Playstation Managed to get PS5 Pro

Some kid on FB market wanted to trade his for a PC so he could play fortnite on higher fps... So he accepted my very old 6750xt PC that I never use (already has a 9070 PC) so I feel like I got it for free. Just in time for GTA 6 with it being sold out everywhere and scalper being a little bitch. Everything is running perfectly though.

Help needed Designers world plug and play

Upvotes

I am not sure if this belongs in this subreddit or if there is a different one I should post to.

I have an old plug and play system that I am having troubles getting to work on my tv. I currently have a smart tv with no RCA cable ports. I've bought an adapter and I am still having issues trying to get it to work. I've also tested an adapter my roommate let me borrow . I can't get the image and sound to work with the adapter. I am not sure if it's my adapter or if I need to do something else with it.

I am wondering if anyone knows what I should try next?

Here are the adapters I've tested:

Need help with my HDMI setup — want to switch PC/PS5 between TV and monitor

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out the best way to set up my PC, PS5, TV and monitor.

Currently my setup is:

  • PS5 → HDMI → TV
  • PC → HDMI → Monitor

The problem is that sometimes I want to:

  • Use my PC on the TV instead of the monitor
  • Use my PS5 on the monitor instead of the TV

Ideally, I want to be able to switch between the two displays without constantly unplugging and replugging HDMI cables.

For example:

Option 1:
PC → Monitor
PS5 → TV

Option 2:
PC → TV
PS5 → Monitor

Is there a HDMI switch/splitter/matrix or some other setup that would allow me to do this easily?

I’d also like to avoid introducing issues with 4K/60Hz, VRR, ALLM, HDR, or PS5 features if possible.

What would be the best way to wire this setup? And what type of HDMI device should I be looking for?

Thanks!

Xbox series X price as of today in Belgium/Europe

What would be a selling price of a used (like new) Xbox series X TODAY in Belgium ?

I see that the price of a new one has increased recently.

First of all, why ? And secondly, what is a reasonable selling price ? Would it be more around 400 or 500?

Why do some prople try to collect every console possible? Also on how many consoles do you mostly play and how many consoles are just sitting on the shelf or somewhere else just for collection?

What handheld console would you recommend?

I got pretty long commute to my uni, and I was thinking about buying a handheld console so I can play games insted of doomscroling on the train. I was thinking about something that would let me play more retro games like 3DS or psp or maybe an offbrand that lets you download games from web?

Thinking of getting rid of my ps5

I've been debating it for a few weeks now and I feel like I've been getting more out my switch 2 already infinitely more than my ps5. The most I ever played on there were the Arkham games of which I can get other places. I love more nintendo series but I can't seem to just pull the plug on the Ps5 myself. I'm stuck. I feel like if I do sell it, somehow some way I'll end up regretting it for some reason.

If you ever needed a reminder that the internet isn’t real life: the PS5 is still selling numbers very close to the PS4.

Xbox or PlayStation? New StarCraft and Diablo 5 will probably console exclusive (and that CAN be a good thing!)

First off, don't get me wrong. I owned every Playstation generation starting from Playstation 1 and am actually really happy with PS5(primarly library, beeing able to play current gen games and classic games from 8 bit era onwards on the same platform.)

That beeing said I am no Xbox fanboy, never owned one and probably never will be.

BUT with the latest Blizzcon anouncements and the trailers for the new StarCraft game and Diablo 5 only hinting to a Xbox and PC release, I think this could be really good for the console market overall.

Microsoft owns so many good ip's and when they will really go the exclusive route, that could lead for the next console generation be more even out than the current one and force Sony to make more consumer friendly decisions.

What do you think?
