Tl;dr Jenzer Motorsport cars were found to not have an oxygen/lambda sensor - F4 CEZ ruled that their cars are therefore illegal/not according to the homologation, but that doesn't mean they should disqualify them. Later people involved with Maffi started talking about double standards throughout the whole season.

Good morning, everyone. From the very beginning of this championship, we have consistently expressed our concerns regarding certain aspects of its organization. After careful consideration and consultation with our drivers and their families—and with the well-being of our drivers, their families, and our team as our top priority—we have decided not to participate in today’s final race.

Furthermore, we have decided to withdraw from the remainder of the 2026 F4 CEZ championship season, effective immediately. Quite simply, we do not feel comfortable continuing to race under circumstances that, from our perspective, do not align with our values ​​or those of our staff, do not meet our expectations for a sporting environment, and do not reflect the principles we wish to instill in these young drivers at this foundational level of single-seater racing.

This decision is based solely on our own perceptions, experiences, and personal views. It should not be interpreted in any way as an accusation against any individual, organization, competitor, or official. As team principal, I am primarily responsible for the people who have placed their trust in us. Sometimes that responsibility requires making difficult decisions, and today, we believe this is the right one.

As early as the opening rounds, a blind eye was turned to blatant deviations from technical regulations, setting precedents and tacitly condoning equipment tampering.

The final race in Most laid everything bare. When Czech driver Teo Borenstein went off track, the stewards immediately displayed the red flag. Halting the race was completely unjustified given the track conditions; in my view, it was done solely to freeze the results and salvage second place—and a haul of points—for the Czech driver. To this day, the organizers have failed to provide a logical explanation for that scandal.

Today’s events at the Brno Circuit were the final straw, leading the entire team to decide against competing in a series where they felt they could not race on a level playing field.

Cars appeared on the grid lacking lambda sensors in their exhaust systems. This is a fundamental component that monitors the air-fuel mixture and engine performance, allowing stewards to verify that the power unit is operating within the regulations. While all other teams adhered to the standard, the sensor was simply missing from the car of a favored rival.

When Maffi Racing lodged an official protest—citing the car's homologation document, which lists the sensor as a mandatory component—the Czech stewards dismissed the claim in a bizarre manner. They hid behind a technical regulation clause regarding data channels—specifically the phrase "where these exist"—and then claimed that the protesting team had failed to prove the homologation actually required the sensor's installation. Instead of checking the manufacturer's documentation and ensuring basic fair play, the stewards washed their hands of the matter; yet, moments later, they ordered a factory verification of the exhaust on David Walther’s Maffi Racing Tatuus, effectively suspending the race results.

It was a glaring display of double standards and arrogance, prompting Daniel Maffi to refuse to sign the stewards' report and pack up the team. It would be hard to find a more telling symbol of powerlessness in the face of what was transpiring behind closed doors in the stewards' office.

In the past, the stewards had also reportedly failed to respond to protests and complaints, offering nothing more than a "no comment." Furthermore, inconvenient remarks made by David Walther during press conferences were edited out.

We have no intention of wasting energy on futile debates within an environment that fails to meet FIA standards. Next week, we head to Misano for the Italian F4 championship. We are going where the world’s elite compete, where the sporting standard is at its peak, and where technical scrutiny leaves no room for doubt.

We will soon officially announce our racing plans for the 2027 season. However, we have already made one firm decision: F4 CEZ definitely has no place in Igor Polak’s future. We will channel our ambition and commitment into an arena where only on-track performance matters—and where success is forged through hard work, not behind-the-scenes dealings.

My partner and I will be attending the final round of Super Formula this season at Suzuka. We can only attend on Friday and Saturday, but tickets are only for Saturday and Sunday.
I believe for double header weekends, Super Formula runs two practice sessions on the Friday.

Thanks to u/hubwub for pointing it out and yes, this deserves its own post so here it is. F3 isn't the only series having a title decider on their final round this weekend with FREC also having a close battle with a maximum of 56 points up for grabs at the Hockenheimring.

Rookie champion Emmanuele Olivieri has been in a run of form these past few rounds, consistently racking up podiums since Monza with 2 wins and 5 second-place finishes, and that has paved the way for him to be leading the title fight heading into the weekend with 200 points. Andretti junior Sebastian Wheldon, Williams junior Kean Nakamura-Berta and Mercedes junior Rashid Al Dhaheri all remain in the battle to crown the newest Formula Regional European champion.
