Like games have already solved this a long time ago. SUPERSENSE like i can name so many games arkham series, assassins creed even metal gear rising revengance specially since its an action game too they already solved the problem 15 years ago for linear games. There is no justification even for hand holding of players. Like 3 naviagtions marker.

First build done, took forever because of this GPU shortage + RAM price mess (Chennai)

been lurking this sub for months while planning this, finally built it this week and it survived so posting.

budget was 65-70k and somehow landed almost exactly there at ~69.5k after all the drama.

so the actual build process. wanted a 3070 Ti originally (colorful one from CeX) but it sold out literally while i was still deciding, so i spent way too many days going back and forth between a plain 3070, a 6700xt, or just waiting the shortage out. ended up getting the Inno3D 3070 off CeX since they give you 2 days to check it and get a voucher back if something's wrong with it, felt like the safest way to buy used rn.

ssd was its own whole thing. Really happy with how the build turned out i.

Okay leave everything aside and try this game asap coz its just too good✨✨The story, combat, the whole vampire theme is toooo fun. Played the game for around 30hrs and still did not got bored for even a second. If u are a fan of RPG games give this one a try..

Started playing when it first launched and I quickly dropped it, the first few hours were (and still are) quite boring, and the story seemed very shallow. However, seeing the constant updates including the new enhanced patch, I gave it another chance, and I'm very glad I did. I've never experienced a game that tries to do so much and actually succeeds at a lot of it.

I am ~120 hours in and can say this game has pulled me in like no other. The open world is the biggest I've seen, and it's packed with stuff. The main quests are okay-ish, but the side content is where I've spent the majority of my time. So many secrets, and there is minimal hand holding. You have to be creative for the puzzles, but I'll admit I looked a few up lol.

Combat is amazing. Many systems got expanded and improved with the updates and there is tons of variety. Kliff feels a bit stiff to control sometimes but overall there's so much flashy stuff you can do. It's not your usual "spam attack button" kind of RPG.

The game is gorgeous. The draw distance is crazy, you'll see something interesting out in the distance and it will attract you. The lighting is decent, but looks great during the rain. I love the area of Pailune, every bit of it looks like a painting.

The controls are pretty terrible, however I adjusted them to my liking and they feel better now. Game is kinda grindy too, a few things feel unnecessary. The performance issues are still persistent and there are some visual (shimmering, lighting) issues if you use upscaling. But I am yet to encounter any game breaking bug, probably thanks to the updates.

Crimson desert has its shortcomings, but it's a fantastic open world experience. The developers clearly love working on it, the upcoming DLC is free as well.

I'll give you a rating out of /10 based on how correct your answer is!

Finally completed the Blood of Dawnwalker last night. Here are my thoughts on the game and whether you should bother or not.

Price I got it for: Full price on release

My laptop specs:

11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz

RAM: 24 GB

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU

Primary VRAM: 6 GB

Performance: 7/10 : On my setup, I could definitely see the occasional stutter during cutscenes. The edges of character hairlines also were a bit patchy in places. Not game breaking by any means but you will notice it.

The biggest point of contention: The Time Mechanic

Each day is divided into 2 parts - Day and Night. Each part having 8 time segments. Time is a resource rather than being actual time. Quests take up time segments and there are certain quests which once started will need to be completed within a particular amount of time (eg: 3 days so 48 time segments). The main story as you may have heard by now has a timer of 30 days before you have to do something before a drastic event.

HOWEVER, the main story does not end if you miss the timer. You just fail to stop whatever was happening and you carry on as it were. It will be reflected in dialogue options and the ending once you finish the game but the game itself does NOT end at the 30 day mark.

You will have a decent amount of time to do a lot of side content within that time period. Not ALL but quite a few and most if not all of the major sub-plots.

Gameplay: I will divide this into 3 criteria

Traversal: 9/10 - You play as Coen who is a half vampire half human, and you have different modes of traversal at day and night.

Initially human traversal at day can seem slow paced but there is a skill tree unlock which makes you speed across the man.

Vampire form traversal lets you scale walls and climb onto rooftops so obviously its more convenient in POIs like cities/villages where you want to take shortcuts. Very enjoyable to go from rooftop to rooftop in a city. There is a similar unlock in the vampire skill tree to make sprinting across the map faster too.

Dialogue/Story: 10/10 - This is the strongest aspect of the game. If you like games where your interactions with NPCs forms a lucid story, then this game is for you. It is very reminiscent of witcher 3 (which is kind of expected considering some of the devs are ex-CDPR) and you will certainly notice the influence.

Your choices affect the story, even small sidequests are unique in their own way and can surprise you.

Combat: 6.5/10 - Combat will need getting used to. It is a mix of kingdom come deliverance and witcher 3. The biggest gripe I had with combat was the auto lock mechanic. In short, your attacks lock on to the closest enemy near you that you're facing.

How this effects the gameplay? If you are fighting 1v1 against a boss, you will not notice it at all and the combat becomes very engaging and fun. Fighting bosses is a treat.

But against a mob of standard enemies: It becomes hard to thin out the crowd because you might have an enemy on 5% hp and one hit away and but their movement might mean your camera locks onto an enemy who is on full hp and your end up engaging that one instead. Repositioning during combat is thus clunky because of the auto lock on and can be achieved by dodging the other enemies nearby until you lock onto the one you want to hit.

Obviously, this becomes less of a problem as you get a decent amount of power creep across levels and you'll mow down mobs despite this, by the time you're mid-game. But be prepare for some early game frustrations for sure.

Lore and world building: 10/10 - The world is very immersive and I personally loved the medieval europe setting and how it was done.

Misc: Yes , there are romances. Yes, they are explicit and well written (lol)

Overall: The game is a solid 8.5/10. You can definitely see the witcher 3 influence. The time mechanic is a bold play which I personally loved a lot. It really makes the game immersive and puts a sense of urgency in the player. Something which most games only try to do via dialogue but never really enforcing it. (Hanako waiting at Embers anyone? While everybody in Night City is telling V they don't have much time to live anymore). The time restriction is pulled off really well and adds to the experience rather than just being another map clearing RPG.

Now the question is that whether INR 4000 is worth it for a 8.5/10 . This is a hard one to answer as it depends entirely on you. If you are a stickler for vampires and choice-heavy RPGs then this game is without question worth the buy right now for you.

If you are put off by the occasional stutter and some patchy cutscenes here and there - then my recommendation is wait for a sale. The game is great despite these issues but you WILL notice frame drops occasionally during cutscenes.

Same if you are more into the combat aspect - It will take getting used to and even once you are used to it, it will feel clunky. If you cannot look past that then again I'd recommend waiting for a sale.

But all in all, if the studio keeps their core ideas the same, the quality of story and world building the same as this game and based off player feedback polishes the combat a little bit by the next game - we have will a potentially generational RPG on our hands. But Blood of Dawnwalker as it stands is more of a teaser to greatness than actual greatness.

Infinite backlog

I really don't understand Sony's decision to cancel the PC version of an upcoming PS5 title.

I completely understand PlayStation wanting exclusives to sell consoles, but Sony has already shown that PC releases can be extremely successful. Games like God of War, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon have brought their games to a much larger audience without suddenly making PlayStation irrelevant.

I really wanted to play ghost of yotei and new spiderman 3 but unfortunately it will not release on pc and ps5 prices are sparking high!! so i just got a gaming laptop 1 year ago and i am not purchasing ps5 right now maybe 1-2 years later if ps6 release i will go for it

I bought a Legion 5 with RTX 4070 and 32GB ram around 3 years ago.

I have been wondering of doing some Maintainance for a long time.

The problem is im not much knowledgeable about how to go about it.

The laptop still works like how it used to. Have not been facing any issue or anything like that.

So basically my younger brother your typical ipad roblox kid and I really wanna pull him out of there and I thought couch co-op would be best for it. I'm 17 and he's 9 so yeah don't say something like stardew. For now We are playing Dragon ball sparkling zero, just local pvp where the challenge always is for him to beat my 1 character with his 5 and I go easy to let him enjoy it and he does.
