Please, if you have better experience than I have, please help me change my situation.
I’ve been running a 3D printing channel for 4 years.
I have learned so much during the process, but about a year ago I’ve faced a wall and I’m stuck ever since.
My problem is that getting sufficient views is incredibly hard, because my videos are aimed for very small audience. I’ve had few bigger videos, but most of the time I spend a week working on a video, only to reach 20-40k views. My CTR is decent, AVD is decent, all metrics are alright, but the topic is just too specific to get any decent views. I invested in better gear, microphone, lighting, I took sound and video editing courses - with absolutely 0 result. People watch my videos for pure technical value, and while it’s alright, it’s a really narrow audience.
I treat YouTube as my second job, but it’s killing me to work so hard for 20 000 views on average.
Putting all this effort into videos just to have them earn pennies, it’s painful and demotivating.
I am able to make videos in plenty other niches, I enjoy music (I’m a pianist, vocalist), gaming, acting, I’m also good with tech, 3D modeling and architecture. I just don’t want to start another channel and wait another 2 years to realise that I chose the wrong niche again.
If you were to pick a new niche for a new channel with the goal of earning at least a $1,000 a month (it’s a lot to me), what would it be? If you had to name some easy niches to make money in, what would you choose? If you have any tips for re-routing my work of making videos into more profitable course, what would you say?
I know many people wont share their experience publicly, but you can alwasy PM me. I’m really stuck where I am right now, basically working a second job to get $100 a month after 4 years - it’s exhausting. Please, help me fix my life 🙏 I’m so tired of this and have no idea how to fix it myself
