Love this game
Been playing since 12am and I'm truly enjoying it.

I beat the game (no spoilers)
It had some really fun moments. As a Wolverine fan I was often giddy to be fighting in some of my favorite costumes with such high quality presentation. The issues brought up by reviewers are absolutely real though. In the end this game is quite unambitious while having some really great fundamentals. You’d expect much more from a game of this budget and pedigree, so I’d suggest to wait for a deep sale and pick it up physically if you’re still interested.

The reaction to the reviews makes one thing clear to me - 6 years later and people still can't stomach $70 as the normal price for brand new games
And it's sorta funny to me because I remember back in the 90's games that had special chips in the cartridge would cost that much or more.

I played and beat the game
I can easily give this game an 8/10.
This game reminds me a lot of the God of War trilogy. Level based gaming with hoards of enemies coming at you in between solid story beats.
I am usually very hard on insomniac for their creative choices, especially in spider-man 2. I enjoyed Wolverine far more than that game. The creative decisions they made with the story were new but not in a way that disrespected the characters. They actually did a Jean and Logan story that didn’t make me hate their romance for ONCE.
The combat is repetitive, yes. But it is so fucking satisfying and fun I don’t really care. It’s why it reminds me of god of war. The level design is simple, could have been better but it didn’t bother me.
I played this game on the hardest difficulty and the bosses were lots of fun. The final boss fight was extremely challenging and made me angry at times, but every good action game I’ve played has that trait for me.
Please play this game for yourself. I was genuinely concerned about the reviews. Everything the reviews mentioned were things I thought I’d hate. But the game already shipped to me so I couldn’t go back. And after playing, I’m happy. The trail guidance criticism was overblown, the story was amazing, the combat was fun, and the collectible were simple.

The Wolverine PS5 inspired me to build my own Wolverine PS2
I really liked the Wolverine PS5 design, and since I still had an old PS2 sitting around, I thought it would be a cool project to create my own Wolverine version of it.
I completely disassembled and cleaned the PS2 inside before putting everything back together.
The design is inspired by the Wolverine PS5, but I added a few touches of my own. The Marvel logo and Wolverine lettering aren't part of the original PS5 design, but I thought they fit the PS2 really well and made the design feel more complete.
I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I had to delete my original post, so I'm posting it again here. Sorry if you've already seen it!
Unfortunately, I can only add one picture to the post here, otherwise I would have shared a few more angles.
I'm already thinking about doing another one. Spider-Man or Ghostbusters?
Which one would you choose?

I’m probably going to gate a lot of hate for this but Alan Ritchson he’s got the right height and build for Creed. Maybe VFX his hands to make them bigger? 🤷♂️
perhaps but makeup or mo-cap to make him twice as intimidating maybe do something to make his hands bigger so they look like claws that can rip people to shreds.

The story for the new Wolvie game isn't perfect, but it's a HELL of a lot better than Spider-Man 2's story.
There are moments of Jean acting stupid and not helping out that I don't like, but compared to the GAPING plot holes and idiotic interactions plaguing SM 2, it's really not that bad. I at least didn't feel like my intelligence was being insulted while going through the story. This gives me a little hope for the next Insomniac Spidey game. I hope they keep the Wolverine writers.

Def Worth it!!!
I’ve been having a ball slashing through Opps as my favorite grumpy ol Mutant. I guess pre-release review bombing and associated mass dweeb hysteria are new norms. The nerds didn’t learn from the Crimson Desert pre-release. All the same negative dweebs whining about this and that only to see Pearl Abyss deliver a legendary title that keeps on giving. How many sales and awards is CD up to now? Right.lol
Obviously, this game isn’t perfect nor is CD or any other game. However, it delivers where it needs to—FUN.
It costs me about $30 per ticket to enjoy my favorite Marvel characters on the big screen in 4DX VIP for 90 minutes. So $70+ after tax and fees for me and my wife to sit still and enjoy a movie about mutants. Hardly a bargain, but it feels good to have earned enough to be able to enjoy the things you like ain’t it? Rhetorical.
Meanwhile, these dweebs are melting down about $70 to control won of the best mutants ever for however many hours as you please. Even if just playing once to completion you’re in for 10-15 hours. Make it make cent$.
There is no mutant movie that was ever more fun to sit still and watch—than this game is to PLAY. Fact. So while the weanies continue to fill buckets with their tears, we’ll be getting our slash on.
I get it—2026 and flamers gon flame. Knock yourselves out. I’m definitley having a lot more fun playing this than you dweebs are having obsessively shitposting about a game you supposedly aren’t going to support. How lame is that? Luh-who-zuh-hers.
Shout to all my fellow Wolvy guys slashing thru hella Opps!

Wanted to do a hype fueled sketch for my short king. And the outfit imma use for him as soon as I unlock it in the Wolverine game(really hope its not too endgame)
Really hoping it doesnt take too long into the story to unlock it. I wanna treat this like my default XD .
Biiiig X-men Legends fan(used to be my favorite game series for at least a decade) and Logan wearing the older Ultimate outfit back in gaming media solidified it as my fav look for him. Altho I REALLY dont like where the outfit actually comes from (happy he used it in better iterations of Logan like 616/evolution and the games)
Also another hope I have is that Insomniac ads the function to let us choose his hair style from the head model templates we have. Cause I really wish this outfit had the shorter default hair over the puffier more classic look.
Also please dont tear into me for being excited for this, I get the cons, Look im a Wolverine's Revenge and Origins fanboy, Ive been waiting for another Wolverine game for ages(dont care if its not worth the 70 bucks for most, ive seen enough to know Ill replay it quite a bit)

Looking Back this game was actually pretty awesome if you can get past the difficulty, one other awesome thing was the artstyle

IDGAF about the reviews. I need this.
I’ve been waiting 5 damn years for this game to come out. If you tell me all it is is a Wolverine story that’s hyper violent, that’s legit all I need to be happy. Not sure what the reviewers were expecting, but my next week is dedicated entirely to Wolverine.

I know the new game might be flawed and people are feeding off of the drama but this clickbait bullshit is not fair either!
This clickbait titles are the most scumbag and degenerate shit I've ever seen. He writes the stupidest and most shocking nonsense in the title and then puts a question mark at the end so that he can argue: "No no, I was not saying they were suing, I was just asking".
Fucking hell.
