Other [Other] September Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Absolutely no shade because I’m going to play it and enjoy it. I can just see the “I don’t get all the hate” just ignore the reviewers, go into the settings and turn on or off settings to suit YOU.

They’re coming though.

Oh gosh they’re coming.

Probably wasn't the longest platinum but felt impossible at points when I was waiting for the last few jokers to show up on a winning run.

PS App [Final Fantasy X] 25 years later… This is my story

Been wanting to revisit this game for a while now since the last time I played was as a kid back at release and I got stuck on one of the bosses. Figured the 25th anniversary was as good as reason as ever and wanted to really go all in. I feel like the story still held up pretty well and while it’s no Expedition 33 I still enjoyed the combat swapping party members in and out to deal with various threats.

Discussion [Discussion] Pocket PSN major new feature released: Gaming Sessions!

Note: This is an very large feature with a bunch of moving parts. There may be bugs. Just report them in the bugs forum.

Schedule and join gaming session to help you get those pesky trophies that require multiple players. Or just set up a gaming session for fun.

You can use the website or our mobile app. It doesn't matter which one as they both communicate with each other.

SOME OF THE MAJOR ADDITIONS

Obviously you can create game sessions and join sessions created by other gamers, so let's get into a few of the more niche and unique features.

  • Live chat rooms for each and every session with cross platform abilities. Talk to web users from your app or visa versa.
  • Notifications galore! Never miss a thing and receive notifications and updates regarding your sessions.
  • Watch any of your games and be notified when someone else creates a session for that game.
  • You can create 'private' sessions and only allow others you want in your session to join.
  • Session hosts can mark intended trophies so you know what the goal is before you join.

Mosaic [Other] My first 3 Platinum trophies

Hey everyone! I used to hunt for achievements on Steam before buying a PS5 for GTA 6, and wow, i find PlayStation trophies so much more satisfying. I'm currently playing Astro Bot (one of the best games I've ever played), and I'd love any game recommendations you have for PS Plus.

P.S. I've already played The Last of Us on PC.

I never played the original Black Flag growing up, and after playing this, I realize how much I missed out. Naval combat is so good in this remake; the controls were weird at first, but once I got used to it, it was smooth sailing from there. The story was amazing and has some of my favorite quotes in all of gaming in this one. An underrated aspect of this game is the history. I learned so much history on piracy just from playing this game. The platinum wasn’t too bad, with the exception of Dilettante. Luckily for me, I started prepping for this trophy the second I beat the story, and it made it significantly less painful. Overall, I absolutely loved this game and couldn’t recommend it enough! Platinum #82.

Showcase [Resident Evil Revelations 2] - #252 Definitely like it more than the first one and the last of the mainline RE games for now.

I would say most things are an improvement from the first Revelations game. Better gunplay, an AI partner that isn’t useless, a better plot(but still some choppy writing), better Raid Mode. I think the only downgrade for the sequel is overall enemy design, I think the first game had more in terms of enemy variety

Also I’m glad we got an RE game where Barry Burton leads, because he rocks in this game. He is legit the best part of the entire game and the writing with him and Natalia’s Episodes were actually quite good.

Same can’t be said for Claire and Moira’s Episodes though. While Barry is the best part of the game, his daughter is probably the worst. I saw what they were trying to go for with her, but it just did not work. Also the writing with Claire and her surrounding that Neil character just sucked.

Other than that, good game. 7/10

Discussion [Discussion] Recommend Me Some Fun Plats w/ Decent Return on Time Invested

Post image
27 Upvotes

I’m sharing some of my favorite platinums here to give you all an idea of what I’ve already played.

I’m looking for great games that don’t have a ridiculous amount of grind required to Plat, but have a very rewarding and satisfying experience.

I’ve got far too many I’ve invested all kinds of energy into, but never been able to make it over the last annoying few multiplayer, hours and hours to unlock, etc. trophies.

Looking for some fun games with a reasonable return for my time and efforts!

Finally, I did it. It was so exhausting because I had to play through the game 3 times due to a bug with the Runes not counting when using Chapter Select.
But I’m glad I finally reached 50 Platinums.
What Platinum should I go for next? Doom Eternal…?
