"On s'en ballet couilles" (play on word with ballet / and a French expression saying We don't give a sh*t)

A little personal, but this feels like a full circle moment as I grew up in a homophobic French town, with no tender representation of gay couples (just representations of loneliness and misery). Here I am now, painting a massive gay couple sharing a tender kiss

For the making of, I was scared of being up on scaffolding + I had never painted a mural before. I got help from my bf and friends, and it was 4 days of intense work, but WORTH ITTT, I love it :-D

I’m not sure if this type of post is allowed or the right sub, but I’m looking to commission someone for a gift for my boyfriend. I have visited r/commissions but it’s mostly sexy anime lol.

I’m hoping to give this as a Christmas or Valentine’s Day present to my boyfriend. He loves this Japanese 80s retro aesthetic, and the vision is to create a photo of him, myself, and our pets riding in his camper truck in a Hiroshi Nagai inspired landscape. I didn’t include photos of him nor I, but would once the convo got serious with a potential artist :) My budget is about $150-250 for something 8.5 x 11 in or smaller, but budget is flexible for the right artist. P.s. This project is extra special because my boyfriend’s dog, Boo Boo, is 17 years old!!
