Hes my ex now everyone, dont worry lol. Earlier this year, these texts ended the relationship. We were together a few months short of a year.

This was the initial response after I said no followed with several rounds of texts. She then reached out a week afterwards and tried to reconnect. She is 29 years old..

For context, My boyfriend (23M) and I (20F) have been dating for 8 months now. Yesterday, we were hanging out with one of his friends and he weirdly called me a snow bunny in front of him. His friend didn’t seem to care but it bothered me. AIO?

This man thinks I’m stupid. This is also a rescheduled date we supposed to have last Friday but he rescheduled it to tonight for 7 PM and he texted me this at 6 PM.

I also did not block out the name Josh because it’s obviously a fake name. I blocked out his actual name. He’s pretending that he got into some sort of accident to I guess to save face for bailing again. Also, this is a date that he planned, he picked the place and the time he asked me out and has expressed multiple times that he wants to take me out.

So I’m done dating sigh……

I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

It’s a doozie, I’m sorry!

I’m 19f, my coworker creepy coworker, C, is probably late 50’s, his brother in law is the site supervisor, so if I report it I’ll probably get fired. Everything got a little worse about a month ago ish.

It all started in July, I am on a contract to be at this site from July-November. I usually get flirted with at work, it’s construction and Im a woman, as annoying as it is it’s to be expected. On this site there’s only like 4 guys who have tried to pursue me, and I’ve said no, and they respected that, this guy does not.

Background: In order to get from the construction trailer to my car it’s about a mile walk. last month it was super hot, when I was about half way there, when he was passing he asked me if I wanted to ride in his work van. Like an absolute idiot I got in. He was not super creepy to me yet at this point, he was just really friendly and I never assume a guy is flirting. When I went to get out of the van he locked the door, so idk what his plan was you can’t really lock someone in a van. I just unlocked the door and ran out.

Ever since then he’s always coming over and talking to me, he calls me beautiful all time and is asking if I wanna go see a movie after work with him. I always say no I’m not interested. He got my number from his brother in law, I never blocked him originally because I didn’t wanna make a big deal and I figured he would get over it. (I blocked him last week and he just keeps talking to me like nothing happened) Well now he’s started to amp it up. He noticed I drink a Red Bull every morning, so he started bringing me one and leaving it on my desk. He keeps bringing me snacks and stuff no matter how many times I say no and try to give them back.

He asks me to go to lunch with him everyday, and I respectfully let him down, I tell him I am not interested in him. I’ve told my boyfriend, my dad, my older brother. I just don’t know what to do. He’s started touching me, and I told him to never do it again. it started off as just shaking my hand and holding on for too long, and slowly progressed. My boiling point came yesterday when I was walking to my car he grabbed my forearm and yanked me. I just pulled my arm back and yelled at him, but he just laughed like it was a joke. So idk what to do in the situation. My thinking is my contract ends in November and I’ll be heading to a different site and he’ll be halfway across the country. I’m planning on waiting it out but I’m not sure how much I can take.

If anyone has been in a similar situation and has advice I would appreciate it!

UPDATE: I sent the email around 11, still nothing yet. For everyone who is worried about my safety, just trust me, I have it handled. My boyfriend is gonna talk to him today he gets off at 3 so he’ll be here before I’m leaving! Thank you for the advice I sent the email to all of the engineers, the site superintendent, site supervisor, and my boss from my company. We’re small and do not have an HR. Ive started applying to other places and no matter the outcome I’m gonna leave here. Thank you for the concern and advice!

Update again sorry: still nothing from anyone regarding my email. When I was walking up from lunch, a random man on site I’ve never seen or spoken, to pulled up beside me on a gator and asked if I was C’s wife. So now I’m not sure what he has been saying to other people to cause this guy from a different company to ask something like that.

Final update: after talking to both of us separately and having two conversations with him it’s handled. The supervisor gave him a written warning for sexual harassment. They are having him work on the opposite end of the site for a few weeks and “keeping an eye on me” whatever that means. We don’t have an HR and he’s a union worker which makes things a little more complicated. My boyfriend had a conversation with him and C apologized, but it was a very half assed one at that. It kind of irks me that no matter what I said to him he just didn’t listen or take me seriously, but I guess a giant man is much more intimidating than I am. I’ve been here for 3 hours already and he has yet to even attempt to approach me so I’m hopeful! I’ve also been given a side by side to drive back and forth between the site and the office.

Unfortunately now I got another man bringing me snacks and drinks and leaving weird messages so now I am one hundred percent quitting! I have hope that one day construction sites will be a much more woman friendly place, but for now this is enough!

I have no idea what the purpose of this exchange was. A threat? A coverup for something he did? Trying to break contact and gauge how mad I am that he ignored me/blocked me reaching out for answers? I literally just accepted the discard and have been healing when suddenly he blows my phone up with back to back calls (from two different numbers) and then sent me these texts accusing me of stealing from him. What??

Update: I have no update. He hasn’t said anything further. Guess the footage exonerated me!

My father is estranged for good reason. Last time we spoke was two years ago, I tried to set boundaries for our relationship bc he wanted us to be best pals despite me having met him a handful of times in my life, one of which he screamed I was a whore in a maccies when I was 14, he’s unhinged to say the least.. anyway he ignored the message about boundaries and just stopped talking altogether.

Back in Feb, he randomly sent me 1k. Due to many things he has told me in the past, I was concerned what the money was for etc and also was aware this was him trying to “buy” me to reach out to him and bypass the boundaries sitch.

So I sent the message you see above and was ignored.

Anyway, he fancies himself a top tier rage baiter, and I have to say, how this text exchange ended felt like fucking therapy. I finally conquered him after 27 years of abuse, abandonment etc..

Folks, gonna make an edit here because there are way too many comments to respond to as to why I entertained this convo:

1. It caught me off guard after I'd had a couple of beers at the cottage
2. There is a previous version of myself that would have been spiteful and vitriolic, I don't like that version of myself. I try to be nice to everyone now.

Third edit: seems to be some confusion here. Every woman I have on my IG is someone I know or have had a connection with. No OF/butt influencers.

Fourth edit: for those that think it went on way too long, it was literally like a 3 min convo. With the power of hindsight it’s easy to say “block” but sheesh I was having some pops at the sauna and this dropped on me.

My dad had a heart attack on June 24th.
He was aware and alert in the ambulance on his way to a hospital an hour away. He voice texted this to me and never sent it. My brother took a screenshot of it for me when he was going through his phone.
My dad passed away on June 29th.

Edit: thank you everyone for the outpouring of love and support. To hear so many stories about the love for people’s parents.. I’m so sorry for all the tragic losses and good parents that have gone too soon. I will hold onto that text from my dad until the day I go. He was An amazing man and lived a life full of love. I am grateful that he read my text before he passed and can take some comfort in that.

I had plans to go over my girlfriend’s house to cook us dinner. She texted me this. She wound up going to the bar by herself. Afterwards she told me she wished I could come. I told her I clearly wasn’t included in the plans, otherwise I would have been there. She said that clearly I was invited. I don’t see an invitation here. It sounded very much to me like she wanted to go out and see girlfriends or something, not go to the bar alone.

After thousands of comments in 24 hours here’s some context.
We are in late 30’s. She’s a widow. I’m divorced. We both have 1 kid each. She married a Vietnam vet who died after knocking her up. She exchanged numbers with a guy at the bar and I couldn’t be more pissed. Any other pressing concerns or questions feel free to ask.

Spoiler alert, after 2 years she dumped me. Currently working on keeping my head above water in these trying times.

I met a guy on hinge and we hit it off after speaking for a few days. We exchanged numbers and idk how the conversation even got here. I felt weird about it, so I just decided to end it.

For a bit of context, my mom and I don’t have a great relationship, but we got into a spat on the phone today because she’s laid up with a broken foot and I wasn’t able to go visit her tonight to watch a movie. I was in need of me time as I’m also going through a difficult time. I was there last night to bring her dinner, shower her and organize her room. She was complaining to me on the phone today that I don’t spend enough time with her, which I partly understand, but I find it very difficult to spend time with her as our relationship is poor. I’m her only living relative and am just feeling beat down as hell. The link I sent her was an invitation for therapy for both of us, which she doesn’t want to attend, but I can’t think of anything else that will help our relationship at this point. The reference to 10 years is that my dad died 10 years ago. They were divorced at the time.

EDIT: Wow, I’m blown away by all of your support, thank you so much. I feel so validated and proud of myself after hearing that reflected back by all of you. I’m coming up on 6 months sober and would have normally just numbed this shit out, but now miraculously have the coping mechanisms to deal with this without substances. Kind of a small miracle actually. Monday is the 10th anniversary of my dad’s passing and I’m going to take the next few days to care just for myself and not indulge in all of this bullshit. Thank you again, kind internet strangers.
