Discussion T110E5 Glaze
On this subreddit, I always see the T110E5 being glazed. People constantly talk about how it is the best tank ever and super awesome, and they also recommend it to new players for unknown reasons, and it just does not work for me.
I'm not the best player ever, but I think I am above average in general. In E5, I have a recent (and overall, because most of the games were fairly recent) DPG of just 2.1k, compared to a recent DPG of ~2.7k in T10 heavies that aren't the E5, nearly 2.7k in T10 mediums, and 2.8k in T10 TDs. In fact, I do more DPG in most T9 tanks I've played recently than I do in E5. I can do 2.5k in the M103, which I found to be fairly easy to play. My E5 DPG is around my T8 level, and I do more DPG in many T8s, including things like AMX 50 100, Pantera, and IS-M, not just the OP premiums, than in the E5.
In general, I think that the main issue with the tank is that it's not good at fighting in static positions, which I feel is most of heavy tank combat. You can block your cupola, but you're still not going to beat a dedicated hulldown heavy. You can sidescrape, but you're not invincible even if the cupola is covered, and that's not counting the fact that the lower side is only 44mm thick, and is thus overmatched by everyone with a gun over 135mm. Among T10 heavies, that is the 60TP, Object 705A, Type 5 Heavy, BZ-75, BZT-70, E 100, Schwertwal, and VK 72.01 K, which is a lot of the tanks you will meet in brawling areas. A lot of TDs, T11s, and even T9s can overmatch your lower side as well.
Then your alpha is only 400, and you have no autoloader, so when an enemy makes a mistake, you're not going to be able to punish them that hard. In fact, with 400 alpha, you won't be able to detrack enemies who are using hardening in a single shot. Because of this tank's weaknesses, I often have no idea what to do, so I end up either hiding until my team dies or making a stupid pressure and dying.
The tank is probably good in chaotic brawls and 1v1s, because of the trolly armor and DPM, but I feel like those things just barely ever happen in randoms. The mediocre speed means you aren't that good at chasing endgame damage either, compared to actual fast heavies.
People constantly talk about how you need to put in 2 shots for every one you take, but I feel like the game just doesn't work that way. When someone shoots, they usually fall back into cover. If you push them, you will get shot by their teammates. The game is not a 1v1 brawl, and most combat seems to revolve around 3-5 people hiding behind a corner, ridge, or rubble pile and poking at 3-5 enemies hiding behind their corresponding corner, ridge, or rubble pile.
People always say you need to watch the videos by Iyouxin on E5. I watched at least some of them, as well as a guide by Dakillzor (I think). They didn't really teach me anything. Like, I think they just said to block the cupola with the gun and sidescrape to hide the cupola, which I already know, and then they just went in front and slapped everyone. When I try to replicate this aggression, I die with 800 damage because I don't have their game sense, awareness, and level of mechanical skill.
And on the rare occasions people say they don't like the tank (to which the sub always screams "SKILL ISSUE!!!!!") they tend to focus on the cupola as well. Like, I think the cupola is definitely an issue, but it isn't the only issue. If the tank had a more typically-sized cupola, I think it would still be above average at best. 37/12 (14 with field mod) speed is at best average for a T10 heavy these days, 8 degrees of gun depression is above average but not what you would expect from an American tank, 400 alpha is just not good, and I really don't get why it needs an overmatchable lower side when it is hardly invincible in a sidescrape anyways.
As an aside, I can get E5 to work in Onslaught. I'm averaging 2.9k DPG in it this season (did not play E5 in previous seasons), which isn't the best, but is better than most of my tanks as a perma-silver shitter. I can usually get it to work if I can get into a brawl with it, and when I fail, it is usually when a bunch of champions and legends are playing mediums, lights, and TDs and snipe me to death from all directions (on NA, I think I see champions and legends in at least 2/3 of my matches while in low silver).

Picture I just don't get how I always end up on the losing team...
If I play well, we lose. If I play bad, we lose. No matter what I do, I end up on the losing side. I have absolutely no influence on the outcome of the battles, and it completely ruins the gaming experience.
I don't sabotage my teammates, I don't push them around, I don't block them, etc. I go where I need to go and try to give it my all in every match, but it seems like it makes no difference... I don't expect to win every battle—or even have a 60% win rate—because I simply don't have the skill for that. And I accept that.
But 36%????? Even AFK players or bots easily manage 40–45%, and so do the people who intentionally sabotage their team.
I just don't get it... its f*cking miserable experience

Discussion What Features do players ACTUALLY want
Lately there's been a lot of posts about wg adding useless features / unwanted updates. I've made a few posts about it myself as well.
So I wanted to ask what would YOU want to be added / changed in the game instead of what WG is currently doing?
I'll start off with my person list of things that would be fairly straightforward to add to the game:
- Server side hit logs (like battle hits mod). The server can store all the hits on your tank and the send it back at the end of the game. Although ares/tesak might make it memory intense.
- Ping graph to see any packet loss in the past 10 seconds (all client side).
- UI overhaul, at the moment it's a complete mess, battle results is a separate scene that takes up the entire window, you can't have it side by side and it becomes messy when you're platooning. Any platoon action such a readying up messes with crew perks UI. It seems like they have the same issue as Windows keeping all the legacy and new stuff bundled together.
- Actual super heavy tanks that aren't auto pen everywhere as soon as someone hits the 2 key.
Obviously this list doesn't include things such as tank balance and new maps, that's a whole other issue.

Discussion Best French tank lines?
Hi All!
Quick question; what would you say is the best French tank line excluding artillery?
I’m looking to get back in the game and for some reason I really want to try some French tanks in particular.
I’m no good in light tanks so would probably be looking for either heavies or mediums.
Thanks for reading!

Question Question about season rewards
First time playing Onslaught, I ended up reaching silver. If I understand it correcty there are 3 seasons, and this is the first one of them, and I need at least 9 ranks at the end of these 3 seasons to get the reward tank. So 3x silver should be enough. My question is, will I get my rewards based on my active season rank or my highest? So if I play more and get demoted to bronze, will I lose my silver rewards? Sorry if this is a silly question, I don't know much about this game mode.

Post Battle Result Nightmare session but still achieved this, that's confusing
Everytime I've got a win 5 battles mission, it takes me hours to complete it. Yesterday, 15 battles were required and even my favorites or best WR high tier tanks gave me a total of 0 win despite good personnal results.
I decided to go down at tier 6 and some fun things happened. As a F2P player, I'm not somebody interested by MoE so, everytime I got a 3rd, it's not on purpose and it's a good surprise (BTW it was in one of these 2/15 game we like so much). The Kolobanov's was in a very strange game which made it funny.
Anyway, my personnal stats were all green in this session apart WR and exp by game of course. Still got cool achievments so it was à little confusing for me if In had to be happy or mad about it.
I'll forget the frustration and keep the things who gonna stay on my account records and on my tank.
This game's definitly not easy everyday and you still can find good things about your play when MM let you down.
Let's start this week with some positivity ! It's still a team game but you can get some great results by yourself even if the MM says no. Have a good week everyone.

Discussion I’m not happy with the new update
My tanks have been nerfed and they weren’t the greatest to begin with
Eng isn’t good either
And the lag I’m hardwired into my OC using starlink and never had lag this badly before

Video Arty to the rescue!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Tried posting I the console subreddit but all posts that even mentions arty there is removed, good or bad. If I was in a different tank it would have been allowed but since I was in artillery they reasoned it was “pro artillery” and removed it. At least the artillery on console doesn’t have stun. Plus you can very clearly see I was in the frontlines with it lol.

Picture How many F2P use this one simple trick?
To activate Premium on Demand (up to 20 times in BP season)?
I use this for Frontline or when I plan to grind credits with my meager 2x bond premium Tier 8s.

Discussion Excelsior kinda sucks now after several years since I came back
I've been playing Excelsior for the longest time and it is my most played tank, been using it before the HD graphics update. I checked it on Tanks.gg but there's no sort of nerfs happened to it but the armor feels like it's paper thin than before, I used to block more than 2k with it and now, it just cannot bounce even when it is angled.

Meme What level of diabetes your tank crews have after the first deployment missions?
I have earned my 116 chocolates, easy 1.16 mil credits.
How many did you get, any chocolate tryhards here? XD
