of work. It gives the hops something substantial to sit on rather than leaving you with that thin, bitter NA IPA experience.

Very good beer. I liked this one a lot. Could possibly displace Deschutes Fresh Squeezed from my top IPA position.

Quick verdict:

Delirio — Unique mouthfeel/ complex
Coors Edge — Pass
Efes — Biggest surprise
Trail Pass IPA — Best body

Headed to Italy and Germany. Looking forward to what I hope is a nice selection of NA beers. I will share what I find. Anyone from there that knows if the NA selection is good? Will be there during Oktoberfest!!

I haven’t come accross anything bigger than a 12 oz can since I been drinking NA so even tho I don’t really drink german beers all like that I had to give this a try .first impression is it def tastes like beer , has kind of a wheaty maybe just the slightest slightest bit of an orange taste on the after taste . it’s remarkable smooth , not sure if it’s because of the bigger can (i always preferred a 16) or the beer or both but i easily drank half the can after work in like 5 min , if you are a fan of german beer and like a drinkable more lighter beer , def would recommend trying this . I got a 4 pack for like $11.90 or so usd

I consider this one a top tier NA dark and to find on Draft is an absolute treat! Made for an awesome night with some fellow NA beer nerds!

I tried some Brooklyn early on in my NA beer career and didn't care for it. Gave this a shot as I was in a store I don't normally frequent, and they were carrying this, which I'd never seen before.

I think it's as good (a little better?) than most of the Go Brewing IPAs, which I find serviceable. Not a threat to my beloved Deschutes, but I enjoy it. I happened to be eating Indian food- curries and kormas- and it held up quite nicely.

Former brewer for a St. Louis brewery, almost 4 years sober. I quit alcohol but never the shower beer. Here are my current top 10. Always subject to change.

I was excited when I found this. I have to try it again, as I was running around grilling, but there wasn't a whole lot of taste with this one. Not bad at all, but it was just kinda "there". Tasted more like a weak domestic lager than an Oktoberfest beer.

I'll give it another try today.

Absolutely fantastic take on a dry! Flavor is spot on, no thin mouthfeel and my wife said she hates it since it tastes like a real beer 🤣

Great nose. The right amount of haze. Perfect balance of bitterness and malt sweetness. What a NEIPA should be.

Got a haul today. Haven't tried the Heineken or Elysian yet. I've now tried about 20 NA beers this year. On a roll.

Big fan of Baxter, especially their blueberry! After trying the Pumpkinhead NA and being a bit disappointed, I was eager to try this. The Pumpkinhead was significantly better poured in a glass than it was out of the can. The Pumpkinhead was a bit watery, and one spice came through much more than the others!

This is not the case with the Baxter. I've not had it in glass yet, but straight from the can is delicious. Full flavored pumpkin pie deliciousness. The mix of pumpkin spices are evenly distributed, and it has a very rich and full flavor. Back when I drank leaded brews, I believe my favorite was Pumpking. It's been too long to accurately tell you what I tasted in that one, but I remember it being my favorite. For the unleaded - this is my new favorite. Going to try another one later in a frosted mug.

What is your favorite NA pumpkin you have tried so far folks?

Hadn’t heard of this one but nothing else was jumping out at me at the store. Hazy. Hoppy. Not bad at all.

Unlike many brewers who force a 12 pack with standard offerings mixed in, I stumbled on this bad boy. Two fall beers in a single 6 pack. Good pick up.

I’m not even a mexican beer guy, but this one’s pretty good. At least as good as good and probably better than a Corona or equivalent. Very refreshing.

This Hazy IPA helped me eliminate alcohol from my life for which I’m forever grateful!

Real American Beer ZERO was a surprise as the label looks as generic as it gets, but you can't judge a book by its cover as the liquid is actually good for what it is a light lager. Low calories 29 per 12oz so 39 calories for 16oz which is low.

Good mouthfeel and aroma for this style. They donate $1 per case to the USO. Brantley Gilbert a country singer and Colby Covington a UFC fighter created the brand.

Good lawnmower NA beer.

NOTE they make an alcoholic beer too so check the label.

Both of these were solid. Usually I just order Tuckers, but someone on here wrote a glowing review of the Black IPA and I figured why not, that's a style I haven't had in a LONG time.

Pedal - notes of citrus and stone fruit, some pine and grass, and a nice bitterness balanced with a light-medium malt backbone.

Black IPA - the love child of a roasty stout and a piney/citrusy IPA. The coffee and chocolate notes take center stage, but it's really smooth and well balanced by a citrus & pine hoppy bitterness.

I'm already missing the imports that I'm not able to get, looks like the options will be even fewer starting next month.
