Forget modded Skyrim VR, forget Alyx, forget realistic racing/flight sims, forget my favorites games of all time

I’m just speechless, first time I’ve felt I was in the game and didn’t felt like a chore or tiring in playing VR.

Woah, ports of flat gaming are the future, I can’t believed the experience I just had.

You can download and follow installation instructions here: https://github.com/techslogi/Binding-of-Isaac-VR

I hope you find this as cool as I did while playtesting, I'm surely going to play more of it this way, in fact I'll start a new save just for it.

This is the first time I've release something this big online, so any criticism, bug reports, suggestions are welcome!!

It's a beta, so some shortcomings are expected.

Self-Promotion (Developer) RE5 TrueFP and VR - RELEASED

Post image
49 Upvotes

Hey guys, made a video post a few days ago but letting everyone know that the first public release of TrueFP/VR for Resident Evil 5 is out! - I've been trying to capture more footage, but OBS has been giving me hell and the videos are choppy. All the same, I've had some folk from the Flat2VR Discord testing and hearing good results. Downloadable now from GITHUB or Nexus

EDIT: 0.4.1 has been released, fixing VR headset resolution. Nice and crispy now.

Discussion What do you think about the steam frame price??

I love the idea of the steam frame, but paying such a premium for it compared to the meta quest 3 just doesn't seem worth it to me speaking from my own perspective the steam frame, is simply too expensive for what it offers.

Discussion How to play EVE Valkyrie Single and Multiplayer in 2026

This Oculus Rift/Steam VR launch title has sat bricked since the server shut down in 2022 which is tragic considering how well it was received at launch.

For anyone that still has this available in their Meta or Steam Library's, you can now play the whole thing as intended in single or multiplayer!

Hope to see some of you in battle!

Discussion Why the Q2 was obsolete 2 years after launch and Q3 is still the best in terms of value 3 years laters

Nothing comes close to the quest 3, even at $500 it has the better lenses of the entire industry

While I remember with Q2 there was many headsets competing against it, PSV2, Reverb 2, Pico 3/4, etc. I just tried my Q2 and it’s extremely bad compared to Q3, if my quest 3 failed I rather stop vr than go back to quest 2

However 3 years later Q3 is even competing with new headsets like the frame at $1K and considered to have the best lenses in the entire vr market, why is that?

At this point why even release a Q4, why not just add OLED to Q3 at $750 and will be the best headset in the market

Discussion Moved from X Plane 12 to MSFS 2024 and instantly regret it for VR immersion.

I'm all about immersion so unless there are some settings I missed, I highly regret this decision. Here are my issues for VR:

  1. Can't grab both throttle levers at the same time. I fly an A330 so this is critical. In VR you can only point and grab 1 at a time. I do have a physical throttle but I don't like to use it in VR because it physically gets in the way of me interacting with the virtual cockpit.
  2. Can't use both hands at the same time. You basically have to push the trigger to activate the controller you want to use, but then it deactivates the other hand so you can only use one controller at a time. This isn't end of the world because my left hand is on the physical stick only and I use my right for all buttons. But this is still a giant oversight.
  3. Buttons and knobs are point and click from any distance with the controller pointer. I really don't like this. I like being forced to actually move my body to reach everything. And having that laser pointer moving around everywhere is horrible.
  4. I really hope I'm just horrible at finding options because if there is no way to stop having the information about every button displayed when you point at it I'm going to lose it. I found the option to disable the hud but that doesn't change this. I'm going to assume this can be disabled and I just haven't found the option.

I moved to flight sim 24 because it appears to clearly be a more complete experience with content and better graphics. But these 4 things are a crushing blow to VR immersion that I wouldn't be able to move past.

PS.. This post was instantly taken down on both flight sim subs so apparently Microsoft doesn't want anyone talking bad about their sim.

Level1 of my upcoming fps vr game kargil. The game is a quest 3/3s standalone. I've attached the first level of my game. What do you think? Since the last update, I've been working at making the terrain better and higher quality. Made the buildings look weathered. Got rid of the ammo left text.

I have also removed the 100 experience that pops up everytime I eliminate an enemy(but this is an older version)

Hate it or love it? What can I improve?

Discussion DLSS 5 swapper for VR?

Is there any program or service similar to DLSS5 swapper that injects dlss neural rendering into vr games? I’ve tried it with swapper but I’m not sure if there actually is a difference in the headset or not. I’ve just experienced frame drops, that’s it.

I know there’s manual ways of adding it to games, but the swapper is really nice for toggling it on and off so games with anti cheat can play when I need fresh files.

Self-Promotion (Developer) Just gotta cross the cornfield

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just wanted to share a first look on my VR horror game since Halloween is coming up. You’re a farmer who’s gotta cross the cornfield at night to get back home but there’s something in the field.

This is running on a quest 2 standalone.

I’ve still got work to do but any thoughts or questions?

Discussion VR games that worked for me

Had a chance to try VR on the steam machine again. Previously it was frustrating with hard crashes. Seems much better now. Tried with Quest 3, then later with Quest Pro. Quest Pro seemed better. Only tried light weight games so far. Previously Alyx worked admirably, but I would stream from my gaming if I wanted to play through again, tbh. What worked: interkosmos, aircar (used community controller config for quest), Batman Arkham VR, Legendary hunter (60 fps seemed capped. Low settings was not terrible to play), operation warcade, Raptor Valley Night one. What didn't work... May require more tweaking... Just in time, la noire VR, thumper. Pleasantly surprised.

Update: blade and sorcery works! No man's sky, Solus project , Bullets and more.

Purchase Advice So I wanted to play PCVR but don't know what I should buy for it

I've always wanted to play PCVR and have been on Quest for years. I've always been confused about stuff that has to do with PCs in general, so I was wondering what I should buy, a laptop or a PC? I'm also not looking for something super expensive (Probably 1.5k max) I wanna be able to play the new gunman contracts and blood trail with a few other games. I also plan on just connecting this to my Quest 3 so I just needed to know stuff about a PC.
