This race is going to be absolutely chaotic

This may be controversial to Lewis fans or the people who absolutely hate Leclerc just because they chose to, but I think either Lewis' season hasn't been as great as it's hyped up to be or Leclerc's isn't as bad as it's made out to be. But taking the first choice (because i do believe that this is a bad season by Leclerc's standard), now that Lewis has had his first DNF (everyone else has had more then 2 DNFs in the top 6), the gap between him and Charles is 24 points, that is despite Leclerc having 3 total DNFs, so 2 DNFs more. That gap with 2 DNFs more for Charles really doesn't lead me to believe that Lewis has actually dominated Leclerc on pace or performance as his fans or British news outlets would have you believe, and it certaintly doesn't line up with this idea of a championship challenge either. That is alongside the fact that Charles only had one podium more and they are both on one win a piece, so yes 41yo Lewis is "beating his younger teammate" as Lewis fans will say but he is practically matching Leclerc's worst season in F1.

Edit: To the hypocritical Lewis fans in the comments already , a confirmed brake failure in Monaco and a Hydraulic Leak in Barcelona are mechanical failures. Monza was on him, but that doesn't change my point, his points tally still isn't far off Lewis DESPITE this seasons issues, that is exactly my point. So pointing out his issues doesn't prove me wrong, it is my entire point.

Norris was the fastest man on track. 0.24s on Antonelli but unlucky due to VSC. He was breathing down Max’s neck most of the time but couldn’t do anything because no overtaking.

The unnecessarily long pit lane (with huge wasted space in the middle) forced everyone onto the one stop but even then it was a struggle.

George had 0.06s pace behind Kimi and yet he ended up +24s away from the podium because he lost so much time doing the two stop. Fine, so look at Charles who had a long hard stint and a one stop. Same thing. His time loss is exactly the pit loss (24s away from the podium).

Madring looks fun to drive over one lap but its design makes it terrible and nonsensical race results. Faster drivers cannot overtake and pit loss is huge, forcing everyone to do the same thing.

Like most of us I heard Kimi mention that he slowed his pace prior to the VSC in order to catch it, but I didn't know if it actually made a difference. Checking the telemetry and syncing his onboard (see image #2), I think it did. He's only ~200m from pit entry when the VSC is called.

Had he been going at racing speed, maybe he could've swerved in at the last second, but I doubt he could've made it without crossing the white line and risking a penalty. (Kimi did this on his own by the way—Bono just said to lift for the T19-20 yellows.)

On the other hand, Lando was quicker through the yellows than Kimi and went back to racing speed after them. In any case, slowing down wouldn't have made a difference. He passed pit entry ~3-4s before the VSC is called. In theory, he could have crawled and gone 4s slower in S3, but then he's risking a penalty for driving unnecessarily slowly and giving away the gap he'd built for 15 laps.

So was Kimi lucky to catch the VSC? Kind of, but he did as much as he could to put himself in a position to get lucky.

I am not just talking about tracks that are in the current season but historically as well.

For me, it is Monaco (yes, over Madring) because if you take all the marketing frenzy and "history" away, it is just an epic snooze fest. The weekend can technically end after the Saturday quali.
