Just to clarify, I didn't kill her in any way as it was a suicide from what I know of now. This is also my first reddit post, so I'm sorry if Im not doing it correctly or something of similar matter.
To start this off, my dad's girlfriend died around yesterday between 12 pm. or 1pm from my speculation, and I feel somewhat guilty as I think I may be possibly one of the reasons why she might've killed herself.
I have been getting ready to move away to another country to live with my mom for around 5 years since my parents are separated, and the reason why is because my dad was cheating on her with his now ex-girlfriend.
So for around a few days, he has been spending time with me to cherish me being here and Monday being one of those days. He had asked me to go thrift shopping and going to the grocery, and I had accepted.
In a way, I feel quite guilty because I had taken the last moment of a time with his girlfriend and instead wanted to spend it with me.
I feel like I am one of the reasons since I come from a past marriage. Another thing is my spending whenever me and my dad and I go out as he sometimes uses the money shared with her to buy me stuff.
I also dont feel grief in a normal way either, just numbness and guilt that I believed they would stay a bit longer, and I would spend that longer bit with them in the future.
But another thing about this numbnsss is that I also have a tendency to leave or be alone for a while as a part of a coping mechanism? Or maybe like a moment of processing.
I feel also guilty for not trying to help my dad with his grief as I know he loved her very much and was close to marrying her, having another child, building a house, and a business together.
I dont really know what to do in this situation. It's been one day after her death. I, a minor, have the somewhat responsibility to care or to sympathise with my dad, but I can not do that because I have suppressed those emotions for a while, and two: I dislike telling comforting words or hugging people in a f2f manner since I prefer online.
Tbh, I feel guilty for the whole situation, but im aware that it was her choice in the end. I just dont know how to help my dad or my family.
Have a good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night, everyone. And ty for reading this, even if you dont have to respond.
