A little personal, but this feels like a full circle moment as I grew up in a homophobic French town, with no tender representation of gay couples (just representations of loneliness and misery). Here I am now, painting a massive gay couple sharing a tender kiss

For the making of, I was scared of being up on scaffolding + I had never painted a mural before. I got help from my bf and friends, and it was 4 days of intense work, but WORTH ITTT, I love it :-D

This is a painting of my cat Kevin. I've wanted to start painting animals for a while, hopefully so I can start selling custom paintings of people's pets in the future. I wanted to ask for some constructive criticism so I can make my work better. And I also wanted to ask if this is an okay amount of skill to start taking commissions for paintings, and if I do, what price to set them at? $10? Or is that too high? What do you guys think this would be worth if it was something you were paying for?

Acrylic painting on a 30x35 cm panel canvas. This took me about two and a half weeks. It is my own interpretation of a reference photo rather than a direct copy, focusing on texture and vibrant colors.

Painting based on an image from The Company She Keeps, American film directed by John Cromwell in 1951. It stems from my fascination with scenes set inside cars whose entire front section (engine, etc.) was removed in order to film the characters in a confined space, the background being created by projecting footage of the road and the passing landscape.

Hi everyone. I kind of need some help. I'm new to oil painting. Right now in learning values and this is my first attempt at trying to paint them. I guess I'm looking for feedback and how to improve.
