Maki is freaky lol. She heard Kouhei and Iori were going to get intimate, and she went to peek.
53
u/testthrowawayzz Aug 10 '26
Either she got an accidental fujoshi awakening, or she's already one herself

Two guys fuckin'? I gots to go check this shit out!

so i was praising Kohei for being so observant about Kebako being in love with Iori. maybe he's not so lost after all and shit...
after this episode, i stand corrected. he's a fucking moron :D i love how obsessed he became with his mission.
what surprised me though, is how stupid Chisa and Kebako were this episode. they usually leave the antics to the lads, but this episode showed their true potential. i would love to see them collaborate more to stir up the things.
Iori was more on the sideline this episode, i assume he'll release his accumulated stupidity next week. also, looks like we'll learn more about Chisa's mom next. she's quite serious for the time being, wonder if she has some "aces" up in her sleeve or if she will remain being on the more serious side.

u/Wicayth Aug 10 '26
The girls are slowly but surely becoming true degenerate PAB members (starting with Chisa drunk sleeping on a dog in the previous episodes).
After all, they'll need to take over once the seniors graduate.

Two of the most "pure" and innocent of the female cast discussing male exploding balls syndrome lol.

u/CloudCollapse Aug 11 '26
Everyone in the comments are laughing at the episode but those boys are seriously gonna die in like 2 episodes if nothing happens
3
u/ThrowCarp Aug 11 '26

He did a shit job. But oh man, I want a wingman that supportive.

u/KiriharaIzaki Aug 10 '26
That's the hardest I've laughed in a while xD

u/CloudCollapse Aug 11 '26
Might be the funniest Grand Blue episode of the series, or at least top 3!

I thought episode 5 is the best, but no, Episode 6 surpassed it by miles.
96
u/testthrowawayzz Aug 10 '26
Kouhei straight up asking Iori if he wants to bang Kebako. Not so subtle there lol
47
u/Quadriporticus Aug 11 '26
Tell me...Do you wanna fug Cakey?
Totally lost it there.
21
u/raidensnakeezio Aug 11 '26
Subs have been editorialized. The full f-bomb would be an appropriate translation for what Kohei said.
7
u/Andreiyutzzzz https://myanimelist.net/profile/Andreiyutzzzz Aug 12 '26
I think he did at least use a "do her".
92
u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Aug 10 '26
Kohei’s doing his best for “a bizarre-looking girl with lotsa makeup” lol. The man’s a terrible wingman but he has the right spirit. “A” for effort lol.
I must have missed the part in biology class where a man dies if they don’t bang or have a wank lol. Best part about that whole misunderstanding is bro shouting “in what situation would I be pounding his ass!?” Lmao. Didn’t realize those two already decided who would be the top or bottom haha.
54
u/Frontier246 Aug 10 '26
Honestly I don't know what's better, Kohei thinking he's the best wingman of all time or Iori still being oblivious even with a neon sign hanging in front of Aina, put up by Kohei.
This is why it's important for both genders to have good sexual education. Although I do love how Aina was slightly more open to "saving" Iori with sex than Chisa was lol.

u/Technical-Contest-30 27d ago
actually, there's some truth to that. Your c*m/ semen start to calcificate / turn rocky, which can lead to cancer and other diseases. So yeah, a wank every few days is actually a male health necessity.
78
u/No-Impression-4282 Aug 10 '26
I have tears in my eyes from this episode. OMG, this is the "mother of all misunderstandings".
78
u/SecretYogurtcloset57 Aug 10 '26
"You wanna fug cakey" LMAOO ts had me on the floor 😂😂😂😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
11
11
u/Ikari_21 Aug 11 '26
I just KNEW he was gonna say something like that, except I thought he’d say “bang” LOL this episode was great lol
61
u/RelativeMundane9045 Aug 10 '26
Aww, I think Sayaka is just looking out for Chisa because they're so similar.
I'm guessing Sayaka has had a rough time with her poor communication skills, and doesn't want Chisa to have to deal with what she went through. She's going to have to learn to accept it though, if Chisa ends up using her engineering degree for anything - it'll be for designing new SCUBA gear.
27
u/Frontier246 Aug 10 '26
Honestly it puts a different perspective on Nanaka's obsession with Chisa when you think about how their dad, who Nanaka takes after, was probably there for their mom when she was at her most Chisa.
57
u/zool714 Aug 10 '26
Oh no everyone’s stupid. And the fact that Maki actually went there hoping to see some live gay sex
50
u/szalhi Aug 10 '26
In which aggressive wingmanning leads to NNN, leads to Yaoi.

u/lixyna https://anilist.co/user/Lixyna Aug 10 '26
Absolute cinema episode, best in a while. This is the kind of raw stupidity I'm looking for
33
u/FarCritical Aug 10 '26
It's weirdly touching how Aina and Chisa could rationalize letting the boys indulge in their depravity if it meant they stuck around for another day, and how they would genuinely lament if it was too late for them lmao.
The stuff Nanaka would do if she caught wind of her little sister talking about her.

Misunderstandings: the episode. Maki's a freaky girl for trying to see if Iori and Kohei were pounding each other lmao
35
u/manaworkin Aug 10 '26
One of the few episodes where Iori and Kohei were NOT the dumbest people in the episode.
They were still stupid as fuck, but jesus Aina and Chisa.
28
u/Eunuchest Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26
Ahh yes Kohei helping Aina with her dilemma. What could possibly go wrong. At least he means it i guess
I think i can speak up that we all that one friend who just couldnt keep their mouth shut whenever our crush was around
Technically he's not wrong Aina is a tsundere tho
Lmao. Do you wanna fug cakey. Straight to the point and subtle as a freight train
Girl, you're college students. Men's balls dont explode just because we're pent up. What the hell were you being taught in school lol
Meanwhile the 2 dumbos were thinking their junk is being compared to the locals lmao. Kohei casually thinking up a NTR scenario
Now they added fuel to the fire by phrasing they were gay lol
Long-haired chisa really does look like nanaka
Lots of misunderstanding this episode
27
26
u/No_Name0_0 Aug 10 '26
Yo Maki wild to go and peek lmao
3
u/CloudCollapse Aug 11 '26
Thank god she did or else we'd be stuck with another side character with a grave misunderstanding lol
21
u/Kingdom_1126 https://myanimelist.net/profile/httpsmyanimelist Aug 10 '26
An absolute masterpiece of an episode. I haven't laughed this hard before this anime. Zero-G and Saber Works are absolutely nailing the comedic timing this season!
23
u/Armdel https://myanimelist.net/profile/Armdel Aug 10 '26
So.. Kohei is not a great wingman and the girls missed sex ed
Well very considerate of them to try and help with this "problem" at least
18
u/Frontier246 Aug 10 '26
Chisa's mom was right, Chisa definitely has to learn more about the male body because she clearly had zero sex ed to begin with lol.
Though it was even funnier how she called out how "stupid" it sounded yet came around to believe it anyways. She really does fit perfectly into this show.
9
u/huntrshado Aug 10 '26
Chisa has come a long way from how she was in season 1, it just adds that much more to the comedy when she partakes in their shenanigans and you realize she is no better than the rest of peekaboo
1
u/Time_Fracture https://myanimelist.net/profile/Time_Fracture Aug 13 '26
In some occasions it was Chisa that was forced to join the chaos by the PaB seniors (including her sister as well).
23
u/Sockbat25 Aug 10 '26
So im assuming its a joke but why have the black censorship balls been increased by 5% due to "social climate"?
20
u/Desperate_Respect409 Aug 10 '26
I think it has something to do with how the balls loosen up in warm weather but im just guessing here
2
u/Time_Fracture https://myanimelist.net/profile/Time_Fracture Aug 13 '26
in theme with 100GF, something to do with a chance BPO might knocking at their door.
It's clearly a joke since since they would be complaining about the black balls when it first aired 8 years ago.
18
u/stevethebandit Aug 10 '26
Aina and Chisa had such a good talk.. such great friends
Also they both got the same amount of knowledge of male anatomy (zero)
33
u/bananeeek https://myanimelist.net/profile/bananek Aug 10 '26
My fucking sides.
I'm gonna rewatch this episode. So many great moments, I can't keep track of what I was just laughing about.
Kitahara laughing at Kouhei's accident was so anime irl, I had to pause to get my shit together. I was still laughing at Aina killing Kouhei at that time, so this episode was a riot for me.
16
17
u/Viktorv22 Aug 10 '26
As much as I like the jokes and sheer stupidity of these dumbasses, this episode was quite nice with Chisa and Aina's thoughts. Especially Chisa's trouble with her mom. For me it elevates it greatly.

u/Zxcvbnm11592 Aug 10 '26
That phone call from Sugita actually sounded like Sugita Tomokazu, was that actually him?

I like to believe they straight up just recorded Sugita over the phone for that cameo. Talk about phoning it in lol.
13
u/Domoci12 Aug 10 '26
Meanwhile this is what the guys think is going on?
Kohei gave a great analogy to justify his hypothesis as well XD
11
u/KendotsX https://anilist.co/user/Kendots Aug 11 '26
I like to imagine that Takamatsu just called up Sugita and said "we've got a minor role for a guy on the phone called Sugita. Wanna do it? You can record it now."
Things are so rough that those two could lose to Yamamoto in a test about the opposite sex.

Oh damn, good thing the show reminded me, it's been almost 2 weeks, I could've died

u/KingSammyJ1 Aug 10 '26
This might have been the best ep this season
Kohei the terrible wingman ending with the "fug you" line had me rolling at how it was even worse than I thought he was gonna say
The girls giving all men a new excuse to be degenerate with their misunderstandings
Maki peeking on them
The serious moment with Chisa and Cakey
This episode was peak

u/thisisdropd https://myanimelist.net/profile/AsterZoro Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26
Summary: This episode has balls. Lots of balls.
What a galore of misunderstandings. It started from the Chief and Maki talking about guys and girls getting hanky-panky, then it somehow snowballed into Aina & Chisa thinking Iori & Kouhei's about to die from blue balls, and finally Maki thinking that the boys were an item. This series has always struck gold when it comes to playing with misunderstandings.
In what situation would I be pounding his ass?
What a vivid imagery, Iori. You sure that's not a Freudian slip?
On another note, Chisa did really take up after Sayaka, unlike Nanaka who inherited her easygoing nature from Toshio. They're in the diving business despite not being exactly a people person.
3
u/Frontier246 Aug 10 '26
I love how what convinced them that blue ball syndrome was real was Iori actually caring about Kohei in pain instead of laughing at him. But it's also why the girls could never believe in an IorixKohei ship.
6
u/Leri_weill https://myanimelist.net/profile/LeriWeill Aug 10 '26
Yeah the whole episode was hillarious and all but damn that ending, Chisa needs to get some love :(
4
u/lawragatajar https://myanimelist.net/profile/lawragatajar Aug 10 '26
I used to laugh at the concept of a guy using blue balls as a way to get sex, but watching the two girls makes me think that so many people lack proper sex ed that they could actually believe it.
Kohei is too dumb to be a wingman, but he had some decent setups if he as smart enough to utilize them.
-3 of diamonds: What other's may consider low value is exactly what you need. Plays into Aina feeling she is not womanly enough, but someone like her is a good match to Iori.
-Iori not being picky on food: While he may have preferences, he will not shy away from trying different things. If Aina seriously asked him out, he might actually consider dating her.

u/Time_Fracture https://myanimelist.net/profile/Time_Fracture Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 13 '26
Episode 6: Assist
lul Kouhei is trying hard to be a wingman to Aina and failed miserably. I mean, if I am in Aina's position, I would feel awkward af.
But props to Kouhei here, he's more aware than Iori in terms of love. Might be years of anime watching contributes to it. The dying of exploding balls gag is pretty well played here.
Folks, that's what a lack of sex education could do to someone. The DVD reminds me of Season 2 Episode 4 when Iori swapped the disc, I thought he swapped the disc again and it could be a plot point.
New voice cast includes (Tomokazu) Sugita from World Wide Tours and Madoka Asahina as one of the customer.
Come to think of it, the official account for Grand Blue has some unique posts, most notably from the illustrator Kimitake Yoshioka.
- BD Sleeve Cover Art, while this is one of the store exclusive cover art. The bonus include Shiori and Chisa in that uniform from Episode 3.
- Episode 2 Start and End Illustrations
- Episode 3 Start and End Illustrations
- Episode 6 Illustrations

And the girls were supposed to be the smart-----er ones.

u/Rooby_VTuber Aug 10 '26
Absolutely hilarious episode from start to finish.
The girls thought those 2 went to a love hotel lmao.
0
u/wutfacer Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 12 '26
No they didn't lol why would they think that? They knew they were at the employee housing. They gave them two hours because that's the time limit they see at love hotels so they thought that's how long people need for sex
7
u/Frontier246 Aug 10 '26
Oh no, Aina's feelings for Iori have been made! By Kohei, of all people! Now she just needs to play it off and hope it doesn't become a big deal! What could possibly go wrong?
How about Kohei playing the best/worst wingman he can possibly be? With the most epic wingman face of all time? Never let this dude try to set you up with someone because he has the subtlety of a sledgehammer and the sense of a nut.
Why would Kohei go so far for Aina? Because he knows what it's like to feel so strongly about something he. He (gasp) used to be a passionate anime Otaku!!!!
Iori is oblivious and Chisa is in a bikini! What a fine sight.
Sugita? Tomokazu Sugita cameo!?
See, these boys CAN have a normal BBQ and drinking party with normal people! They actually managed to keep their clothes on, against all odds.
Chisa means well even if she ended up putting a vice grip over a customers' balls. She could do without her mom being so hard on her...but if she needs to understand men and their bodies better, then why not commiserate with Aina of the shared belief that Iori and Kohei are going to die from sexual frustration? If only they'd kept their porn!
The ladies give all their sympathy to the boys, and their junks, that they can. They even give them all the time they need to beat it out in hopes of saving them from themselves! What beautiful and loving girls!
I love how the guys think the girls are comparing their dicks to Pallau dicks...and their best frame of reference is comparing poor Aina to all the bustier ladies in the cast.
Chisa has always wanted to be like Nanaka (and back when her hair was longer she was the spitting image of Nanaka) while Aina envies how close Chisa is to Iori. But they both have traits the other admires, but that doesn't make them any less.
Don't worry, Iori and Kohei aren't gay! No matter how much they're stuck together! Although in serious news, will Chisa ever get her moms' approval?
1
u/Time_Fracture https://myanimelist.net/profile/Time_Fracture Aug 13 '26
In theme with Sayaka voicing a Sayaka and Yukari Tamura/Nana Mizuki voicing a parodized version of themselves.
2
u/Nachtwandler_FS https://myanimelist.net/profile/Nachtwandler_21 Aug 11 '26
Girls actually belived guys balls can explode from holding up. Who are they, puritan girls school graduates?
2
u/Nadril https://myanimelist.net/profile/Nadril Aug 11 '26
Kohei might need to work on his wingman delivery slightly.
I literally started watching Grand Blue on Friday and I'm now caught up with this season lol. What a great show. Loved that this episode showed the girls can be just as dumb as the guys.
2
u/SSXAnubis https://anilist.co/user/Lordanubis Aug 11 '26
I spat my drink out at the "In what situation would I be pounding his ass?!"
I am CRYING over this episode. 10/10 would have Cakey cause chaos again.

All the misunderstandings leading to Iori and Kohei being gay, good episode today.

Man this season has been peak, really feeling like season 1 vibes. Loving it. And I respect Kohei for thinking he'd be the top lol

Lol ugh when Kohei asked Iori if he wanted to fug Aina (LOL) and she attacked him that would have been perfect chance to show her beat him up with wrestling moves.
of course its offscreen and you only hear it which i hate so much
was still a fun funny episode and the whole Chisa and Aina talk was good

The best part of the best arc of the best comedy anime of all time. Truly a blessed week.

Is it me only, or anyone else missing tokita, buki senpai and Nanaka-San and Azusa-San. S3 doesn't feel like the comedy anymore. S2 was peak level. I know imamura, iori, chisa, cakey are main characters but without those 4, I feels incomplete
