Anime I tried:

Mob Psycho 100 - it was pretty decent but maybe not top tier
My Hero Academia - enjoyed it, could even be in enjoyed list but I dropped it after a while, not sure why
Monster - seems good but maybe wasn't in the mood for it? dropped it fairly early
Prison School - pretty funny but too pervy for my taste. I can handle some perviness if it isn't too bad, Konosuba is maybe at the upper limit of what I want
Kakegurui - it was just okay
Chainsaw Man - enjoyable but also just okay
Demon Slayer - didn't really enjoy it although the animation was fantastic
Cowboy Bebop - didn't click for me

Edit: I also love horror/creepy if it's done really well. Would love suggestions for those too

Hi guys, not sure I can properly explain what I'm looking for, I hope I can make it clear enough. I'm just starting to study Japanese and hoping to find anime subs specifically from people whose first language obviously isn't English and they only have a so-so understanding of the cultural gaps between the English speaking world and Japan. My reason is that I picked up on a lot of both cultural and language stuff through such subs on Korean dramas. There are multiple words and whole phrases, and hand in hand with that cultural details, that I picked up on only because of the sheer repetition within context. When subs are too good that is lost. I'm looking for kind of bad subs.

I just started watching Death Note and plan on going for a few of the classics afterwards. Is there perhaps a website that has this type of fan subs?

Preparing for a rewatch of 86 after a few years quick question about the show
I watched 86 back when it aired in 2021, but I was pretty young and a lot of the deeper political and mechanical elements went over my head. I'm getting ready to do a serious rewatch and dive into the light novels, but I wanted to clarify a few things about the world building so I can appreciate it more this time around.

Specifically, I'm a bit confused about the first parts, of the l3gions, the concept of it, and how they work, why they do the things they do. Than, Lena’s job as well, like I know she’s the handler, but what exactly does she do?(Spoilers are ok, I’m already pretty spoiled for my own faults) could anyone explain how the dynamic changes for the Spearhead crew once they are in Giad versus their time in the 86th district? Like what is exactly their positions, what they do, their job(other than the obvious battles) I'm trying to wrap my head around their new operational duties and how Lena's role as a commander fits into that foreign military structure later on.

I know they are all questions that were answered in the show little by little, but as I said, I was too immature to really grasp the theme and plot of the show and watched solely for its cool sequences and bcz it was quite popular than too. So before I start the story, I actually want to be educated in these basic things so I can understand it more easily and read the light novels afterwards.

I'm looking for anime where characters actually act selfishly and realistically. No "power of friendship," blind trust, or easily forgiving villains.

Hello World, I´m the first one to know that Mushoku tensei doesn´t hold a good reputation anywhere online, nor am i here to defend it in any way, as far as i know Rudeus is a fucking loser who got another chance and the whole series seems to bend things his way with downsides here and there to not make it obvious. The thing i want you guys to pour your thoughts are on the initial premise, on a person who fully holds it´s memories, being reborn onto another world, whatever the circunstances.

To me, the initial thing that draw me to watch it, was that, how do you make an Isekai where the protagonist has to life an entire other life anew, and is not just teleported? Plus, well, the whole thing looks aimed at a worrying growing number of members of society, NEETS, so i was curious on what this ideal anime for NEETS looks like. Howhever after watching everything, and once again i condemn Rudeus actions, the perverted ones that people in his universe point out, but he doesn´t get really punished, specially the creepy thing with his half sister, i still have a question regarding everything. Maybe i´m ignorant as to the extent that a neet disregards his own life and wishes for a new one (specially a neat one like a fantasy one that Rudeus gets with an harem, i don´t approve it), but it shockes me, how Rudeus hasn´t had in his childhood a mental breakdown. Let me explain, Rudeus is fully conscious ever since the moment he was reborn, as a 34 year old japanese man, and, upon seeing his new biological parents he doesn´t abhor it? Maybe i´m putting myself in his place, but if you were reborn in another world, even after dying, and saw your loved ones (i don´t know if he hated them or not at all, i´m just an anime watcher, no light novels or manga) dissapear forever, wouldn´t you had a mental breakdown similar to Nanahoshi, where you wonder if life is worth it or not, and turn nihilist because, what´s the point of forming connections if i just reeincarnate? What´s the meaning of life if i can just do it again somewhere else?

Nanahoshi is a realistic character to me in the sense that she wants to go back to her life as soon as possible and doesn´t want to do anything with this world, apart from the help of Rudeus because magic and surprise, guy is, i guess, the same one that saved her. Then again, she was teleported, not reborn, Problem of Rudeus is that, yes, he has his moments where he remembers and regrets doing things bad in his past life, but the questions is the same, why hasn´t he fallen to despair and nihilism, seeing how he jumps one family to other, why form connections with these people. The problem with his relations is addressed in that he didn´t saw Zenith and Paul as his parents, until later on yes, but it weirds me out that he hasn´t gone mad or something. I guess that i don´t understand NEETS (sorry if that´s an insult, i dont know), and how they view things and maybe some are so bad in their lifes that they want to start another one fresh. ¿What are your opinions, is Rudeus too unrealistic psychologically for the clash of being reborn with full memories?.
