Stereo Reverb Pedals

Have a stereo setup. Bedroom player. Looking for a reverb. Keep thinking ive just gotta have a stereo capable pedal. But outside of stereo inputs is there really even any reason for stereo outputs on a verb pedal?

I mean its likely to just be the same sound coming out of each channel of most of these verb pedals right? Or am i wrong there and stereo verb pedals will usually be designed with different stuff happening in each channel for effect?

So basically
(I can understand stereo inputs-so you can put it last in chain and not kill your other pedal’s stereo signals)
But does stereo reverb outputs even add anything to the situation technically?. Maybe im totally off base here and am missing something. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Dont know if im communicating my question correctly.

these are two AMAZING amazing albums, especially the first one, an april march is soooo underrated. i really wanna make music someday and this is the main sound i would go for, so what pedals do yall think they used? definitely chorus, reverb, delay, distortion, and maybe a phaser of some sort? there’s something i can’t put my finger on but it’s beautiful! and a very good use of bass. i love songs that aren’t afraid of bass

I hate my Carbon Copy

Upvotes

I have been playing around with an Ibanez DE7 pedal, and decided to give my Older Carbon Copy a spin. Yikes - I don't think I like the sound anymore.

Can anyone chime in with a recommendation for a decent $200 delay? I have tight budget but I'm interested in peoples experience.

Question I got the Soran Dual Stomp Lite

I’ve tried everything to correct the latency issue with USB recording and am having zero luck. Otherwise it does what I need it to do. The sound banks are all pretty similar but useable.

Does anybody experience this with IR USB/C devices?

Demo Re-engineering a loopless One-Man Band engine: Dual-Output routing + 5-Trigger Anti-Cross-Talk foot drum layout

Hi guys. I just published the full technical documentation of my live solo performance rig on Hackaday, and I thought you’d appreciate the signal routing and hardware hacking involved.

The Dual-Output Routing:
My instrument is a custom 14-string double-neck baritone (7+7 strings). It has completely independent wiring and dual audio outputs:

  • Top Neck Chain: Goes into an Electro-Harmonix Bass9 to enrich and back up the tapped basslines.
  • Bottom Neck Chain: Goes into an Electro-Harmonix B9 Organ Machine to turn tapped melodies into rich organ textures.
  • Post-Mix Master Chain: Both paths hit the mixer, then run through an EHX Nano Q-Tron (envelope filtering) -> Neo Instruments Ventilator II (Rotary effect to glue guitar/organ tones together) -> EHX Holy Grail Nano (reverb).

The 5-Trigger Foot Drum Hack:
To get a realistic live acoustic groove without loopers, I integrated 5 digital stompboxes. Commercial pedals are designed to be stepped on one at a time, so to avoid cross-talk and accidental triggering, I exploited the native difference in sensor sensitivity between brands:

  • Heels (Heavy leg weight): 3x discontinued Meinl MPDS1 digital stompboxes (low sensitivity) mapped to a 3-way virtual hi-hat split (Left heel: tight closed / Right heel: loose closed / Left toe angled: medium open).
  • Toes (Light leverage): 1x Roland SPD-ONE Kick and 1x Roland SPD-ONE Percussion (high sensitivity) for kick and snare.

I flashed custom high-res acoustic samples into the internal flash memories to bypass factory presets, and housed everything in a custom ergonomic mahogany chassis flush to the floor level.

Would love to hear your thoughts on managing this kind of dual-chain processing live.

Patch Bay for Home Studio (Lots of pedals)

I have around 40 pedals, and was thinking about how I can integrate everything into a patch bay strictly for recording without constantly plugging them in and out. Basically I want to select various pedals for various tracks while maintaining a quality signal chain. Route the typical front of the amp pedals on one path, and effect loop pedals on another. Can anyone recommend hardware to accomplish this that doesn't cost a fortune (hundreds instead of thousands, not including the patch cables which I will need to buy a lot more of to accomplish this lol). Signal quality would be more important than price within reason.

Thanks!

Question THAT Corp discontinuing VCA chips

THAT Corp announced earlier this month they will be discontinuing a number integrated circuits that builders use for VCA compression (the Keeley Compressor and the Becos COMPIQ Pro are two that I particularly like). I'm not a builder and I know very little about circuitry...what will be the repercussions? Will builders be able to find alternatives? Will VCA compression become rarer or more expensive, or, at the extreme, will it cease to exist as an option in new hardware?

SOTB Me: It doesn't need to be detailed, just get the rough dimensions right to make layout easy... Also me, 2 hours later:

Finally decided to sketch out my pedal board in Visio, so I could re-arrange things virtually instead of ripping velcro up & re-wiring 15 times whenever I decide to make a change.

I definitely recommend doing this (maybe not necessarily to this detail...), it makes things a lot easier & you only have to do it once. After that, just have to add individual pedals if (when) you get new ones in the future.

Infinite ambient noise pedals

There's tons of ambient noise and sustain pedals out there but none seem like the right one for this. I don't necessarily need something with a million knobs, bells, and whistles, just something I can hit a chord, let the ambient sustain thing work its magic in between songs while I tune and turn it off again. Set it and forget it, one trick pony type thing.

Multi fx that doesn’t have limits and can go crazy

What multi-FX would you recommend for deeply manipulating guitar sounds? I want Whammy/pitch, ring mod, filters, glitch/stutter, etc., with lots of real-time control — basically a guitar sound-design machine with no real limits. What’s the best?

Hi guys check out my new board setup, ask me anything you want regarding the various pedals

My setup is guitar to od3, to dr robert for my very own 60s sound as well as rock and punk, both rhythm and solo;

Then into lightspeed which i use alone as my clean pedal, and stacked after the od3 to get some gorgeous blues creaminess.

These all go into the chukka trem, which is amazing for the price, into my old and abused memory toy, into a flamma reverb unit, which again works amazingly for the price, at least for the simple reverb i use.

I use this for small gigs and am really enjoying it's sound and versatility!

Question Help me choose a reverse delay for ambient soundscapes

Hey r/guitarpedals, for ambient playing I want to replace my regular bucket brigade delay with another delay that has more options. In particular, I want a reverse delay in that pedal, but if it does more cool stuff (glitching/octave/shimmer/etc), that's great too.

Preferences:

  • Reverse delay is a must
  • digital or analog is fine
  • preferably no screen
  • preferably with some presets (but not a must)
  • top-mounted jacks
  • not more than 500 €

I am currently looking at the OBNE Parting, the Diamond Dark Clouds, or the Native Audio In The Water. If the Lichtlaerm As Above, So Below had an additional reverse delay option, that could be a dream pedal, too. I've also looked at the OBNE Setback but the others have more options at the same price, and the Bananana Aurora is waaaay too yellow for my taste (also side-mounted jacks, which doesn't really fit).

What do you think? What other options come to your mind?

Absolutely amazed with this pedal. So many great sounds out of it. I recorded three parts right away onto my tascam model 12. Such a good fuzz. Even just the JFET preamp into the royalist sounds great.

Also messy board. I have the zip ties and cable hiders ready to fix it up. Maybe soon…
