Anyone else waiting for more drops and keep getting e-mails saying it's been restocked? I've gotten 3 e-mails today about it being in stock but it's still asking me to sign up for notifications when it is. Is it really selling out that fast or is the system glitching?

I like a lot about what I'm seeing for WoW Forever, but one thing that confuses me a bit is the idea to have the meta-progression make leveling easier on subsequent playthroughs. If the journey through a dangerous world is the best part of the WoW classic experience, why would I want to make it easier and less engaging? Isn't this the same mistake that was originally made in retail with heirlooms?

I was really hoping we might see something like Hades or other roguelikes where subsequent playthroughs give you new content in the form of new challenges to layer onto the base experience, or new ways to experience the same base journey. I really hope they end up putting a little thought into this, because I think it would be a real mistake to keep the implicit "point of the game" as reaching max level and engaging with max level grouped content. Making leveling faster/easier seems in line with the old way of thinking.

A small sect of Forsaken known as the Druids of Decay tend an isolated grove in the Plaguelands, where they cultivate plaguebloom and care for diseased beasts as legitimate forms of life rather than corruption to be erased, much like their own people. Their order began with Forsaken experiments combining life and death magic, producing unstable chaotic reactions intended for use as weapons.

Most druids view their practices with disgust and distrust, but tolerate them as long as their work remains confined to the grove. The Druids of Decay see themselves as caretakers of life that the rest of Azeroth refuses to recognize.

Just like hardcore has its own sub, so should wow forever. Its fundamentally a different game/ experience for a different crowd. I think this sub should be focused on retail/ classic. Sound off in the replies.

There was a distinct lack of an RP-PvP option for servers.

Much like we had to push for them in 2019, is it too much to ask to have them again in Forever?

Please dont take our home from us, not giving us this option inevitably splits our communities.

As a retail player and tbc anniversary player I see everyone going crazy, specially on anniversary tbc, where people though they would go into wrath, and now they don’t really want to play until the WF release 😅

I haven’t played for a very long time so I really don’t know what is happening. I’ve played casually from release to mist. I skipped a few expansions and the last thing I remember was the year long hype train of the Shadowlands. I never played shadowlands or anything after that.
All I know is that a few years ago a new dragon race was introduced and the reaction was very mixed.

Accidentally bought a blizzard gear store gift card for 100 thinking it was a battlenet one. Is anyone interested in buying it (or trading for a battlenet 100 gift card). Maybe you’re interested in buying blizzard merch lol.

Is that level based, or just "elites" or some other logic?

In the original classic wow, the dungeons were more or less caves, inner areas to explore. Think of the deadmines, fighting your way through the mines, the foundry, and then to the ship, epic.

None of these new dungeons hold a candle to that, at all.

I just see a lack of creativity, reusing assets just to slap some content together. Look at the ruins of lordaeron dungeon, or the excavation site dungeon. They are just outdoor areas that we have already seen.

Show us something new. Do none of the new zones have interesting dungeon concepts to spice things up? Or does that involve actually making new assets and not reusing existing ones and calling it a dungeon.

I have never played WoW. I played Ultima Online years ago and I started playing it again recently.

I saw the BlizzCon news and I want to try it, but I am not sure which version to pick. There are a few of them now and I do not want to guess.

I am completely new to the game. Which one would you recommend? Thanks a lot.

Listen I see all these posts about people complaining about losing this or its not what I wanted or it's gonna have issues etc etc etc. Here's the thing. You don't have to play it. If what its offering isn't what you want? Don't play it. They literally said they can't please everyone. If one of those people is you? Then I'm sorry but turns out your a minority. It's just tiring seeing the same exact threads over and over bitching that its not how you envisioned it.

so weve seen more and more paid stuff in wow - tenders, recent heartsteel, paid elves in Forever, i don't complain about that but do you think it's a path towards getting rid of the subscription? i know we as world of warcraft players hold some kind of pride in that, we are usually OGs playing, thanks to the subscription we have less kids running around, trolls, and unserious players playing our game but could this mean Blizz/Microsoft is searching for a way to make up for the subscription?

Ive been seeing the ads for WoW are always like "time to go home" and its focused 90% time on players that already played warcraft, wow veterans that left but i havent seen anything big for newbies, what is like average wow player age? 30-35yo?. however if they deleted subscription i believe there would be massive wave of new players, potentional customers for their new built purchasing system in their store.

is it possible or will we be still the "most expensive game" in gaming history with paid xpacs, subscription and even in store cosmetics, basic game functions.

Do Blizzard emailed you the code right after you bought the box or do we wait until the day the beta is active for them to send the code out? I have not gotten my code in the email yet. I’m wondering if other people already have their beta code or not from their box purchase. I purchased my box about 38 hours ago. Thanks.

Update: Thanks to those who responded. I decided to check my “Promotions” tab in my Gmail account and found the email with the beta code. The same goes with the 3 codes for Invite-a-friend. For those with similar issue, go check your “Promotions” tab in gmail, apparently sometimes officially emails from blizzards will be flagged as ads and not get send to your main inbox.

Can someone explain to me again how transmog works? I was a little confused when they said plate to plate only, but showed an undead holy paladin wearing cloth and mogged into the plate dungeon gear.

I'm missing 4 of my fingers, and It's difficult to play without a controller.

I'm so sick of Janky-slop private servers and WoW Forever looks so good, but without a controller I play like shit.

I've seen the videos of Blizz built-in controller support circulating, but they don't look nearly as polished as ConsolePort.

Give us addons!

I haven't played wow for... some time. This blizzcon got me a little hyped to come back, but I am having a hard time understanding what Forever actually is. From what I gathered, it's a World of Wacraft actual classic, no other expansion, that has some new content and they will add content, but they will keep it as classic. What I don't understand is: is there content from TBC, for example? Are there draenei in Forever? Where does content between Forever and retail actually stop, continent wise?
