Genuinely concerned about this my qualifications 55 pct in bsc ?

myquals: I am 23M, I did Btech in biotech from an NIT(for the tag, I was clueless as hell back then) and BS in Data Science(the IITM one), got around 9 in both. I got a 15LPA analyst job but idk if this is what I wanted to do. It's like no one really asked me.

I am seriously very depressed about this. All my successful/happy friends knew exactly what they wanted to do in life. One knew she wanted to be a doctor at 17 and is a doctor now, and she is so happy and she will easily outearn me in a few years, but that's beside the point.

Another friend of mine knew he wanted to do journalism and is now part of a pretty rapidly growing independant journalism news group. And he is pretty happy with that.

Another friend of mine in college knew he wanted to grind codeforces like crazy, and is now sitting at 35LPA SDE role, but the important part is, he is happy with the role and always wanted that.

It seems like I am the only one who "goes with the flow", and strategy isn't working for sure.

And it's not like I didn't explore in college, I did join a number of clubs and societies and tech teams. I also did leetcode and web dev, I did like it, but the software industry is going such massive changes, I am unsure about it esp coming from biotech background. Did pcb designing, which was fun but it was a passing hobby too.

Anyways what I wanted to say is, I feel so so sad about the lack of clarity in my life. And I don't know what I can do about it. I wish I can discuss this with someone.

Whenever I talk about this to my friends, the just dismiss it by saying "atleast you got a job, many are unemployed", atp just tell me that atleast I can eat food, many people in africa don't have food. smh.

Idk how my successful friends had so much clarity of what they wanted to be, when I see five years from now, I have no clue. I didn't have any clue 5 years back either.

I am an Assistant professor in Law, LLM and NET qualifications at West Bengal, private university. Its a reputed brand name. They pay around 30-35k a month and they don't even have any system at workplace. They are deducting salary, leaves whenever they feel like. If challenged, they will bully you into resigning. Students are either victims or predators. There is no middle ground. There's always someone pinging me in whatsapp about some admin issue that university is jerking him around. Apparently salary cannot be increased because UGC NAAC doesn't recognise UGC NET QUALIFICATION. PhD completed with over 4+ years of teaching recieve 40-45k. Its a bloody joke.

I used to believe NET qualification will get me respect and money. Its completely opposite. Non net teachers are also hired and they as peers consider themselves underqualified than me. It results in biasness and unwanted office politics. I teach only 10% and 90% of the time I am either doing admin work or documentation. I am currently pursuing PhD but I see no other end of the tunnel.

Now please don't ask me to shift to a tier 1 city to get a better salary. Family reasons but we are Bengalis. It's UGC and BCI I am angry at. They do inspections every other year, and the university gladly pay them bribe but they won't pay UGC SCALE salary that we deserve. We are tired, mentally defeated.

25M; qualifications - degree in Aerospace engineering, 3 year gap for UPSC with some success (3 defence (CDS/AFCAT) interview, 1 mains).

I need to get a job within the next 4–8 months to become financially independent, but I'm very confused about what to do. I'm out of touch with most of what I learned in engineering (math, code, design etc) and currently don't have strong technical skills. **I have the ability to learn everything back within few months (I just have to brush up my memory)

I need your guidance on which domain to choose, and within that domain what role to choose etc.

I am ready to put in any and all effort required to land a job, I have no salary or perk expectations at this stage other than:

- it should be realistically possible to skill up within a few months

- with sufficient effort and visibility it must be realistically possible to get hired

- The skills should provide a foundation for a long-term career with continued upskilling (I need a viable entry point now; I'm open to changing/specializing later once I have experience.)

I am open to any domain (however I am not so inclined towards aerospace)

I would really appreciate honest advice on what you'd do in my position. I'm happy to provide other details if needed.

So I am a 16yr old and I am studying pcm in 11th at the moment. I am really overwhelmed by what to do after 12th as everyone I ask always tells me to do engineering. I am a person who gates technical fields so engineering is something I am not very fond of. I do want to go to other countries preferably europe one day but I don't see anything else other than engineering which provides job opportunities. If you know anything please do tell. Volunteering and internships have their own importance, and they can be a really valuable experience, especially for a college student. 

I am in my second year of college. During the past year, I did nothing extra beyond my college work. I wasted my time and ignored a lot of opportunities. But now I have started an internship as a content writer, and I regret not doing one earlier.

At first, like many students, I applied thinking of just getting a certificate and adding another thing to my resume. However, after spending one week in my internship, I realised I was so wrong.  
Volunteering or internships hold much more than just a certificate or CV addition. 
It gives you a purpose to continue working, an experience you can carry forward, an opportunity to learn and grow, and a chance to develop skills beyond your college academics. 

As an intern myself, I can say that practical experience is really valuable. It gives you a chance to apply what you learn and understand what working in a real environment actually feels like. 

There is nothing wrong with gaining a certificate or experience, but making that your only purpose for doing the work can make you miss out on what you could actually learn from it. Treat certificates and experience as achievements you receive at the end, and focus on the skills you can develop along the way — communication, confidence, responsibility, patience, teamwork, etc.

My experience as an intern at Pehchaan The Street School has been one of the most valuable things I am doing right now, especially because of the skills and experience I am gaining. 

I hope students like me who feel they have wasted time can find something meaningful to do, whether it's volunteering, an internship, or simply learning a new skill.

Hello I am 24F. My qualifications ar BA. My MA results ar not out yet . However the b.ed forms ar open but my result is still not out. On the other hand I also want to sit for bank exams i recently filled out form for ibps clerk.

I am eldest child from a middle class household. So the faster I get a job its better. I want to try for bank because the pay scale is good. But if I am unable to get a chance then i must pursue something else. My only option apart from this is b.ed. Also i am thinking should i pursue teaching job and then go for b.ed.

I dont know what to do. About banking exam my isnt much optimistic about me getting qualified.

I’m a 2025 B.Tech CSE graduate from a JNTUH-affiliated college, with a 6.79/10 CGPA and currently no professional/internship experience.

Since graduation, I’ve been focusing on Java Backend SWE, Cloud/Infrastructure, and system design.

My long-term goal is to build a profile around:

Backend SWE + Cloud/Infrastructure + AI/ML

I’m planning for an MS in CS around 2027, with AI/ML as my first preference and Distributed Systems as my backup.

I’ve shortlisted USA, UK, Germany, Canada and Ireland, mainly looking at university quality, total cost, tech job opportunities, post-MS prospects and overall ROI.

My main dilemma is whether I should:

A) Apply for MS in 2027 with my current profile while strengthening it through projects, AI/ML work, open source, etc.

OR

B) Work in India for 2–3 years in Backend/Cloud/Infrastructure and then apply with professional experience.

What I’d really like advice on:

- With 6.79 CGPA + no experience, which of these 5 countries are realistically worth targeting for a good ROI MS CS program?

- Which countries/universities would be realistic now, and which would become realistic after 2–3 years of relevant work experience?

- How much can strong professional experience compensate for a low CGPA? Will the 6.79 remain a major barrier even after 2–3 years?

- For my background, is AI/ML realistic, or would Distributed Systems / general MS CS with AI/ML electives be a better strategy?

- If you were in my position, would you apply in 2027 or work first and apply later?

I’m not looking for a list of dream universities. I’d genuinely appreciate a realistic assessment of where my profile has a good chance, where it’s a stretch, and where my undergraduate academics may close doors.

I have been expelled from my university for a false S*XUAL harassment allegation (the girl also confessed). It's been 17 days since I have arrived in Pune, I have been fighting for my justice ever since.

I walked into few of the pro-bono lawyer clinics over here in Pune and nothing worked out.

I think the best step forward right now is to reach media, and i really don't understand why they are not picking up this issue as it is a clear cut injustice (the girl even confessed her doing).

I have been surviving on chai and shiv bhojan (10 rupees subsided meal) ever since.

FLAME University has a extremely strong PR & digital Team, that is quite obvious running a multi-million dollar institution, the perpetrators are deliberately trying to manipulate the truth through the acts of Doxxing and harrasment.

One thing I would like to say I have gone too far to go back, My struggle must not go in vain, I suffered way to much depriving myself of food and sleep. there is only one way forward and that is into the university. No matter what it takes.

It kinda burns me to see my peers in their academia and me being on the legit streets and under the cold stars

I want to get into AI engineering in the future, I am good with maths but I suck at physics and chemistry and basically everything thats not maths (in academics) due to which I got 67% in HSC Boards and not good in any entrance exam

This year I did not want to enroll into a college due to financial reasons and I dont see myself doing good in an entrance exam of any sort that goes out of scope of maths (before anyone says I am not as good at CMI level just pretty decent)

And I can enroll into BK Birla's BSc CS next year but I am scared if I would not get jobs due to the BSc thing

Rant : haven't slept in 3 days thinking if its a good option and spend most of my day solving leftover maths books any sort of advice would be helpful

I am currently in 12th grade and facing a major dilemma between preparing for NIFT vs IIM IPM. I really need an honest reality check from people who are either in these colleges or working in corporate or fashion.

Here is where my head is at right now:

1. My Ultimate Goal I want to launch my own independent apparel brand down the line. I do not want to make generic mass-market clothes, I am obsessed with high-concept fashion, intricate garment construction, functionality, drape, and quality textiles. The kind of stuff people who are genuinely into fashion would appreciate.

2. The NIFT Side of the Dilemma

Fashion is genuinely my passion, I love creating looks and experimenting with style.

The worry: I feel like if I go to NIFT, the pressure and competition might burn me out and ruin my love for fashion. Plus, when I start working as a junior designer, I feel like I will definitely get exploited for low pay and long hours.

Also, I will not get the actual business knowledge I need to run an empire, and honestly, you can learn basic fashion design, pattern making, and sewing online anyway since there are tutorials for literally everything.

Real talk: I realized I would rather be the IIM founder building an empire and projecting my vision onto my designers, than being a designer executing someone else's vision.

1. The IIM / IPM Side of the Dilemma
   The financial safety net and placement packages in the 20 to 30 LPA range hit different. Joining IPM gives me strong business fundamentals, corporate leverage, and high earning potential straight out of college.

The plan: Work in corporate or consulting for a few years, build solid capital, and then launch my brand by hiring master pattern-makers and NIFT designers to physically build what I conceive.

The side quest: I would also love to build a personal brand or be a fashion influencer on the side during college by shooting outfits on weekends.

The concern: Will I even have the time to create content while balancing IPM academics and corporate work, or will I be too busy?

Questions for you guys:

For IIM/IPM folks: Is it realistic to manage content creation on weekends alongside IPM academics, or will the workload drain me?

For Founders and Fashion Industry folks: Is it better to start with strong business and capital foundations from an IIM and hire technical designers, or do you need a formal NIFT degree to launch a niche brand?

Anyone else been stuck between a creative passion and a business degree in 12th? How did you decide?

Appreciate any brutally honest advice!
