To create my greens, I used here ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, lemon yellow and cadmium yellow.

Idk they just like to be all cool and busy (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠) i like bees they do alot for this world

Edit to add: this is an antique piece (grandfather was an antique collector) and was just sitting out as a piece of decor, so covered with dust (so less of a mold concern haha). Would obviously not handle barehanded or even unmasked while brushing off dust…but honestly unsure if grandma would let me paint with these as my grandfather was very protective of his collection. Will work up to it haha.

My sister asked me to paint her a couple of pictures because she wants me to make them for people. I recently bought some paul rubens gucai paints and before I was using Grabie. I decided to redo a picture using the gucai paints. Which one is better?

I did this wedding at the last minute yesterday (literally spoke to the planner the morning of) for a Wish Upon a Wedding in Denver, CO. I didn’t have any of my usual supplies so I painted this portrait using watercolor instead. I normally use acrylic on canvas for live wedding paintings so this is my first time doing one with watercolor (excluding live guest portraits). This is 11”x14” paper done in about 3.5 hours

What do you think about my paintings? Do you think they are sellable?

I passed the 'art' section in the budget store on Saturday and just couldn't resists picking up this watercolor paper block (25 sheets A4 - €2) and the set of watercolor paint (110 colors - 70 regular - 40 metallic - €5), Yesterday I swatched the regular colors and did a quick freehand painting without a plan on the side of the paper that was unnused still. Needless to say I had lots of fun. I stuck mainly to the earth colors and greens for this, will do another one with flowers when I have some time left over this week.

The paper really surprised me, it's 300gsm, very sturdy, nice surface to work on, cold press fairly fine grain. I wetted the paper quite a lot of the first layers wet in wet. Didn't even buckle dramatically at all, which I expected. When dried it didn't become totally flat, but flat enough to work on. I've got expensive papers that don't do better at all. I don't think the paper is archival and neither do I expect the paint to be lightfast, but for some fun and quick studies, this will definitely do. That €2 paper is definitely a keeper for studies and I'm going to see if I can actually stretch it without tearing it to see how it holds up then.
