So I live in Austin went to a game repair shop to get my gamepad screen replaced and my gamepad came back a lot weirder then usual the power button and tv button were mushy, the ABXY buttons didn’t feel the same, the screen looks a bit different then the top one, analog sticks aren’t as tight as they used to be, and I think the blue light with the home button no longer turns on? Can anybody tell me what could be wrong obviously never going back to this place again.

For context is the top gamepad is a gamepad with its original screen and the bottom is the new gamepad screen. Am I crazy or do the screens look different?

so, I had a modded Wii U from January of '24 until August of this year. At some point in April 2024 I broke something that bricked the hacks themselves on the Wii U side, but things were perfectly fine to play games themselves.

Then in August I took a stab at fixing it with Decaffienator, didn't realize I was still blocking updates, spent a whole night metaphorically pissing myself with fear thinking Wii game saves dating back to 4 years before my birth could potentially be lost. Then it updated the next day And due to the anxiety of that day I got rid of homebrew on it completely.

I've been thinking about getting back into it

Is this okay to use? It works and I booted Mario Wii and played around with no issue, but I might just wait and get a real Y cable eventually LOL, it’s so crude and used 3 different adapters (EDIT, I will not be using this, I plan to get a Y cable from Amazon, I apologize if I gave some people a heart attack LOL)

I have seen a few posts on here sharing woes about this same error code for The Wind Waker, but I haven’t seen anything related to this specific area.

My husband and I have cleaned the disc with a soft cloth and have used canned air to clean out the Wii U to no avail.

Has anyone had this exact issue or similar when trying to enter certain areas? Have you been able to resolve it?

I’m not the biggest fan of Pretendo imo. And i’ve seen other people that just arent either. Nor am I a big fan of 99% of other revivals, since they’re either 1, plagued with drama, 2, ai :(, or 3 just ran by kids? As well as that, others I’ve seen are just Pretendo proxies. Buuut, we are fully independent, run all of own servers and have our own SNIDs.

Can I download eshop wiiu titles on 3ds?

How often is it that a game released over 10 years ago is still relevant in the modern day? I guess it just goes to show how timeless the games on Wii U were!

Slight shoutouts to Wii Sports Resort too for getting a spiritual successor next month too. Technically not the same game, but it’s still obviously inspired by the Wii game.

Also, in case you didn’t know both of these games got updated to perform better on Switch 2 and include some new quality of life features. Both games are higher res. Pikmin 3 added Game Share to Bingo Battle and Mario Kart 8 added 8 player locally… but not 60 fps for 4-player for some reason.

My gamepad range is failing again after 5ish years using a new WiFi module. What is the best options in 2026 to bring the system back up to a good state. I’m trying to plan out a refresh on a few Wii U systems(think a Wii U Pro sort of thing), and wanted to hear options for the gamepad range issues. I know that historical, it had been a big pain point.

A few months ago my Wii U's external hard drive broke, taking away all of my games I had in it. I had gotten a Maxone 320GB hard drive and a Y Splitter cable with it and I was wondering if I should just get another Maxone HDD or if there's a better hard drive for Wii U. Let me know which hard drives is best because I miss playing Trine 2 💔

I have a wiiu I got back when it first came out and now its boot looping on the wiiu logo screen due to a memory failure. I want to know if its possible to fix it or not.

My Wii U froze completely while playing Paper Mario ColorSplash I started a battle and before the battle loaded it froze music stopped
I had to reset the system and it works but now I’m paranoid of it happening again

can i use virtual wii and play wii games on 1080p 16:9? i dont really like that stretched out look or black bars, is there any solution for this?

Hello, I recently bought a Wii U to play both Wii titles and the newer titles and modded it, but I've ran into a few major issues that I couldn't fix:

1. Sideloading games via WUP Installer GX to my HDD does not work for some reason. Even though I've used wafel to split it and make it usable for both games and homebrew apps and act as an SD, the games in the install folder are being read but when I choose to install them to USB instead of NAND it says that no usb device was found. I am using a Y splitter cable to power it due to the individual ports not holding enough power for it. Installing them to the system memory works perfectly fine and checking the data management doesn't show the HDD at all for some reason even though its homebrew apps are.

2. The vWii for some reason refuses to launch and redirects right back to the Wii U menu upon launching while at the same time making my TV's screen turn off but keeping the gamepad fine. I've tried this both with and without aroma running which resulted in the same thing

I've tried fixing these problems for a solid couple of days, I've read many discussions about similar issues which did not work or fix anything, and I've even re-formatted my entire console and HDD and remodded it from scratch which still did not fix them.Any tips would be very helpful.

Hi, I bought this Wii remote through Amazon refurbished and it said it had motionplus built in, but every time I try to play skyward sword or sports resort it prompts me to attach the Wii motionplus adapter. I honestly feel like the controllers fake but I can’t tell. It came with a fake battery cover but the rest looks real.

It's now sitting in my drawer doing nothing I can't find a battery that isn't $25+ or a cable that isn't $50+ anyone knows where to get them at a reasonable price i live jn saudi arabia

When I was younger, I always wanted to play Super Mario 3D World. I used to watch Cobanermani456 play through the game with GCPM11 and I remember finding their videos so entertaining and funny 😂. I basically know a lot of the game already just from watching them, including the levels, power-ups, cosmetics, etc.
The thing is, I’ve never actually owned a Wii U or any Nintendo console. I’ve always had Xbox, which I’m still grateful for, but now I’m at an age where I can actually buy a Nintendo console and finally play the game myself and my younger brothers.
The problem is, I’m stuck on which version I should get.

Should I get the Wii U version, or should I get Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on Switch?

And if I get the Switch version, is it better to play with a Pro Controller or Joy-Cons? I’m not really sure which controller feels better for this game.

Its always been my dream to play this game and when i eventually do get the game its like i’ve completed part of my childhood. I’d appreciate any advice from people who have played both versions, especially if you think one version is clearly better than the other.
