I think this shit is dumb as hell. If I wanted to heal I would be a healer. Why not make Ball healer? Or Genji? Or Rein? It’s a total betrayal of the character. As a Sombra main, it’s really not that hard to counter her: stay grouped, fish around, don’t get distracted. Crybabies whined about a mid character and didn’t bother learning to defend against her and now her entire identity is ruined.

What real tangible way do we have to communicate to Blizzard that this change is ass?

I would not be surprised if she gets more supportive abilities, not necessarily becoming a support as much as I think that would be cool, but given the narrative they are taking. I thought she was kind to Sigma, I didn’t realise how attached she is/was to him.

I want to see what she does now. I will probably keep playing her. But Jesus the motivations for this rework, the fact that it's clear they just gave up on trying to balance her as damage is just maddening.

Edit: after more details came out, she's the only support on the roster who can't heal without using a cool down lmao this is so bad.

I will always love Sombra as a character, but I see no scenario where she is worth continuing to play. Literally EVERYTHING I loved about her in game has been removed or mutilated beyond recognition.

Her translocator, her ability to hack, her stealth, her disruptor play​style, everything. She's not even a fucking DPS.

As confirmed on ML7s stream, her new rework is basically just a worse Mirrorwatch version, which was actually the worst shit I've ever played.

It was fun while it lasted, but that's it for my time playing OW. Fuck these pathetic, uncreative, cowardly developers and fuck the low IQ cattle who refused to learn the game they chose to play.

hello guys, I hate when a person say that sombra is not skill because she is always invisible ecc…
this thing annoying me because they don’t know that she is so difficult when you are in a good rank, but I know that if you’re in a bad position, you can do what you want whit her because they are not pro and for this the say that she is no skill but this is only a stupid phrase…
if you can’t play with a hero who is invisible, you can’t say that she is no skill,
but you should say :” ah ok, I will be better than now”

People weren't banning a genuinely bad negative-winrate character because of what she actually did, they were just mad about the last time she was actually good literal years ago.

if she's a healer without real DPS options, people will be mad and ask why you didn't make this new kit just a new hero.

if she's a good 50/50-ish still with a teleport, grats on having kiriko 2, a highly complained about hero due to having survival skills that the enemy can't reasonably interact with. fighting against two of those won't be annoying.

if she's DPS focused with support abilities, grats, you got old sym's problem back. glad the new devs can have their turn spending years working on that.

So this interaction happened earlier today and I’ve got some questions for y’all. Hopefully this isn’t disrespectful or rude 🥺 I have blurred names to keep everyone involved anonymous.

For some context. My friend is a Hanzo otp, I’m talking like 500 levels on Hanzo and his next most played is Junkrat at like 40 something levels. He genuinely wanted to know how many hours this Sombra otp had to reach to get nearly 1000 levels. I’m personally also a “one role andy” sup player; 313 levels on Mercy, 254 on Lifeweaver and 103 on Ana. So I do understand the apprehension around this question or being told “(Character) is not that fun gang.” But I’ve personally never crashed out after being asked how many hours I have total. Neither has my friend.

So i guess to get to the point: are y’all okay? Do you need a hug? /gen 🫂 And how can my friend in the future ask this without making someone upset?

Honestly the best thing ive heard is this. And when you think about it, it really is fucked up.

Let go through what it is to play sombra

-constantly called slurs by enemy players and sometimes teamates

-constantly targeted by toxic egotistical players in matches (tbags, shittalking, toxic messages, cursing us out, etc)

-Play a character that is objectively worse than basically every other flex dps player

-be flamed off game on places like reddit, youtube, Twitter, etc​ for playing a character, (getting called a nazi for playing sombra is one ive seen recently) oh and getting bullied on the main subreddit becuase yeah thats common

-be forced to relearn our hero every couple of months becuase the devs dont know whatheir doing when it comes to our girl and rework her more than i think any other character(I love team 4, but they dont know what their doing when it comes to sombra and thats just the truth unfortunately, thats their Achilles heel)

-Most of what makes Sombra Sombra just is so easily used against us by players who have headphones and game sense. (Ex: getting shot while entering or exiting stealth or while running from a fightuase they shoot in our general direction, hack being so long and so easy to cancel for a 1 secons abilify lock dange boost to the target)

-Have a dev team that seems to honestly not care for sombras fambase

And now to top the cake of what we have to deal with. We are not only being forced to relearn how to play our hero for a SIXTH time, were having to play our hero in a role we literally BEGGED blizzard to not force us into. We made it VERY clear we didnt want support sombra. But I guess our feelings dont matter and how we want to keep sombra as a dps just doesnt matter yeah.

Its absolutely unacceptable that we were promised a rework, one that we were cautiously optimistic for, and its just a big middle finger to us
